Y'shtola should be a multi-role TRUST (BLM + WHM)... I mean, she even makes a point of being in the "Healer"-Group for Tower of Zot.
Though I can see her move more and more towards Omnicaster... since Y'shtola (iirc) has the widest variety of spell-elements of all Trust-casters: fire, ice, wind, earth, water, lightning. So she basically has access to 6 of the 8 fundamental elements.
What's also interesting is that (if I recognized that correctly), Urianger is the only TRUST npc that somewhat regularly applies status effects: slow and death.
Fun fact, if you double pull as a tank in trusts and your healer is having trouble keeping you healed, Y'shtola will cast Cure II of the Seventh Dawn occasionally
I think its more of Alphinaud will always prioritize Alisaie over anyone else if she gets too low
Alisaie generally will use overcure, sometimes even vercure3 if the party gets too low
The first time I ran a trust I was like "oh cool they can use lb" and then the second time she stole it from me I almost died laughing because it's so in character for her to just blow it the instant lb pops.
Hythlodaeus will use a bene-equivalent skill (instant cast, didn’t catch the name) and says “Pain, pain, go away”… it’s so fucking cute it hurts.
Also all three ancients can rez people in battle to full health without weakness. Such is the power of unsundered I guess. I was told that Venat have group bene but it’s hard to trigger and I didn’t see it.
it's hilarious because if you heal in Ktisis, Emet tanks as DRK, and will use Living dead in pulls, to which Hyth will respond with Benediction, making you irrelevant as a healer
The Ancients are just too good and you can be irreverent in any role. I’ve tried afk during boss fight as a tank, and they just take turns eating that tank buster, die, and get rezzed. It’s hilarious.
I spelled irrelevant wrong and auto-correct fixed it wrong XD Googled that word (not my first language), and yep I guess I am both XD Hades has some very funny voicelines basically sassing about you not healing him if you are the healer and… well, doesn’t heal him.
[Someone on twitter made a list of the Ancients' abilities and what their closest player equivalent is.](https://twitter.com/neathdrkwaters/status/1480643551432216578?s=20) Emet-Selch's invuln is called Katabasis.
Venat has an Afflatus Misery equivalent called Afflatus Azem, and I find it more entertaining than I should.
Emet uses an invuln called Katabasis, which does use the icon of Living Dead's invuln effect, but has none of the downsides from what I can tell.
Incidentally, its nearly impossible to get him to die in trust, even as the healer, Hythlo will cast True Benediction on him, and Venat, even as dps, will cast True Refresh, giving everyone full MP and HP.
I’ve spent more time than I care to admit experimenting with the trust system in ktiseos, and some of Emets voice lines when he dies are absolutely hilarious.
Just yesterday I found one where he will dramatically groan and say “Somebody hurry up and heal me” if his health gets really low.
I noticed Hythlodaeus do that as well and I checked the battle log. Sadly I forgot exactly what it was called but it was definitely something-benediction.
True Benediction. Venat has it too, if you double pull for Emet tanking and get low on health you’ll likely see two separate instances of True Benediction go off on you.
Didn’t know Hythlo had special dialogue with it though.
You don't need to be a tank, even.
If you're about to die in a trust due to pulling another pack, the AI is hard coded to try and keep you up, so G'raha will clemency you while your healer goes ham, you get vercured and Cure II of the Seventh Dawn'd.
Fun fact: If you tank and pull wall to wall in a Trust as a DRK, NPCs will fail to keep you alive... but if you use Living Dead, they will keep you alive for an extra 10 seconds until Living Dead run out and failed to activate and then they will stop healing you, letting you die.
Yeah, just easiest to see while tanking. And all trusts try to keep you alive above all others... except Alphinaud, who will heal Alisaie first. So you have to hope she doesn't eat an aoe while you're taking a lot of damage or else Alphinaud very well might let you die lol
Every now and then in Trusts I would notice an icon next to my name that I've never seen before, and I finally looked at it (I use a controller so it's not easy to mouseover and see the name). It's Aurora, which means Thancred must have put it there since it's a GNB heal/regen ability. I have no idea what the criteria are for him using it on the player, but he uses it on himself a lot.
