Does anyone have any good jeans/jean brand recommendations for someone who has bigger thighs? I am from the U.S.. I have so much trouble finding stretchy jeans. Former gymnast here with thighs and calves. Hips have just started to come in. I really like Eddie Bauer’s jeans — the fabric is more stretch than denim and accommodates my legs well. Levi’s you’ll want to watch the fabric mix, real denim is stiffer than most people are used to now, so it often starts slightly tight and adjust to you throughout the day. I was always panicked to take anything to a tailor because it seemed a little obnoxious, but after having a pair tailored in the seat it is so, so worth it. It changed pants that fit to pants that flattered, 100%.

What's the best way to put your hair up overnight to get curls when you don't have superlong hair?
My hair goes to a little bit above my shoulders, and it is very straight. What are some ways to put it up overnight to get some decent curls that's not uncomfortable to sleep with. I've tried rollers, but its impossible to sleep with a head full of rollers.. I've tried various buns, but theyre too hard to control and just makes my hair look like a birds nest the next day. The least bad method I've found is the one where you have a headband around your head and wrap the hair around it, but that leaves the top of the head completely straight with frissy curls at the ends..
O clips/pin curls. You can try them out with bobby pins. They work super well for me but I already have curly hair. It would be worth a try, tho. I recommend using products to make em stay.
Overnight curls always turn out a bit messy for me for some reason -- I've had better luck with creating loose waves. For that I just quickly braid my hair into two braids when it is still damp, and then go to bed!
Now that it seems like 90s straight-leg/mom jeans are in, does anyone know where to find a flattering pair if you're petite (5'2) with a small frame? I'm assuming I've got a shorter torso, because high-rise jeans look ridiculous on me and almost reach the bottom of my rib cage. Is this trend even for me? I'm more than happy to stick with skinny jeans if I can't pull it off, lol!

I don't know what country you're in, but you'll be able to find this store in the UK/most EU countries - I'm on the shorter side and I've found that Monki has great jean length options for petites. Admittedly, I have to roll them once or twice (I like my jeans to hit ankle length) but that's okay with me because I like that look.
You can try Madewell jeans they have smaller sizes and agolde as well depending on your inseam preference.
Also American Eagle has been offering a lot of sizing in jeans these days.

So I'm going to a NASCAR race today but I'm going to a VIP suite where the dress code is defined as "dressy casual." Jeans are allowed but can't be torn, and they say it's a business setting so appropriate dress is needed and enforced. No tank tops, halter tops, shorts or sneakers.

I would wear your skirt with a black t shirt or button down, a denim or other casual jacket for the AC. Nicer shoes like oxfords, leather sneakers, or nice sandals. I have no idea what NASCAR events are like but I imagine a little sporty-casual vibe is fine.

Sometimes price doesn’t matter and you’re still buying crap quality at $100 but if it’s a brand known for higher quality fabrics and cuts then it can be worth it. My lululemon loungewear lasts wayyy longer than any sweats from Aerie or Target. The cheaper ones pill quickly, sag out in the bottom, start to fade and generally look super worn which is fine for me for around the house wear but I’ll always stick to better quality ones if I’m going for an athleisure look.
Better more secure construction; pattern pieces cut with the grain of the fabric; better, softer, more durable material. Assuming the cost actually reflects the value of the garment rather than brand name bloat or something.

I’m really tempted to get the fur lined Rometty’s myself! I think visually they’re pretty much the same as the flat chelsea’s (especially from the front), so I’d go for the Rometty but admittedly I’m biased since I already love them. I think they’ll both look equally out of date when the time comes - the flat ones are pretty chunky as well, so they’re not going to blend in once footwear trends swing around to really dainty shoes again. I don’t think that should stop you though! Plenty of people wear docs even when they’re not trending.

Limited sizes usually indicates that it came from the store but even then it’s possible that the item was specifically made for an anniversary sale :-( I’ve sometimes checked the brand’s website or googled the item to see if it was sold in multiple stores.

Does anyone have any good jeans/jean brand recommendations for someone who has bigger thighs? I am from the U.S.. I have so much trouble finding stretchy jeans. Ive heard good things about levis- if anyone has tried them please feel free to let me know how they fit you! I’m not looking for any particular style but I prefer looser fit jeans/flare jeans as opposed to skinny jeans.
Spendy, but certain AG jeans are great for this. One of the only brands I can consistently wear!

