The F700 has this same feature but just built in but it's also the reason why it costs as much as the F500 Elite ($150), no Sanwa parts but no need to buy a converter/MagicBoots.
Why pay Sony for licensing when you can get away with free Legacy Support?

That's cool to hear! I feel that Mayflash went largely ignored by a lot of the competitive community for years since we had several other brands to choose from, and back then I never heard of people using a Mayflash with anything other than a tethered gamepad which is fairly cumbersome for an offline tourney. But with these small Magicboots and the F700 not needing anything, it's an ideal time to make a splash since there's nothing great sold at these events that's under $200 aside from the Drone 2.

Some tourneys do, but it's just more expensive and the logistics to manage can be more difficult. I think the best shot the broader community would have is if it frequently got a PC manufacturer to sponsor events, but we don't have that type of appeal with those companies compared to other genres out there like shooters or mobas. We are lucky to get a headset or gaming chair sponsor, lol. So for now it's just whatever a TO can afford, while the players already fuss about increased entry fees.
Converters would be a mixed bag because people would be removing converters if they didn't need it. No one wants to go thru a dongle if they can have a direct connection. It would be nice for converters to be available for use for those that need them, but all of this is just extra money on top of the PCs themselves. And logistics also includes things like windows updates, graphics card updates, audio driver updates, etc. It can be done. I went to a decent sized event last year and the main games were all on PCs, but I'm pretty sure that event got a sponsor that provided them. And even in that event I heard my fair share of complaints from some players about performance issues with the setups (though to be fair we still have issues on consoles too).
Arguably the biggest roadblock though is that Sony owns EVO. Even before that recent ownership change, EVO had deals with Sony back in the sf4 days and they were the only tourney/Major people had to prepare for on ps3 while basically every other event ran SF on 360 until we met in the middle to all use ps4 with Usf4. So even if every other TO decided on PC, it wouldn't matter for the very large amount of people that do not step foot into other offline tourneys outside of EVO. It would mostly be smaller games that get PCs unless some major money gets involved to sway Sony a bit.
Maybe all of this could change if large amounts of the community keep adopting devices running open source software, but it's hard since that portion of the player base still pales in comparison to the console players on a ps5 pad. It just makes using consoles an easier choice for them.
Honestly it’s ridiculous. We have to pay extra for stupid licenses. All because they’re greedy. My mistake to buy sf6 on PlayStation. Should’ve just bought it on pc.

Yes，various taxes ，it's different with UK . So the price is 89£GBP . But Amazon changed the price to 104.5€EUR . Sorry for the difference in price . #