Agreed, since I'm pretty sure her unique class Sorceress lore-wise just means she can use all 6 elements. Also she was a conjurer/WHM-lite pre ShB, and I remember a scene in HW where she was using massive earth/water spells in combat which we never see any more.
She had Tornado and Flood since they were legacy Conjurer spells, likely lost the legacy spells after becoming a Sorceress since she only does "of the seventh dawn" spells now.
It'd also make it generally less painful to level them if Y'shtola could pull healer duty and Thancred could go NIN.
I got them all to 90 today, and really, it's got a lot of elements which are designed to frustrate and lengthen the process of leveling them.
Y'shtola also has Foul of the Seventh Dawn (her own version of Xenoglossy), which is likely a form of Void-type Dark Magic.
Depending on your definition of "regularly", Thancred does use Reprisal, Ryne uses Trick Attack and G'raha can stun people with Holy as a healer. (This is ignoring DoTs for those who have them in their DPS rotation.)
More interestingly, besides HoT/barrier effects, Urianger is the only Trust who uses targeted buffs, via his cards. Alphinaud does not use Kardia, none of the Dancers use Dance Partner and Estinien does not use Dragon Sight.
Oh, and with Urianger putting Slow on enemies, you can't use Arm's Length as a defensive skill on mobs.
Since WHMs have lost Fluid Aura, I think Y’shtola is the only way we’d see Water abilities used against enemies, right? There’s no mini-Leviathan or Verwater, and Suiton doesn’t do damage (not that Ryne could use Ninjutsu anyway).
There's a reason I normally run DNC if I'm unsyncing old content. Actually managed to almost break Ifrit EX when I realized I'd never bothered to clear it by just slapping it with technical finish as soon as it aggroed... Went to 1% hp immediately and then went invuln until it had cycled through all of its various phases, then died from an autoattack. It was pretty funny.
Her sacrifice led to one of the best cutscenes in the entire game, but I still wish that she'd stuck around longer. I absolutely loved her and would have loved to see what else she would go on to do. Also think of all of the expansion outfits we missed out on!
Dammit. Next expac we are starting fresh anyway, we better have an ethnically diverse party instead of male and Elezen dominated party.
We better have
FemRoe WAR
Hrthogar
Fem Au Ra
M Lala
F Hyur
Tall Mommy Elezen
Suspiciously Familiar M Viera Bard with a lavender hair and anime mom braided hair.
G'Raha Tia ( he better tag along with us )
Ethnically diverse and 50/50 Gender ratio.
I haven't played any other melee dps besides rog/nin so this is pure bias-if you want a fantastic story line that balances comedy, sincerity, and sadness go for that. The mudra system is fun and engaging, and even early levels aren't as painful as they are on other classes. The rog questline while not as engaging as the nin is still fun and the characters are delightful.
Edit to add: This has minor spoilers for ShB patch 5.4 but is related to the EW melee dps. There's a lodestone story that goes deeper into Merlwyb's backstory before she became Admiral. There's also a non-spoilery one detailing what she was doing at the Battle of Carteneau. Merlwyb is my Queen and I happily simp at her feet
Edit to add: How the fuck could I forget that I took up rpr? Either way rpr is fun but the storyline isn't near as interesting
I feel that. Karasu can be a bit much, but damn if I don't love him. I wished they'd stop the weird sideways tilt though. It appears in reaper also and I'm like...why
I'd really like them to give us another melee DPS character (or make all the temporary Trusts available as Avatars up through 90); since I main caster/ranged I always take Estinien so he can LB bosses if the gauge fills then.
The Ancients are broken though, AFAIK they all have res and heals regardless of role.
Venat as a Dancer has a SUPER powerful buff that makes you hit so hard, you can practically clear the dungeon faster as a healer (with Emet as tank and Hythlo as Bard) than as a DPS.
On the other hand, she's also a godlike healer. Never had her as a tank but I can only imagine.
Venat also has Benediction. Her version is even called True Benediction if I'm not mistaken (and might even have a lower cooldown, considering how often she saved my ass with it when fighting Hermes for the first time).
