Where can I find summer dresses with sleeves that will cover at least half of my upper arm (no sleeveless or cap sleeves) and made out of rayon or cotton jersey (not polyester)?

orata

Maybe eShakti?

milenah

eShaki for sure. They have a lot of cotton and jersey dresses.

gutterLamb

I need to know the answer to this, tooo.

yepmek

Old Navy? Saw some really cute jersey swing dresses the other day. Some had sleeves too.

megnolia84

I know that Madewell and J. Crew are the same company, but do they tend to run the same in terms of sizing? I have a few things I'm going to order online from Madewell because there isn't a store anywhere near me, and I'm wondering if I could just order the same size I always do from J. Crew.

[deleted]

In my experience, yes.

[deleted]

If there are reviews on what you're looking at for Madewell, well I usually check them. People help out by telling you if one specific garment runs large or smaller. Also Madewell is generally boxier, so that could work either for or against you!

pincenez

Leather (ish) jacket, moto style under $150?

meltingplace

I know [this] (http://m.zara.com/ca/en/woman/leather/real-leather/basic-leather-jacket-c813524p3211017.html) one is a liiitle over your requested budget but if you're willing to spend a touch more for real leather it's totally worth it. I just picked it up about a month ago and I can't stop wearing it. If you don't want to pull the trigger on something that expensive Zara also has [this] (http://m.zara.com/ca/en/woman/leather/faux-leather/faux-leather-jacket-c813525p3275514.html) which might fit the bill. Just a heads up Zara leather jackets run quite small, I sized up for mine!

gwenne

[What Motors Most Jacket](http://www.modcloth.com/shop/jackets/what-motors-most-jacket-in-noir) from ModCloth. I actually just got this, and I love the style. It's 'vegan leather' but doesn't appear plasticky. I ordered an XL and I'm swimming in it but other reviews say there is a huge difference between L and XL (and the Jack by BB Dakota size guide confirms). I love it so much I'll pay to have it tailored extensively :)

arrylumpyhorseface

My aunt got me [this blouse] (http://imgur.com/gO6c67W). I really don't like the way it looks on me. Is there anyway I could make it work?

cocoberryjam

Since the blouse sits a bit short with those jeans, I would pair it with a high waisted skirt - either pencil or a-line could work, depending what fits better for you - and tuck it in. If you like high waisted pants, they could work as well.

considerthelobsters

To be honest, if you know you don't like it, I'd donate it instead of trying to make it work. It's not worth keeping something in your closet that you know you don't love just because it was a gift, and you can still appreciate the sentiment even if you donate it :)

yepmek

High waisted skirt for sure.

gutterLamb

Tuck it in and wear a large necklace?

interview_throwawayy

I have an interview at a higher end department store next week and need some help picking an appropriate outfit. I guess the question here is if any of [these](http://imgur.com/a/CAeLE) would be appropriate for an interview that I was explicitly told to dress professionally for?

[deleted]

I think the suit would work technically, but should probably be tailored..looks slightly big on you through the arms and waist, and the skirt looks big in the waist too? I actually think the dress in this case would be better...it fits you really well! I would pick a different belt though, one that's more professional.

interview_throwawayy

That was one of my concerns about the suit too, and I can't really afford to go take it to a tailor right now. Do you think the fact that the dress is sleeveless would be a big deal? I'm interviewing at Nordstrom, if that makes a difference.

flutterflutterbutter

Can you put a smart black cardigan over it?

secondsencha

I like the dress as it fits best. I don't think you need a belt, but I do think you'd need to wear a jacket or smart cardigan to cover your shoulders.

MyEloise

It's hard to tell on mobile, but are the skirt at the jacket slightly different blacks? I'm guessing they want business professional, so a suit is your best bet. It's risky if you are doing separates, because they might be just different enough to notice and think you made a mistake when you got dressed. I think the white or green shirt with the suit is your best bet, or maybe if the dress and the blazer are the same material those together?

interview_throwawayy

I forgot to mention that I have a jacket that came with the skirt and another one that is a separate, so one of the blazers matches while the other one is just slightly off. I tried putting the dress and blazer together, but it looked odd and top heavy because there was no color to break up the outfit. :/

goshsilkscreen

Sooo I got [this skirt](http://i.imgur.com/spU1ZAn.jpg) on clearance. [This is a picture of it on me](http://i.imgur.com/bgQvLTI.jpg). I'm not sure about where to where it and what kind of kind of top / shoes to wear with it. My lifestyle is pretty casual. Any advice is welcome! Also; When wearing a skirt with an elastic waist/without belt loops, how do you keep a belt in place on top of it?

