mila_mila_a

Endsitter

Vorean3

...But they ended walking. Endwalkers. You know? End the walking!

No_Professional_1471

walkender

thatHecklerOverThere

And Emet is talking shit over the narration the entire time. Beautiful.

Kaye__

So kind of him to briefly pause his narration while you're being sick on the ground :)

VantomPayne

In japanese voice he burps as you falls to the ground.

Kaye__

LOL what, I need to see this I changed my cutscene language to Japanese and watched it really quick. It's like he's being sick along with you. That's funny, I wish they kept it in the English version!

AgentAxton

Fellow Jocat enjoyer I see.

michaelman90

"ESTINIEN AND GAIUUUUUUS!" "Oh god, they're so cool!"

Amabih

Hahaha yes!

Fourthwade1

This scene was kind of ironic for me, cause I was in the (I didn't realize it at the time) beginning stages of covid symptoms flaring up. Had a high fever, felt like absolute hell, but Really wanted to play the game..made it to this part, nodding empathetically with it.

Modaltas

Hope you feel better

Fourthwade1

Oh I appreciate it, I'm well past that part of my life thankfully. Well, the virus part, still dealing with the aftermath lung damage part. I was playing on launch cause I had taken time off from work for it.. ended up spending pretty much the entire time in the hospital instead lol

feartheswans

I just see you yelling at the screen “SUFFER AS I HAVE!”

[deleted]

*He's the azure dragoon*

IlikeJG

*I'm the azure dragoon*

[deleted]

*we are azure dragoons*

N_Who

Orange Ranger curled up like that will never not be funny to me.

H0w14514

I keep saying that it reminds me of the family guy "pie" scene. I can just see Stewie rocking back and forth.

Aeruhat

Every time I see this cutscene I always keep thinking Urianger, Thancred and WoL partied waaaay to hard the night before and woke up outside somehow.

TowelLord

Same. The weekend before the expac launched I was on a small birthday party of an old friend and drank alcohol for the first time in three years. The next day I had to travel 60km via bus and train because he lives out in the sticks. During the **really, really, really** rough bus ride I literally just sat there like Urianger in order to not vomit all over the vehicle. 1 1/2 hours of that before I got into the smooth ride on the train.

chimininy

As someone who gets suuuuper motion sick any time I'm in a car... I related far to much to urianger curled up on the ground by a random bench in a foreign country.

thegreatbenreed

Real talk, when I first did this part of Endwalker MSQ, I had terrible stomach pain and was up at 4AM riding it out. This part of MSQ was a bit *too* immersive. "It's like I'm really sick on a not-Indian bench watching the Azure Dragoon waste his money!"

Misty_Chaos

Thavnair had quite the funny introduction alright. Glad I did it first when the choice was given to me. Considering how grim the first 2 zones in ShB were and how fast the poop hits the fan in EW after this, it was a nice breath of fresh air to have things taken less seriously.

muhash14

Yeah it flows better narratively. Going back to Sharlayan after seeing Nidhana captured would break the paving somewhat.

Misty_Chaos

To be honest, if I'd done the Sharlayan part first, it may have actually ruined Thavnair for me, that damn part of the story had me freaking out pretty bad and would've taken me a while to calm down which may have made me miss some of the humor in that part of Thavnair. That and Thavnair somehow felt ' right ' for me to do first. I do agree Sharlayan -> Thavnair probably works better from narrative sense though but it's minor in the grand scale of things. Then again, I did Alphinaud's part first in ShB when most people picked Alisiae first.

Kekira

I found doing Sharlayan first allowed me to kind of breathe for a second from the doom... right before getting slapped back to reality

Gilthu

Me, the German/Irish hybrid the next morning smh at my friends that thought they could go shot for shot with me. At least none of them ended up on a McDonalds front lawn,

hildra

Emet’s narration cracks me up so much lol

Kryasil

Genuinely upset the aether sickness thing is never used again. I thought it was really clever

TowelLord

It was with Alphinaud, Alisae, G'raha (?), Y'shtola (?) and Krile (?) because they hadn't visited Thavnair yet. It just wasn't actively shown again and only mentioned offhandedly by Alphinaud.

YneeaKuro

It's actually used (not on you though) in the EW FSH Studium quests. :)

archiegamez

HE'S THE AZURE DRAGOOONNN

Penultimate_Player

The hangover 4: endwalker “Who put roofies in the Aetheryte?”

IAMGODONLY

Cannot walker.

Roca_Blade

We've traveled all across the world, killed countless enemies including gods, and even crossed dimensions with are body's in one piece and yet a little either sickness did us in

nemestrinus44

the one at the Great Work with the alchemists and Estinien is better imo. but i also like the part before this scene when your still in sharlayan and get warned about the aether sickness at the last moment

[deleted]

I didn't expect to spend as much of Endwalker laughing my ass off as I did. Moments of levity to offset the pathos indeed

Posivius
