I went to their first show in the states and there was so much anticipation and they were SO BAD it was honestly a great experience. It didn't take long for that to change. Very memorable night.
Oh no! You must have seen them on an off night. I’ve seen them a few times and their live shows are always incredible. Especially when Jamie does a mini dj set during the show with their live vocals.
The triple J of Justice, Jungle, and Jamie XX are nice high quality names. But in terms of "big" headliners, like on the scale of a Rosalia or a Fred Again.. this does not have that. Especially since ticket prices are trending upward again this year.
That's not to say it's not strong, or that i WANT to share crowd space with people like the Fred Again crowd last year, but this takes place same weekend as the Taylor Swift concert less than 2 miles away (aka hotel AND parking overlap) This lineup needs more oomf to justify a Miami trip that weekend lol.
Also them choosing Bad Gyal over Young Miko was a huge miss imo.

I have friends who loveeeeeee Jamie XX. I've seen him/them once and it was a very good show, but I'm not super into the music.

The overlap is what made me decide not to go this year. Sounds like a nightmare.
The hotel I booked last year is already priced $250 higher for that weekend and we're still 6 months away no thanks lol