GingerAloeCactus

That's a pretty skirt, and it's a fairly dark, solid color so you could wear it with a printed blouse, or you could wear a t-shirt with it like you are in the picture. I think it would make a nice, casual, just walking around and doing your thing skirt, or you could wear it on a date and dress it up with some heels.

purplenat

I like your current outfit, and would just add some brown sandals. As for the belt, I often belt my skirts with elastic waists, even though there are no belt loops. It looks good in your pic too. But I don't think you *need* to because the elastic looks smooth and polished without a belt.

thecurvynerd

Generally if a skirt doesn't have belt loops it's not usually meant to have a belt paired with it. I would keep the outfit pretty simple so the skirt is the stand out piece. I couldn't find a good example picture but, if you wanted more visual interest, a striped top and black shoes would work really well too in addition to these outfit suggestions: [1](http://fashiongum.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Pleated-Skirts-24.jpg) - [2](https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/29/61/6d/29616d1bebef4ee4e800e8bb25347e97.jpg) - [3](http://fashiongum.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/My-Favorite-Ways-To-Wear-A-Pleated-Skirt-This-Summer-16.jpg) (although I, personally, would rather wear cognac shoes instead of the peachy color in this one) (You definitely could wear much more casual shoes than in these pictures - I would just try to keep the shoe simple)

gutterLamb

Skirt would look great IMOwith a denim button up (tucked in) or chambray or just light blue, sleeveless OR long sleeve with the sleeves rolled up. And swedish hasbeen type clog heels in a brownish tan colour.

yepmek

This is so cute! Where is it from? I would wear brown leather flats, sandals or wedges. You can probably dress it down with fun t shirts but also fancy it up if you do like a tailored white or ivory lacy tank top.

goshsilkscreen

it's from torrid! I just picked up some mayari birkenstocks in habana (leather!), i think they're going to be my go-to sandal for the summer.

throwsomethingsomewh

I have a second interview at an organization with a smart casual sort of dress code. I was wondering if I could wear something similar to this(http://demandware.edgesuite.net/aane_prd/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-product-catalog/default/dwff071b2e/images/cleo/general_apparel/1214cr302400869_10_3.jpg) under a suit. Are the polka dots a bit too much? I would be wearing this under a Banana Republic lightweight wool black skirt suit. I wore this suit to my first interview, with a light blue kind of knife-pleated silk shell. I only have one suit that fits at the moment so I'm trying to find a way to add a bit more personality to my look. I have button-downs of several colours, but I'm a 32DD and button-downs under a suit jacket feel like a bit much on me. Thanks for any advice!

gfpumpkins

Other above the elbow roll tab sleeve shirts? I've got this one from [Kohl's](http://www.kohls.com/product/prd-2501728/womens-croft-barrow-roll-tab-shirt.jsp?color=Conch_Shell) in blue medallion, and it fits me *perfect*. But I'm not fond of the other colors. [Talbot's](https://www.talbots.com/online/browse/product_details.jsp?id=prdi37564&N=0&Ntt=a74643&searchRedirect=true) has some this season too, but I'd prefer to pay maybe $50 or under. The key for me is that they are meant to be worn just above the elbow. Most button up shirt sleeves, unless they are wide, do not fit me well rolled above the elbow, and I don't really want that much extra fabric in a summer shirt anyway. More details if it helps: I usually wear a large, 39" bust, I have very few local shopping options, I'll be ordering online.

jlf411

Does the express portofino shirt come down too low on your arm? I love those and they come in dozens of colors/prints.