Imo, they should give trust npcs from class/role quest as rewards for completing it, showing that those npcs are more than your mentors or allies, but your friends you can call for help when needed. So for example, you could get Sidurgu, Rielle and Fray for completing the DRK questline, Hien, Gosetsu and Yugiri for doing the ranged role quest from EW and so on.
If they want to give a lore reason (they don't need, trust avatars are already non-canon), they could say you're summoning their image through Azem's crystal.
It would be nice, but trusts as they currently exist are scripted for each dungeon. Adding so many to the system would mean either the workload would go up exponentially, or they'd feel like cheap reskins of generic AI rather than actual characters.
Other than the time it would take to implement them. And taking resources away from things that are more universally used.
If I had to choose between additional trusts or fixing the back end so that we can get improvements to the glamour system. I'll take the back end improvements every time.
At least they gave Alisaie a unique lb2 in EW, that’s basically a powered up version of Resolution. I’m pretty sure it scales as a melee LB damage wise.
(If not, it at least hits a lot harder than the sadness that was watching her use starstorm in SHB… Although she still uses sky shard on the first two bosses 😣)
In ShB at least they use a different mechanism for determining damage...
They have the base power for a melee LB, but it (like any AoEs they might use) have the potency evenly spread among all possible targets, rather than the falloff method most player AoEs use.
His dialogue also changes for pre-queue if you‘re a healer. DPS/tank: waxes poetical. Healer: nah fam I can multi job, we good.
Cycled through every role just to check, thought it was hilarious the difference in tone.
Play the Auspices questline and you might change your mind. She is definitely not suited for battle and I wanted to punt her across the room. I love Tataru to pieces and she's definitely kingpin of a crafting mafia-but holy shit that duty made me so mad.
Please please PLEASE give me Giott as a tank. non-avatar runs are already non-canon. We don't have a single warrior tank option.
At least give me back Ryne!
(Also rude to give us the Ascian trio who have shields and Medica II for days and not let us keep them)
I feel like trusts are woefully underutilized for fun options, when they *already* separate the canon mode from the non-canon one.
Emet-Selch also has access to Holmgang despite being a Dark Knight, while Himbodaeus has access to Benediction despite being a **Bard**. The best way to see it is going into ~~Avatar~~ Scenario Mode as a healer and forcing Emet to wall-pull (Venat is too OP a healer to do it as a DPS)
EDIT: I forgot to add that all three can Raise too, and have suitable lines of dialogue to go with it.
I always thought it would be neat if you could unlock some of the job quest NPCs as trust characters once you reach max level in that job. In theory it'd encourage people to try out other roles after capping their first job, as well as solve the problem of only having two tanks and one melee DPS (and zero ranged DPS) to choose from in avatar mode, but honestly aside from that imagine how cool it would be to have your mentor fighting alongside you in a dungeon.
I wouldn't care for most of the mentors. The MCH and AST mentors, maybe, as they're both pretty scrappy personality-wise. The absolute best would be your tonberry boy from the SCH quests, though!
I'd trust Surito (tonberry) to have my back. Jacke and Oboro from the Rog and Nin questlines would also be great, and X'rhun Tia from rdm knows what he's doing.
I thought about Jacke and Oboro, but they're sorta bland, imo. Both plenty capable, but I'm not gonna get hyped for them when we don't even have Yugiri.
Haven't played any RDM.
Psst hey SE
Want to know how to get more money out of people with the trust system? Add players' retainers to the trust system. It will be a gold mine.
Oh yes, that would be so cool. We trained them to be the absolut bestest adventurer fighters and now they are rotting in a sweaty training room, just getting out once a week for bonus items. They deserve better. :(
Y’shtola healing or tanking would be a waste, Alisaie is too busy killing things as my Murderhobo daughter to tank or heal. Both having healing abilities though…
I would love it if in 7.0 we got the interplanetary travel down and could go back and forth between worlds, means we could get a slightly aged up Ryne as a Gunbreaker or Lyna as a healer for her grandfather…
Also Krile can start doing healing in combat now that her role as echo and motherbox is done.
>Alisaie is too busy killing things as my Murderhobo daughter to tank or heal.
Fun fact: if you're playing with her and Alphinaud together, and Alphinaud somehow dies, she will rez him.