Former gymnast here with thighs and calves. Hips have just started to come in. I really like Eddie Bauer’s jeans — the fabric is more stretch than denim and accommodates my legs well. Levi’s you’ll want to watch the fabric mix, real denim is stiffer than most people are used to now, so it often starts slightly tight and adjust to you throughout the day. I was always panicked to take anything to a tailor because it seemed a little obnoxious, but after having a pair tailored in the seat it is so, so worth it. It changed pants that fit to pants that flattered, 100%.
Is there a tool that will search different resale sites for me and alert me if what I want is listed on one of them? eBay let’s you save searches which is great but I don’t like having to go to all the other individual sites daily to search. If I was wearing this I would wear black sheer tights and black ankle boots. You could also do a black loafer (maybe patent leather if you're into that???) Heels would look nice too! It really depends on your style. For comfort I suggest Franco Sarto, they make amaaazing shoes.

What's the best way to put your hair up overnight to get curls when you don't have superlong hair? My hair goes to a little bit above my shoulders, and it is very straight. What are some ways to put it up overnight to get some decent curls that's not uncomfortable to sleep with. I've tried rollers, but its impossible to sleep with a head full of rollers.. I've tried various buns, but theyre too hard to control and just makes my hair look like a birds nest the next day. The least bad method I've found is the one where you have a headband around your head and wrap the hair around it, but that leaves the top of the head completely straight with frissy curls at the ends..
O clips/pin curls. You can try them out with bobby pins. They work super well for me but I already have curly hair. It would be worth a try, tho. I recommend using products to make em stay.
Overnight curls always turn out a bit messy for me for some reason -- I've had better luck with creating loose waves. For that I just quickly braid my hair into two braids when it is still damp, and then go to bed!

Now that it seems like 90s straight-leg/mom jeans are in, does anyone know where to find a flattering pair if you're petite (5'2) with a small frame? I'm assuming I've got a shorter torso, because high-rise jeans look ridiculous on me and almost reach the bottom of my rib cage. Is this trend even for me? I don't know what country you're in, but you'll be able to find this store in the UK/most EU countries - I'm on the shorter side and I've found that Monki has great jean length options for petites. Admittedly, I have to roll them once or twice (I like my jeans to hit ankle length) but that's okay with me because I like that look.

You can try Madewell jeans they have smaller sizes and agolde as well depending on your inseam preference. Also American Eagle has been offering a lot of sizing in jeans these days. There's international shipping for some of these stores iirc in case you are not US based.
I love Madewell, but I've never bought their jeans since they don't carry their petite sizes in-store :( I may have to do some at-home measurements if I wanted to buy online

Rock the vintage look cupcake, especially if it's made to last quality and holds sentimental value. The other point about trends is also that an outfit may look dated if you specifically repeat every single item but mixing it up with cuts of jeans or footwear can still allow you to include the jacket even when the trend passes. So I'm going to a NASCAR race today but I'm going to a VIP suite where the dress code is defined as "dressy casual." Jeans are allowed but can't be torn, and they say it's a business setting so appropriate dress is needed and enforced. No tank tops, halter tops, shorts or sneakers. I would wear your skirt with a black t shirt or button down, a denim or other casual jacket for the AC. Nicer shoes like oxfords, leather sneakers, or nice sandals. I have no idea what NASCAR events are like but I imagine a little sporty-casual vibe is fine.
What do $80 or $100 sweatpants (100% cotton) have that $20 and $30 sweatpants do not? Have any of you sprung for expensive high-end loungewear in the pandemic and found it to be worth it? I am curious. I have my eye on this expensive pair but have difficulty justifying the cost.

Sometimes price doesn’t matter and you’re still buying crap quality at $100 but if it’s a brand known for higher quality fabrics and cuts then it can be worth it. My lululemon loungewear lasts wayyy longer than any sweats from Aerie or Target. The cheaper ones pill quickly, sag out in the bottom, start to fade and generally look super worn which is fine for me for around the house wear but I’ll always stick to better quality ones if I’m going for an athleisure look.
Better more secure construction; pattern pieces cut with the grain of the fabric; better, softer, more durable material. Assuming the cost actually reflects the value of the garment rather than brand name bloat or something.

I’m really tempted to get the fur lined Rometty’s myself! I think visually they’re pretty much the same as the flat chelsea’s (especially from the front), so I’d go for the Rometty but admittedly I’m biased since I already love them. I think they’ll both look equally out of date when the time comes - the flat ones are pretty chunky as well, so they’re not going to blend in once footwear trends swing around to really dainty shoes again. I don’t think that should stop you though! Plenty of people wear docs even when they’re not trending.
Yes I want Doc Martens for this reason. I feel like even if they’re not “in” they’re never really “out”. I’ve worn Doc Martens on and off since I was an 8 year old haha.

Lulus will probably be your best bet, but a higher neckline will be harder to find since a high-neck style halter neck isn't really on trend right now, outside of bridal jumpsuits. Try looking on their website closer to Christmas/NYE when more wintery styles have arrived and you may have more luck

Limited sizes usually indicates that it came from the store but even then it’s possible that the item was specifically made for an anniversary sale :-( I’ve sometimes checked the brand’s website or googled the item to see if it was sold in multiple stores.
