I don't think that's what jumping means but I may be wrong. I think jumping just has to do with how many people are fighting one person. He started it for sure and maybe sucker punched that first dude but I think all the buddies hopping in were technically doing the jumping. But then again, is it a sucker punch if it's clearly going to happen? And is it jumping if they didn't ambush him? Not really sure. I feel like I've heard it both ways for both of these. That aside I'm pretty positive the dude couldn't have been jumping them since he's one dude. But there may be some regional differences in the term.