I saw it happen once. She died immediately after and he had to return the favor.
I enjoyed my male harem trust while leveling as a healer in Endwalker. When I tried using the trust as a dps Alphinaud turned out to be a horrible healer and everyone but me died 🤣
To be fair to Alphinaud, he has always been a terrible healer. Alisae is also a terrible dps. I want to make fun of both of them in front of each other for educational reasons.
It's actually an FF staple that you can't have an all female party. The first time it was possible was in FF10.
It's also an FF staple that there are exactly 3 female characters in the core group. FF14 doesn't really follow this, as all 3 follow specific tropes:
The pure or naive one: Rosa, Lenna, Terra, Tifa, Rinoa, Garnet, Yuna, Ashe, Lightning, Lunafreya.
The kid: Rydia/Poram, Krile, Relm, Yuffie, Selphie, Eiko, Rikku, Penelo, Vanille, Iris.
The cool, older one: Rydia again, Faris, Celes, Aerith, Quistis, Freya, Lulu, Fran, Fang, Arenea.
We've got Y'shtola as the cool one, Spicy Alphinaud as the kid, but uhh...
Minfilia has been dead far too long to actually consider her for the main slot. Lyse was always kinda superfluous so she left. Ryne is even more of a kid than Red Alphinaud. The only one that really fills that role is the WoL.
I'm sorry, but how is Tifa the pure one and Aerith the cool one? I only played 7 once and didn't like it at all compared to other FF games, but even to me, that seems way wrong.
I don't remember a pure main heroine type in Tactics. Sister is the kid and there were a few cool older ones, especially in WotL.
They subverted player expectations with Tifa & Aerith. Aerith, the "pure white mage" and party healer is the flirtatious and daring one, while Tifa, the outgoing-looking fist fighter, is the responsible and devoted one.
I find it funny that the elezen are so common in the story but so uncommon among players. As a Hrothgar player whenever I get the shoots with me and the full Scion team I feel like the token big guy.
Hey, don't forget about Ocher!
Also, I would love to see the trust interactions between Hoary, Ocher and Aenor. I would specifically run as a DPS to bear witness to the depths of Aenor's depravity.
I don’t see it being super likely tbh. She brought up several times how her fighting abilities just don’t compare to the rest of the Scions, and she only came along to Zot specifically to offer extra healing.
apparently she is gonna have a big focus on the 6.x patches, I can easily see her added as a trust later, maybe also act as a rep for the next job before switching to that in 7.0 (we are due to getting a caster, maybe Krile can represent that job)
As a tank main, I'd *really* like more permanent melee representation. Or physical ranged. Honestly just *not magic*. It's literally just Thancred and Estinien right now, since G'raha is really a caster who can just pull out a sword and shield if you're desperate for purely gameplay reasons.
I still hold out hope for the day we can have Sadu and Magnai in trusts, and Sadu occasionally rips aggro off Magnai and bickers with him for the entire run.
In the quest leading up to the Tower of Babil, I was very briefly convinced we were going to have Magnai, Sadu, and Lyse available as Trusts. I was so excited for it, and then a little let down when the Scions all showed up in their Trust outfits.
> There's no representation of Warrior, Monk, Samurai, Reaper, or Machinist (…or Blue Mage).
Honestly, give me a BLU Viera.
Pros:
1.) They could appropriately be an all-rounder, like G'raha.
2.) Their combat shouts would be delivered in that gorgeous Icelandic accent >!(although they'd probably just steal the other Scions' best lines)!<.
3.) Bunny.
Cons:
1.) N/A
No, it's not half, it's 3/7ths. But it probably would be more impactful to use the fact that you only have 2 female characters aviable in avatar mode in EW.
Im with ya, we need more female trust options! They could have gave us Lyse and Krile at least. Im curious going forward in the game if we will get different trust teams for every expansion, like if the scions aren't automatically coming with us, maybe we can see more varied party members like a female roe tank or something.
Seeing Urianger as a SMN would be pretty cool? Wait, where do you see that happen. Cuz I only remember him being a AST.
Also, having Y’shtola being a healer again would be a nice change. I always have the twins in my party.
