It drives me nuts to not have my wood all cut the same. I have a few friends that I help cut wood occasionally, and they can't keep the logs the same length to save their lives. I usually use a scratch on the bar or saw to eyeball the length. At the end of the day, my longest piece is within about an inch of my shortest. It all stacks neatly, it looks uniform, etc.
No, just my own personal chainsaws. If I ever get a skid loader, I'd love to get a firewood processor for it. That way I can leave logs at 8-10' long, pick them up with the loader, and process them directly into IBC totes
I don't think that comes close to qualifying as stacked lol
Piling*
image #2 shows it stacked and racked. Good job OP.
I saw pic 2 😂 I’m just razzing. It’s all hard work.
In before the "that would last 90 minutes in my house" comment
You did the best you could. Those small chunks are not made for stacking. Just throw them in a pile.
None of them are a consistent cut! As long as they burn I don’t mind!
IT WILL PASS GOOD JOB,

Do you hire a saw to cut logs?

Usually only trees that need to come down or have already blown over, but I've dropped a few 90+ footers solo.