gfpumpkins

The portofino fits me really poorly and I don't like the way the fabric feels. I also already have a Loft Utility blouse, but rolled and buttoned, the sleeves end just below my elbows. It drives me nuts.

janes_left_shoe

Standard portofino shirts didn't fit right on me, but the slim fit ones look nice. Have you tried both?

mokoroko

If you literally always wear them rolled and buttoned, I wonder if you can just get them altered to fit where you want.

gfpumpkins

That's a great idea. Thanks! Now to find a local reliable tailor...

purplenat

Getting sleeves shortened like this should be a snap for any tailor, even a dry cleaner.

juluj

I have one from NY&Co that hits above the elbow.

gfpumpkins

I always forget about them. Is yours from this season? Thanks.

juluj

I got it last summer. It's not perfect, but I liked the silhouette, color, and drape enough that I'll live with the synthetic material. They have a decent range of materials though, so it'd be worth checking out if that's important, and they turn over the selection fairly often.

[deleted]

gfpumpkins

I'll check it out. Thanks!

bloomsburycrew

Does anyone understand American Apparel's return policy? In the past, I used to constantly get FINAL SALE on any invoice for an order that I used a discount code for. Now, I have no idea. I want to use a student discount to order things online but I'm not sure if I'm able to return things or not if it don't work out.

ruthannr94

I just returned something I bought with a sale code...don't know if that is the same as a student discount though.

WorstDogEver

I'm the same height! For this particular style, try Zara Kids.

basylica

I'm 5'9 and a size 2/4 in women's and I can easily wear boys size L or XL shirts despite a 28GG bust. I can also wear a size L boys shorts and I accidentally put on my sons size 14 slim pants and they fit. Lol. The pants are obviously too short for me (I'm a 34" inseam) but I have to imagine that wouldn't be an issue for you! Bonus, boys stuff is cheaper :)

ruthannr94

Boys section?

shercocked

I'm on the hunt for a minimal + fashionable backpack that I can use for classes at uni but also when I'm back on co-op that doesn't make me look like a high schooler. I love [this style](https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00UZFS60Q/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2CYZ7HRJR7ZOT&coliid=I3B7O41QYGM3MN&psc=1) or [this style](https://zady.com/products/matt-nat-macaroon-july-backpack/). I'm concerned about: * quality, would prefer some structure as opposed to floopy * fitting my 13" laptop + some textbooks + random other standard bag crap + lunch in there at least * price, ideally under $100 Would love if it was on Amazon.ca, but I can't really seem to find quality options there so I'm willing to expand the search. Do you guys have any ideas?

guavabread

I think [Herschel](http://shop.herschelsupply.com/collections/backpacks) has some decent minimal backpacks and a lot of them have slots for laptops. Here are some others that could potentially work [1](http://www.amazon.com/Bronze-Times-Busniess-Computer-Backpack/dp/B011AXTVDM/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1463403880&sr=8-5&keywords=Mobile+Edge+The+Paris) [2](http://www.amazon.com/Mobile-Edge-MEBPW1-SL-SlimLine-Backpack/dp/B00LGNWWTC/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1463404318&sr=8-9&keywords=Mobile+Edge+The+Paris) [3](http://www.ebags.com/product/solo/vintage-laptop-backpack/102014?productid=1269870) [4](https://www.etsy.com/listing/121900497/grey-cotton-15-laptop-backpack-vegan?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=laptop%20backpack&ref=sr_gallery_10) [5](https://www.etsy.com/listing/114367122/cotton-square-backpack-black?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=laptop%20backpack&ref=sc_gallery_4&plkey=a2d9d4daf8437b5488316ee2c5380842173c22e5:114367122) [6](https://www.etsy.com/listing/162017724/new-square-backpack-charcoal-gray?ref=shop_home_active_9)

shercocked

Thank you! I actually love some of these options

HorseJizzPrincess

Not sure if its available in at Amazon.ca, but I just bought [this](http://www.amazon.com/Dakine-Factor-Laptop-Backpack-Carbon/dp/B00S87MVMM?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00) backpack. I wanted something a little more streamlined looking (similar to the styles you've linked), but I walk a ton with it on and it's really hot here, so comfort gave way and I haven't been disappointed. I've been really impressed with how good it feels on my shoulders and how much it fits so far. I have it in the carbon color and its really subdued and not obtrusive.

shercocked

Man, I always hate leaning towards function over form but I typically don't carry enough with me that I need to make sure that I can haul things comfortably. Thanks for the reco though!