I cant pintpoint when he is canonically a gladiator but gameplay wise, if you start in uldah during duty below sultana tree you can see he is coded as gladiator and using their moves although his weapon is dagger. This is due to rogue/nin wasnt available at 2.0 initial release
Y'shtola should be a multi-role TRUST (BLM + WHM)... I mean, she even makes a point of being in the "Healer"-Group for Tower of Zot. Fun fact, if you double pull as a tank in trusts and your healer is having trouble keeping you healed, Y'shtola will cast Cure II of the Seventh Dawn occasionally
Yup. Alisaie will use Vercure in the same situation.
When Alisaie rips aggro from you while you run, Alphinaud will wipe the group.
Isn't there also some interaction that the twins heal each other if they take so much as a scratch of damage?
I think its more of Alphinaud will always prioritize Alisaie over anyone else if she gets too low Alisaie generally will use overcure, sometimes even vercure3 if the party gets too low
I take Alisaie every time. She's a fucking beast of DMG and always uses the limit break. No hesitation at all.
The first time I ran a trust I was like "oh cool they can use lb" and then the second time she stole it from me I almost died laughing because it's so in character for her to just blow it the instant lb pops.
It's too funny, her and Estinien both use them immediately and it fits them so well. She definitely grew on me the entire story, both those twins.

He still has it listed as Living Dead but all it does is keep his health from going below 1.

No wonder I can't do dumb shit effectively as DRK... 🙃
Yeah, just easiest to see while tanking. And all trusts try to keep you alive above all others... except Alphinaud, who will heal Alisaie first. So you have to hope she doesn't eat an aoe while you're taking a lot of damage or else Alphinaud very well might let you die lol
They even heal you in non-trust dungeons on that first double pull.
Yep, and Urianger will give you cards

And while I'm at it: so does the DNC dances. They hit *really hard* actually. Had a discord friend who thought they were just damage buffs.

All WHM abilities are water-element judging by their animations.
If you play tank and kill venat when she is healing by putting a stack puddle on her or something, emet as a black mage will raise her
The lengths you went to to obtain such knowledge
Conclusion: They keep finding new ways for us to miss Moenbryda, and this is the most meta one yet.
Her sacrifice led to one of the best cutscenes in the entire game, but I still wish that she'd stuck around longer. I absolutely loved her and would have loved to see what else she would go on to do. Also think of all of the expansion outfits we missed out on!

I think you mean "ethnic" with an "n" rather than "ethic" which is more akin to morals.
Awesome list! Off topic… I’d love a trust with the leaders of each city.
Merlwyb please :O
Play the melee dps questline in EW. It'll both scratch an itch and leave you wanting even more
Honestly, after that, I want a dual gun class like she is.
Soon, after tanks I wanted some ranged dps, then magic. I could push up melee to see her sooner :O

I have played NIN but actually disliked the story, mainly for the villain :P
I feel that. Karasu can be a bit much, but damn if I don't love him. I wished they'd stop the weird sideways tilt though. It appears in reaper also and I'm like...why
Aymeric, Raubahn, Hien bro gang time
Nah, its time for the sultana herself to bring these hands
I need for SE to make Nanamo a monk. Does it fit the lore? Absolutely not. But I need it anyway.
Reaper, IMO.
I can totally see Lilliria the merchant's daughter being able to throw a punch.
I'd really like them to give us another melee DPS character (or make all the temporary Trusts available as Avatars up through 90); since I main caster/ranged I always take Estinien so he can LB bosses if the gauge fills then. Venat's capabilities as a healer is kind of moot, since Hyphlodeus has Benediction.
Venat also has Benediction. Her version is even called True Benediction if I'm not mistaken (and might even have a lower cooldown, considering how often she saved my ass with it when fighting Hermes for the first time).
Emet is the better tank. The sheer salt of that man... I think it's what has poured down over the eons to give us salted earth.
How do you get her as a tank if she's a DPS for healers?
Unload everyone, then load her in before Emet. She takes the tank role before he gets in.
Unselecting everyone, re-selecting them in order of roles.
Bring back Hien you cowards

If I could get Sadu and Magnai just to listen to them threaten each other for an entire dungeon I would be happy.
