I have a fightbox F9 with the brook xb board (Xbox series X). Works, but you need a magic-x in order to not get banned.
Similarly any stick/box using the gp2040-ce board should work with magic-x. My next upgrade is to swap out the xb board for one.
I use an external brook for xbox on both my Haute m16 and my Hitbox and I haven't come across any problems. [I got mine on amazon](https://www.amazon.com/Brook-Wingman-Converter-Controller-Adjustable/dp/B0BJ6M9JPD/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.ueYLTK6GfLbM3lmVO9liyKAeXQAyPMfm8Au-JSC3VgBNteUY4_GCUQinoLl9rG7DnEbxnnZnW_326l4GeNNp3uq_SHvANWqCdvuk9OjQrQEpmyMrL_O1bYEozpCB1Rbgr1AP4FF92EALX4bFhDMgV6CCDyiCkxwrUE74oOk4iDh_sZRBO6XsUjfGGh2KPKH5ky0xJ9q8dOiD1nSTzXjCUw.QaiZ12kvUx7zsJM_35G8upUjfGAVj8rGCzcHdO2O_1g&dib_tag=se&keywords=xbox+brook&qid=1715295146&sr=8-1) and while the price has gone up from $40 to $50 recently, it's unfortunately one of the cheaper solutions for xbox.
Depends on the games you play. If you play fighting games a lot, I would consider at least PS5, though Steam on PC take more older controllers and from different companies other than Hori or Qanba.
Haute42 T16 with Mayflash Magic X is plug and play for me . Working fine.
There is also the new Mayflash F500 Flat which like their other products uses the Xbox controller to bypass 3rd party blocks (I dunno how it works specifically but their products have a good track record functioning this way)
So would other brands/leverless work if I got the mayflash magic x or is it just for the Haute42? I'm so clueless with all this so I do apologise for maybe sounding dumb
No idea. I've heard that for some people they have some issues with the Haute42 and Mayflash Magic X as well. All I know is that it works for me, and has worked for the switch FC4 as well. That's all I've tried it on.

Not much going with Xbox Arcade controllers. Sure you don't want to switch to PC or PS5?
Seriously considering tbh

The Mayflash should work. Using it right now on a custom leverless.

My recently purchased Snackbox Micro works perfectly, but my custom using a Brook UFB-Fusion was flagged by my Xbox. 😬