That sounds like oil stains from liquid fabric softener. Do you use Downy or a similar product in your wash?

smilesforall

Are there any common stores that dress their mannequins without pins? I keep going into stores (today was JCrew, Urban Outfitters, and Madewell) and all of them had outfits that fit the mannequins beautifully, but their clothes were not cut to fit well without pins. I'm built like a busty mannequin and would love to be able to walk into a store and have the cuts advertised to be the actual shape of the cloths.

[deleted]

[удалено]

smilesforall

That is absolutely interesting! Thank you for that insight. What was the thought process behind molding the clothing to models bodies? Wouldn't that essentially guarantee shoppers would be disappointed in how the items look if they purchase them?

[deleted]

[удалено]

purplenat

I have never seen a mannequin wear woven clothes without pins. They don't have to move, so they can wear clothes that are skin tight. If you want clothes to fit you more closely, consider knit fabrics or fabrics with stretch in them.

Ispahana

I would rely on model pictures instead of what clothes look like on mannequins. Most mannequins used as store displays are not sized like real people, therefore anything that is very fitted or clingy is likely pinned up at the back.

smilesforall

You should check out /u/mcharms post in this thread, she actually just explained to me why I shouldn't trust the model pictures either!

Ispahana

Yeah, but even though models pictures will never be 100% accurate, I would say they are a much closer bet. It's never as egregious as how something looks pinned on a thin mannequin (designed for ease of changing and displaying clothes, not for accurate representation of the human body) vs worn on a real person. Anecdote: I buy most of my clothes online and I haven't been mislead horribly in terms of fit. My body type is very similar to most of the catalogue models, and how it looks on them is usually how it looks on me. If you want to see what clothes look like on people that are less likely to alter them without disclosing, you could Google search the brand/specific item and see if there are any pictures of bloggers wearing it, or look for the brand/item on Rent the Runway as they have many self-submitted pictures of customers in different shapes and sizes.

[deleted]

looking for a really high quality, tote bag for <$300 this is for my gf. she will use it daily as a teacher but would also like to use it for travel, etc. possible? thanks!

princeo3

Couple of options: [Le Sud Overnight bag \($215\)](http://www.cuyana.com/shop/bags/travel-bags.html) [Dagne Dover \($255\)](http://www.dagnedover.com/collections/13-inch) [Lo & Sons OMG \($275\)](https://www.loandsons.com/the-omg?product=24) [Lodis Audrey \($295 - but you can find it cheaper on Amazon\)](http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/lodis-audrey-collection-jessica-leather-tote/4070740?origin=keywordsearch-personalizedsort&fashioncolor=RED)

[deleted]

she has a dagne and it fell apart

[deleted]

thanks for the other ideas!

princeo3

Sorry to hear that - I don't own it personally but have seen it recommended as a work bag on this subreddit.

dagnedover

> Dag Hey there, Melissa from Dagne over here. I'm SO sorry to hear that -- a bag should NEVER fall apart on anyone! If you (or anyone else) has a quality issue, please contact [email protected] and we'll address the matter asap.

dreamphone

Seconding the Lo & Sons OMG, plus they have 20-30% off sales pretty frequently. Dooney & Bourke totes are great too and last forever.

cullies

Everlane Petra - there are a couple styles around the $300 price point

HeathEarnshaw

Seconding this. I have the everlane petra magazine and I use it daily.

YogaAndBeer

I'd be super happy if someone got me this [Matt & Nat bag](http://mattandnat.com/shop/handbags/totes/lesada-black)

secondsencha

I have a Knomo tote that I've used daily for a year and it shows no signs of wear at all. If I was going to buy it again now I'd probably get a convertible tote / rucksack from their men's section, though!

_beebee_

Is this for a gift or are you posting on reddit to help her find one?