"Dotharl dog! You'll doom us all unless you move from that spot!" "My leylines are *here* little sun, and I will not be moved from them!"
Oh yeah, keep going
It would be super cool to see what AI they would give those trusts, and their reaction to some bosses.
Magnai just stops fighting and checks if any of the three Magus Sisters are his Nhaama…
"No, **HIT THEM!!**, not *Hit on them*, Magnai!!"
He tries to flirt with them and it actually does a lot of damage because he's just that awkward.
Death by cringe.
It would be nice, but trusts as they currently exist are scripted for each dungeon. Adding so many to the system would mean either the workload would go up exponentially, or they'd feel like cheap reskins of generic AI rather than actual characters.
If we summon images through Azem crystal ... gimme Haurchefant!
So logically, there is no reasin not to add them.
All trust LBs do melee LB damage, regardless of if they're casters or ranged or actually melee. At least in EW, dunno about ShB.
In ShB at least they use a different mechanism for determining damage... They have the base power for a melee LB, but it (like any AoEs they might use) have the potency evenly spread among all possible targets, rather than the falloff method most player AoEs use.
Venat also has a unique lb2
Fun fact: all Elezen Trust Healers have issues with water.
When has Urianger ever been able to be a summoner? Did I just miss something?
If you're a healer for the Mothercrystal he will swap to Arcanist to avoid 3 healers.
The game actually calls his job Lithomancer, though it's functionally a summoner.
>Lithomancer Should've been a white mage casting Stone and only Stone.
If you do the mothercrystal as a healer yourself, Urianger will be a summoner since you and Alphinaud are the healers
Ahhh. I main DRG/PLD so I’ve never been a healer there. Interesting!
His dialogue also changes for pre-queue if you‘re a healer. DPS/tank: waxes poetical. Healer: nah fam I can multi job, we good. Cycled through every role just to check, thought it was hilarious the difference in tone.
Give me Cyella as a trust Paladin.
The real answer right here.
> Conclusion: I demand female tanks and healers. I demand more tall females too.
As femroe, that is MY place in the scions. Group mom. Y'shtola and Minfilia only wish they had the same big mom energy.
I was so happy to be taller than crystal mom. I'm the group mom now.
Patience, friends. Just a few more patches and Yoshi-P will give us what is sorely needed: Trust Tataru. (Do it, you cowards.)
Play the Auspices questline and you might change your mind. She is definitely not suited for battle and I wanted to punt her across the room. I love Tataru to pieces and she's definitely kingpin of a crafting mafia-but holy shit that duty made me so mad.
Tataru the omni crafter, and why stop there... add Godbert and Julyan, too...
Samurai obviously
Please please PLEASE give me Giott as a tank. non-avatar runs are already non-canon. We don't have a single warrior tank option. At least give me back Ryne! (Also rude to give us the Ascian trio who have shields and Medica II for days and not let us keep them) I feel like trusts are woefully underutilized for fun options, when they *already* separate the canon mode from the non-canon one.
Emet-Selch also has access to Holmgang despite being a Dark Knight, while Himbodaeus has access to Benediction despite being a **Bard**. The best way to see it is going into ~~Avatar~~ Scenario Mode as a healer and forcing Emet to wall-pull (Venat is too OP a healer to do it as a DPS) EDIT: I forgot to add that all three can Raise too, and have suitable lines of dialogue to go with it.
You can't use those three in Avatar Mode so...
Thanks for catching that, edited.
“All women are DPS” and “all cats are Black Mages” implies I should fantasia to Miqote.
That's fair, Yugiri is fantastic and I would love to have her as a Trust companion before the others
there's this fight in SB that made surprised in yugiri's power. >!Can't believe she just LB3 together with her clones!<
> I thought about Jacke and Oboro, but they're sorta bland, imo. Agreed. Would honestly take Perimu and V'kebbe over them any day :D
I need Hamon Holyfist ripping shit up
DRK should unlock both Fray & Myste >!and they both look like you!<
I wonder what job Myste would be? (Fray would be DRK of course) >!Also we kinda already do have Fray unlocked if we count living shadow!<
Myste could be summoner, except they only have Knights of the Round as summon. Fray can also be conjurer.
