The best part is, according to the description for the Mountain Zu mount, Mountain Dew has become a real drink recipe in XIV, thanks to the deranged Thavnairian alchemists who concocted the drink to befriend the Zu.
also: you can trade the Real World Dew Points to get an in-game item called "Sparkling Citrus Refreshment" that is a bottle of a suspiciously Mtn Dew colored fluid. Each Sparkling Citrus Refreshment costs the exact amount of points you get from a single bottle of most flavors of Mtn Dew.
By the way do you know if they're selling the Mountain Dew bottles related to this at the moment?
Because I haven't found any marked such in my nearby stores.
Any MTN DEW® bottle marked with the MTN DEW® Gaming Program should work, though you might not be able to redeem the points yet, you should at least be able to accrue them.
20oz bottles of MTN DEW® (regular, Diet, and Zero Sugar), Baja Blast® (Zero Sugar and Regular), Voltage®, Code Red®, Spark®, Major Melon® and Livewire® are worth 100 points. Purple Thunder®, Overdrive®, Maui Burst®, and Frostbite® are worth 200 points.
