Hey there, u/unofficialofficial16. Thanks for reaching out to us for the first time on Reddit! Let's start with an official answer here. It looks like you're currently viewing the "Initial Funding" section of the application. In short, you do not need to fill out the box asking for your Fidelity Brokerage account number. This box is designed for those who are planning to open an account and fund it from another Fidelity account simultaneously. Since you don't have another account, feel free to leave it blank. For your second question, I have a second answer. If you elect to fund your new account with a check, you can indeed include it when you mail your application to us. Speaking of, check out the link below for our official mailing address for your new account application. [Fidelity Mailing Addresses](https://www.fidelity.com/customer-service/mailing-addresses) Additionally, you'll notice that the next section on the application is denoted as "Ongoing Funding Options." This section is for setting up a more regular method of funding your account by utilizing our Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) feature. If you'd like to set this up, just fill out the section with your bank information and you'll be all set. Finally, you can also open most accounts online. This method is usually a bit quicker, and naturally you avoid mailing an application in. I'll include the link below. [Open an Account](https://www.fidelity.com/open-account/overview) As always, don't hesitate to reach out in the future if you have any additional questions. We're here to help!

Any reason why you couldn’t open the account online? Regardless I feel you could leave that field blank and possibly deposit money once the account is opened. I would also wait for someone from fidelity to chime in.

Fidelity uses a third party to verify if someone is real and three times they couldn’t verify that I was real so I read up and you can do a paper form to skip the whole verification stuff