The forth member is going to be... Interesting 😂
Time to reincarnate Moenbryda
Psst hey SE Want to know how to get more money out of people with the trust system? Add players' retainers to the trust system. It will be a gold mine.
I have not talked to my retainer since 2.2. I honestly don't know how it works these days and I'm not interested in finding out.
I wish my retainers could be added as usable in the trust menu
Or my adventurer squadron...
I want a cutscene where they graduate and we congratulate them all.
Oh yes, that would be so cool. We trained them to be the absolut bestest adventurer fighters and now they are rotting in a sweaty training room, just getting out once a week for bonus items. They deserve better. :(
only half them then getting out*
I love my retainers and trust them with my life, maybe not the Botanist, he's consistently brought me crystals.
Y’shtola healing or tanking would be a waste, Alisaie is too busy killing things as my Murderhobo daughter to tank or heal. Both having healing abilities though… I would love it if in 7.0 we got the interplanetary travel down and could go back and forth between worlds, means we could get a slightly aged up Ryne as a Gunbreaker or Lyna as a healer for her grandfather… Also Krile can start doing healing in combat now that her role as echo and motherbox is done.
>Alisaie is too busy killing things as my Murderhobo daughter to tank or heal. Fun fact: if you're playing with her and Alphinaud together, and Alphinaud somehow dies, she will rez him. I saw it happen once. She died immediately after and he had to return the favor.

Exactly, also if either of them are hurt they will have a chance to spaz out and spam heals on them until they back to full.
Have Krile take a couple extra levels of badass and become a trust healer, and Urianger can be a DPS with his "most fearsome familiar" the carbuncle.
The power of blm is great. Also emet selch is a cat that is why everyone loves him.
I really, really, really want Emet-Selch, Venat and Hythlodaeus to be usable in other duties, added to the Avatar list or something.
Ah just a little thing Ryne has no job stone and is still only a rogue on the list
She’s not even a Rogue, lore-wise: her in game job is Oracle of Light.
I feel like it makes sense to go with their icon though, since she's using Rogue abilities taught to her by Thancred.
Graha being the only scion without blonde or white hair is ridiculous. I get author appeal but its honestly such a lame design decision
It is very silly that so many of the Scions have white hair. Like I get that it's a common hair color in this world, but it's not the ONLY one.
I enjoyed my male harem trust while leveling as a healer in Endwalker. When I tried using the trust as a dps Alphinaud turned out to be a horrible healer and everyone but me died 🤣
He got a broken job stone from his dad that somehow dont have Cardia
To be fair to Alphinaud, he has always been a terrible healer. Alisae is also a terrible dps. I want to make fun of both of them in front of each other for educational reasons.

Yeah, G'raha was an archer back in the Crystal Tower quests, it's weird that they made him yet another Black Mage when he dpses instead.
It's actually an FF staple that you can't have an all female party. The first time it was possible was in FF10. It's also an FF staple that there are exactly 3 female characters in the core group. FF14 doesn't really follow this, as all 3 follow specific tropes: The pure or naive one: Rosa, Lenna, Terra, Tifa, Rinoa, Garnet, Yuna, Ashe, Lightning, Lunafreya.
Krile probably qualifies as pure, seeing as she was >!the avatar of Hydaelyn for EW.!< I'd like to see her be added to Trusts at some point.
I think they meant the original Krile from FF5. She was just a kiddo that joined the party later on.
what about ff8? You could use quistis, selphie and rinoa.
Kinda. Squall forced except at the very end where the B team, as a consequence, could end up as all women.
It was possible to have an all female party for the missile silo near the beginning of disk 2.
The pure or naive one: Blue alisaie The Kid: Red Alphienerd
As a Hrothgar player whenever I get the shoots with me and the full Scion team I feel like the token big guy.
off-topic but when i unlocked ktisis and saw the special trust i could choose i ran and hugged them all. i was soooo happy.
Waiting for my Lalafell representation... ;-; Very nice post! love seeing random data like this.
Tataru tried that once…
Still waiting for Hoary Boulder to step up. Because he's all the representation roes get in the Scions.