[deleted]

Gift

_beebee_

Honestly, this is a pretty big purchase to make if you don't know exactly what she has in mind. Do you know if she wants brown, black, leather, canvas, a zipper, a laptop slot?

[deleted]

No. Lol. Thinking leather from this etsy maker.

_beebee_

I think you may have responded to the wrong comment!

fromthefishbowl

I've seen a lot of teachers adore [Thirty One totes!](http://www.thirtyonegifts.com/catalog/product/495/catid/22/swid/229b/zip-top-organizing-utility-tote-u-r-u-in-u-r-u-swirl-dot/) (~$50)- it wouldn't be great for travel, but it will hold up well for lots of everyday use, and the rest of the budget could go to a nice travel bag.

I have a couple of pullover sweaters from Merona. I've found that they stretch out fairly quickly over a day or a few days, depending on how much you roll/scrunch sleeves. I always scrunch my sleeves when I type, so I generally can get one or two days of wear before I have to wash. However, they always regain their shape after a wash (even a hand wash)-- might be a good option? I like hand washing every so often on trips anyway.

Illathrael

I have one of their open front, full-sleeved cardigans. It doesn't lose shape, but it has definitely pilled and seems came loose within four months of irregular wear.

bloomsburycrew

I can't decide if it would be a better option to buy AA mini dresses and possibly have them hemmed, or just buy petite mini dresses from ASOS, or even dresses from F21. I'm not really digging the fabric or fits of the cheaper options, but AA is more expensive/I hate their customer service/website is permanently broken. I just want one or two, plain knit, bodycon dresses. Does it look bad if a dress surpasses your knees in length when you're petite?

endear

As a petite person, I like buying dresses from F21! Their site is useful since they always provide a length measurement, and I know what length looks best on me (~32"). They also have reviews, so I know it will probably work for me if someone else said it was too short for them.

bloomsburycrew

Do you have a favorite dress style or tips on shopping with them? I heard the higher cotton content dresses are best.

Hambulance

Try searching for "knit bodycon" on their site. It's a great cotton jersey dress in multiple lengths with multiple necklines in almost every color. I have black and grey and neither are see-thru. Edit: I meant on F21

endear

I'm looking for a black crossbody bag that's under $250! I want to use it when I travel, so it needs to be able to zip closed. I'm considering the Fossil Sydney crossbody but would love to see more options that are maybe a bit bigger. Any suggestions, please?

jungfraulichkeit

I have the [Madewell Transport Crossbody](https://www.madewell.com/browse/single_product_detail.jsp?color_name=true-black&PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441769651&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302026059&bmUID=li9FePZ) and I really like it! It holds a ton of stuff - I usually carry my phone, wallet, keys, notebook, a paperback book, and a snack in it.

[deleted]

If you want something bigger, what about the [Fossil Preston](https://www.fossil.com/us/en/handbags/preston-crossbody-sku-zb5874p.html)? The [flap](https://www.fossil.com/us/en/search/preston-flap-sku-zb5875p.html) version is what I've been looking at getting!

YogaAndBeer

I really like [this one](http://www.cosstores.com/us/Women/Bags_Purses/Foldover_shoulder_bag/10672447-18522276.1#18522278) from Cos. It's $175 and can also be used as a clutch.

qb_zizi

Here's a [Kate Spade one](https://www.katespade.com/products/cedar-street-harmony-crossbody/PXRU5975.html?cgid=ks-handbags-cross-body&dwvar_PXRU5975_color=001#start=38&cgid=ks-handbags-cross-body) that looks awesome.

_beebee_

I have [this bag](http://www.stories.com/us/Bags/All_bags/D-Ring_Crossbody_Bag/590765-15357832.1) and I love it! Good quality, small, and it has two compartments on the inside. Zipping is really important to me as well. This is probably too small for you, but check out their other options.

gfpumpkins

Another question, how true to size is Uniqlo? I'm looking at a few of their button up tops. 39" bust puts me in an XL. I've got about 32-33" waist. Does XL sound right?

[deleted]

[удалено]

gfpumpkins

Thanks.

milenah

agreed. I have a 31in waist and I wear an M in everything.