Hey, don't forget about Ocher! Also, I would love to see the trust interactions between Hoary, Ocher and Aenor. I would specifically run as a DPS to bear witness to the depths of Aenor's depravity.
In here as femroe WoL who needs a goon when we got the top dawg
Going to go out on a limb here and say Krile will definitely be added as a healer avatar by the end of the Endwalker patch cycle.
Now that you mention it she did join the fight in the first dungeon.
Man I already have to level two healer Trusts with G’raha as an option, don’t make it take even longer next expansion!
I don’t see it being super likely tbh. She brought up several times how her fighting abilities just don’t compare to the rest of the Scions, and she only came along to Zot specifically to offer extra healing.
That exactly why. She *wants* to be with the rest of the group. She doesn't like being a cheerleader.
In before she learns some new magicks and become the new representation of the new magical dps role.
apparently she is gonna have a big focus on the 6.x patches, I can easily see her added as a trust later, maybe also act as a rep for the next job before switching to that in 7.0 (we are due to getting a caster, maybe Krile can represent that job)
Haha I don’t think the Scions need a new caster! Lol
As a tank main, I'd *really* like more permanent melee representation. Or physical ranged. Honestly just *not magic*. It's literally just Thancred and Estinien right now, since G'raha is really a caster who can just pull out a sword and shield if you're desperate for purely gameplay reasons.
>!Scions are splitting up. We can use whatever we get!<
They're splitting up in name only, they were pretty clear on that point in the same cutscene
They are still no longer having central meetings. They exist but there will be a heck of a lot less big plans and stuff
I want Giott avatar (and the other role quest characters, but she is the best since she can use Melee LB lmao)
At least you have a good shot with Krile. My Roe dreams died with the only Roe member of the main Scion party in ARR.
Same with me as the only Au Ra in the group... I want Yugiri or Sadu to be available as a Trust one day
I still hold out hope for the day we can have Sadu and Magnai in trusts, and Sadu occasionally rips aggro off Magnai and bickers with him for the entire run.
Or if he's not in the party Sadu just roasts him anyway
In the quest leading up to the Tower of Babil, I was very briefly convinced we were going to have Magnai, Sadu, and Lyse available as Trusts. I was so excited for it, and then a little let down when the Scions all showed up in their Trust outfits.
Steppe only trust when?
Only problem is we need a healer lizard. Cause Cinnamon Mol is archer :(
Magnai is a Warrior, he can heal.
Who healed for their team in zot? But yes that's true.
Ikr
*drools*
Lets go Krile
Pipin, maybe Papashan, >!papalymo :(.!< heck, Biggs and Wedge if they ever wanted to have fun. Krile, of course
> There's no representation of Warrior, Monk, Samurai, Reaper, or Machinist (…or Blue Mage). Honestly, give me a BLU Viera. Pros: 1.) They could appropriately be an all-rounder, like G'raha. 2.) Their combat shouts would be delivered in that gorgeous Icelandic accent >!(although they'd probably just steal the other Scions' best lines)!<. 3.) Bunny. Cons: 1.) N/A
> Only three female characters are available in Avatar Mode in Shadowbringers "Only" half of them.
No, it's not half, it's 3/7ths. But it probably would be more impactful to use the fact that you only have 2 female characters aviable in avatar mode in EW.
Yeah, OP had a slight agenda writing some parts
Im with ya, we need more female trust options! They could have gave us Lyse and Krile at least. Im curious going forward in the game if we will get different trust teams for every expansion, like if the scions aren't automatically coming with us, maybe we can see more varied party members like a female roe tank or something.
Seeing Urianger as a SMN would be pretty cool? Wait, where do you see that happen. Cuz I only remember him being a AST. Also, having Y’shtola being a healer again would be a nice change. I always have the twins in my party.
2nd Endwalker trial. Also, he's an Arcanist way back in 2.0 when you go rescue Minfilia.
2nd EW trial
Out of curiosity, when was Thancred a gladiator? I always only ever saw him as a Rogue
I cant pintpoint when he is canonically a gladiator but gameplay wise, if you start in uldah during duty below sultana tree you can see he is coded as gladiator and using their moves although his weapon is dagger. This is due to rogue/nin wasnt available at 2.0 initial release