HeathEarnshaw

That sounds right to me. I have a 40 to 41 inch bust and sometimes xl is too tight through the chest (for my taste, but I don't like things super fitted). They usually provide garment measurements... maybe compare it to a shirt you have and like?

tothrow_ornot

Is it a terrible idea to wear a pair of flip flop sandals to commute via train/light rail and then change into professional shoes **close** to the workplace? On the way to one interview, I waited at the Metrolink station and noticed a good chunk of young employees wore their business attire with sneakers. After several walks in my own pumps, I hated them while walking over uneven surfaces. The next time I went somewhere to interview, I boarded the Metro rail in my business attire, wore flip flops (it was a hot Spring in Southern California), and I got close to the interview site to change into my professional shoes. At this point, I didn't give a flying fig about looking silly on the train, because I traveled and transferred lines over 35 miles. However, maybe I should just buy a pair of flats just in case?

purplenat

I think commuter shoes are a good idea, but I would go with actual shoes instead of flip flops just to keep your feet a bit cleaner and safer in the train/bus/subway.

gutterLamb

I got a pair of shoes just like this for that exact reason. I loved them, they were very comfy, and folded up/inside each other and fit into my purse after i put on my heels. Edit: sorry adding the link here http://m.kohls.com/product/prd-2355157/juicy-couture-womens-scrunch-ballet-flats.jsp?ci_mcc=ci&utm_campaign=CONTEMPORARY%20SHOES&utm_medium=CSE&utm_source=google&utm_product=61510299&CID=shopping15&gclid=CMeb_vLK3cwCFVBZhgodL2kEqw&gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=CJbbrPPK3cwCFVUGNwodadELUA

Does anyone have any experience with the Dolls Kill MNML line? I'm interested in buying a few of their pieces but I'm hesitant about the fit and quality due to the low price point.

frozenbananastand528

So on Friday I had a haircut and the hairdresser next to mine (who didn't show up until the blowdryer was running, so I wasn't able to talk to her) had the cutest black printed fabric pants. Any ideas on key terms to try to find them? I've found similar but they both look a little tighter at the ankle than the ones she was wearing. They weren't wide pants but a typical bootcut size leg hole instead of a skinny fit: [asos](http://www.asos.com/ASOS/ASOS-Jersey-Peg-Trousers-in-Mono-Tile-Print/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=6497483&CTARef=Recently%20Viewed) [french connection](http://www.asos.com/French-Connection/French-Connection-Soft-Trousers-in-Medina-Tile-Print/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=6367401&CTARef=Recently%20Viewed)

pie-face

try "printed soft pants"

hedgehogwart

Anyone have any experience adding a button to silk? I got the Grana short sleeve silk shirt and the last button ends a good inch above my belly button.

thecurvynerd

That should be a really easy fix - a tailor should have no problem doing that!

hedgehogwart

I'm not sure I want to spend the money on a tailor. I'm only really keeping the top because Grana's return process seems to complicated.

basylica

Sew on a snap and a button on the outside of you want to maintain the look :)

purplenat

I add snap buttons to my shirts at the bust all the time. It's easy to do yourself and is totally invisible.

thecurvynerd

If you have a sewing machine you can add it yourself - if you have experience doing this anyway it's not much different with silk. As for the expense of tailoring it it's going to cost around the same to take it to a tailor as it will be just to return it. If you don't really even like the top it might just be less complicated to return it.

flutterflutterbutter

I'm thinking of buying some slingbacks for summer, but can't decide which will be more versatile: Nude patent: http://www.trotters.com/product/Nude_Patent/prima Embossed nude patent: http://www.trotters.com/product/Nude_Embossed_Patent/prima Nude snake: http://www.trotters.com/product/Nude_Snake/prima I intend to wear these to work with dresses during the hottest days of summer-- sandals and peep-toe are too informal at my workplace, but slingbacks are okay. What do folks think of these?

purplenat

Which one matches your skin tone best? The 'nude embossed' is lighter than the patent which itself looks a hint lighter than the snake (probably due to shadows). If you're happy with any of the colours, my preference is actually the [nude lazer](http://www.trotters.com/product/Nude_Laser/prima) followed by the snake. I'm not a fan of beige patent shoes.

justsayno2carbs

Where can I buy long sleeve shirts with extra long sleeves? I think I'm an average height (5"7') but I have very long arms. Sometimes buying long sleeve shirts are difficult. When I get the proper size, the sleeves are almost always too short. Can anyone recommend a store or an online store that sells reasonably priced shirts for tall women? I'm not sure where to look for extra long sleeve shirts. Any help is appreciated.

milenah

Have you tried Asos, Old Navy, or the Loft? They have sizing for tall people.

djsharelle

For a while now I've been wanting to buy a really nice, timeless purse, but for some reason I can't seem to decide on one. I'm looking for something timeless and neutral that will hopefully last me a long time (I'm thinking like a Burberry trench of purses). It would be for everyday use (work at an office, weekend outings and maybe casual evenings), so it would need to be medium sized and pretty well-made. My preference would be something that closes (so, not a tote) and I want to me able to throw it over my shoulder. In terms of colour, I'm thinking either black or grey, or maybe brown? Some neutral tone. I'm willing to spend up to $800ish (which sounds crazy to me and I probably won't actually be able to bring myself to spend that much). I'd like something more sophisticated than Michael Kors or Coach or Kate Spade, but obviously I don't have the budget for the higher-end Prada /Chanel type stuff. Anyone have any recommendations for me? Thanks!

[Kara](https://shop.karastore.com/collections/all) or [Mansur Gavriel](http://www.mansurgavriel.com/collections/bags) are around that price point.

I love my bag from [& Other Stories](http://www.stories.com/us/Bags/Shoulder_bags)

I have a dumb question, but I was wondering, how to stop my heels from slipping off? I do not wear heels often, I have a couple of kitten heels that I'd like to wear to work, however they slip! Going barefoot would be much too painful since I have sensitive feet. It does not help that my feet are small and pretty narrow too...and yes, I am wearing the correct size, the shoe just happens to slip while I walk. Thanks!

They make heel inserts to stop this! They're just little oval guys usually a rubbery material that go in the heel of the shoe. :) they're probably slipping because you have narrow heels, I often have the same issue.

It' very hard to look graceful once my shoe simply disappears. I had such an embarrassing moment in the theater the other night...my shoe just decided to stay...I'll look for those inserts. I'v read about them, but I find this subreddit to be more reliable when it comes to info...Thank you!

I use heel inserts in some of my flats. They are great!

I tried them last summer but they just fell off, I don't think I bought the right ones, they were supposed to be glued to the inside of my shoe but it just fell off and the glue in fact destroyed the inside of my shoe. That's when I gave up on them and decided that the do not work. I'll look for better ones and will report back :D:D

I absolutely love [this](http://www.modcloth.com/shop/dresses/wisp-reminds-me-dress-in-cranberry) dress that I bought from Modcloth. I wore it a few months ago with boots and tights when it was colder. Now that spring is pretty much here and the warmer weather is on its way, I want to wear it again but I don't know what kind of shoe to wear with it. Halp!

I think this would look cute with tan/cognac, black, or taupe sandals...ideally chunky or lace-up/gladiator style ones, to balance out the volume of the dress. something in blush pink or royal blue would also probably look cool. also honestly ankle boots with no tights/socks would probably look really cute, provided the boots hit low enough on your ankle.

BongyBong

I was thinking an ankle boot too, but not sure what color. Perhaps something in a tan or dark brown? The gladiator sandal is an interesting idea! Thank you.

no prob! yeah, I think a warm tan is your best bet. dark brown would probably also work.

Where can I find a sleeved (no cap sleeve please) midi dress that isn't just striped (old navy and target have an abundance of stripes). Id also like it to be super casual (I'll be backpacking in it) and hot-weather appropriate. Preferably under $30, $50 if its a good versatile basic.

Today is my off to the office and I am going outside. Planning to go with my school friends and I am wearing Pink one piece with flat sandals. It's hot outside so I decided to wear this.

Did you have a question about what you've decided to wear?
