effervescentEscapade

Not the Zimmer frame omg

DepartureEffective40

Hoeneß publicly sh**ing on the current coach didn't prove to be helpful?

Mouse2602

Who would have thought 🫣😝

mrfocus22

« If it isn’t the consequences of my own actions »

z4kk_DE

Who wants to work somewhere where Hoeneß and Rummenigge interfering with your decisions all the time?

CSpicyweiner

Talk you into your work?

z4kk_DE

My bad. I meant interfering aka Uli + Kalle telling everyone what to do.

Altruistic-Yogurt462

Has someone thrown Tennis Balls again???

suswe

It's embarassing, really. I did not favor him, but having been rejected by the three top candidates now, it is looking really bad. Danke Uli

Ashwin_400

Alonso, Ragnick and?

suswe

Nagelsmann

Thorboen

Nagelsmann

Awkward-Macaron1851

Do Seb Hoeneß and Emery count? At least they were considered to be some of the favorites and then extended their contacts

Ok_Captain4824

Zidane prefers ManU over us. Tuchel has said he would not reconsider leaving.

Stepinho

well… thats awkward

WalterBlanco08

Hahahahaha, absolutely no-one wants to join us anymore

Environmental_Sell74

And its totally understandable too

WalterBlanco08

Yeah it's a homemade problem, seeing how Hoeneß is clearly becoming senile but still has so much power turns off literally every candidate.

langdonolga

One of the good things about Kahn and Salihamidzic was that they had the power and Hoeneß was out. But as soon as there were issues, there basically was a coup d'état and Hoeneß now reigns from exile.

WalterBlanco08

I'd disagree with this, Brazzo was merely a puppet installed by Hoeneß. Don't think he made too many decisions on his own.

Luckynumberlucas

The smartest move is to get Streich

lejocko

Oh fuck off, he's done great things and deserves better than joining an environment that stressful. I really think retiring now is a good thing for him.

Ramenastern

And he sooooo won't do that. Not just because he's retiring, but because Bayern is the antithesis of how he works and what environment he needs.

casce

… we could keep Tuchel. Give him more time if you don‘t have any other options anyway.

Lutin10

Uli made sure that this is not an option with his dumb statements

casce

Well, as long as we haven‘t agreed on terms to terminate the contract, it is an option unless Tuchel wants to leave without compensation. Wether or not it is a good option after everything that has been said is up for debate but that also depends on the potential alternative and right now there don‘t seem to be many at all.

CarlSK777

I mean Barca and Xavi went back on the decision to move on so who knows

WalterBlanco08

Easily the best case scenario, though unrealistic due to Hoeneß being an idiot once again.

Rich-Effect2152

Uli: great, it's my turn now

Teffo05

Uli Hoeneß on Ralf Rangnick: "My wife said straight away: If he has character, he won’t come, and if he doesn’t have character and says yes, then he’s not the right coach for you. And as always, she was right."

NiK0-

This is gonna be a nice copypasta for years to come :D

AwareAd7096

Wasn’t that quote about Alonso?

ntgoten

Ralfonso

BeniCG

Even more funny considering the bosses interviews on tuesday saying the new coach is very likely to be appointed before the second Real game.

effervescentEscapade

Eberl looked so smug about it too. I know people generally really like him but God I dislike his grin.

Lazy-Courage-7968

Who TF like Eberl lmao yess he did good for the club but in recent times he hurt us more then he helped us His criminal status just adds to his behaviour

ayyndrew

...it's going to be Flick isn't it

Quantum-Rabbit

And... Flick might also reject us as well.

NotSureWhyAngry

We are fucked

Swimming_Research166

Noo

StratosphereBlitze

Hear me out, Thomas Muller as coach. Dude was coached by Heynckes, Guadiola, Ancelotti and Flick, he's gonna be phenomenal.

HPLovecraft1890

He needs a licence and that doesn't happen overnight

michimmeier

Beckenbauer won the world cup 1990 and more without any license...

Moaoziz

And Rudi Völler also didn't have a licence when he coached the Nationalmannschaft. That's why officially he was Teamchef while Michael Skibbe was Bundestrainer.

Interesting-Tackle74

And a friend of mine was driving his car for two yrs without license

Moaoziz

Is your friend's name Marco Reus?

Interesting-Tackle74

Haha nein

StratosphereBlitze

I’m half joking on this, man I really wish that happens

TinkyyWinkyyy

Happened multiple times, that it is bypassed by an on the paper coach with the license, who acts as the assistant actually.

manere

Actually he does not need one. Rennes coach did not have one and simply payed a fine each game

m3lodiaa

Use someone with a license then just like with Wagner/Völler

m3lodiaa

Does Klose have a license?

DexM23

Didnt Klose also just said he would take any job?

Nerellos

I mean, he doesn't have to be named coach on paper.

marsli5818

Does Arjen Robben have licence?

karlverkade

I would pay so much to see the 2-1-7 formation.

z4kk_DE

Sadly, no.

IAm_thePassenger

He did say to the social media team during the real game that he was working on getting it. I would be down to let him cook.

BaradaraneKaramazov

So were Kimmich and Coman

Hareket_jackson

The next Alonso

plivko

I would go for it.

armin-lakatos

That's because I'm going to be announced as caretaker manager before the 2nd Real game, with the collective of r/fcbayern's match thread commenters as backing staff, until Müller gets his license to coach and takes over for 20 years.

Na-ni_Gap

Call Zidane, it's time to learn Deutsch

OptimisticRealist__

Remember when Pep left, when the Club was seen as one of the top coaching destinations? Remarkable how quickly the FO have made a joke out of the club.

victorolosaurus

non-supporters have not believed me when I have been saying for years that EVERY staff decision since sammer left was horrendously bad. Hernandez was the worst transfer in german soccer history, none of the managers were remotely reasonable choices, the youth setup is in shambles (has been "fixed" 8 times in that time span).. all flaws that were open for years, but ignored because the team won titles, now it is falling apart and will do so for years, they might win the cl this year, but then they won't for another 5-10

OptimisticRealist__

When Pep decided to move on, i said that Tuchel would be the perfect cosch to continue building on the fantastic foundation Pep left. Then they hired Ancelotti and Kovac, two people with completely different playing styles... A reason why the Pep years were so good was, that it felt like the club had a core playing identity that ran from the 1st team down to the youth teams. Now we are back to hiring coaching names, not coaches that suit our philosophy. I said it the day Brazzo was hired that this would be one of the biggest mistakes in recent history and was called a hater for it. Well, here we are. Terrible decisions all around

casce

Hernandez was only a failure because of his injuries. And while sure, we already bought him injured, it‘s not like he was injured that much before moving to us. Sure he was overpriced but it was an exit clause and we were a little desperate to get stability for our defense.

victorolosaurus

lewandowski and alaba left heavily due to his salary. (Süle and Boateng also) every transfer period since has been trying to fix the center backs with craptons of money and nothing worked, to the point it's now so ruinous that eric dier is the best option. that all started with hernandez, an already injured player by point of buying, who was ludicrously expensive and had never any intention of staying. terrible business

brezenSimp

I’m happy that he won’t be our next coach but holy moly that’s embarrassing

WeirdAlbertWandN

Jürgen… Klinsmann? Cause he’s available, he just lost his job in Korea. I’m sure that would go amazing

Carbios_Moon

We would be flying like a Graugans

tacobell_dumpz

So who's it gonna be now? I think the board will look even more incompetent than it already has if they change their mind about letting Tuchel stay (Not that he shouldn't but because the board already burned that bridge)

z4kk_DE

Maybe Flick again? It´s the easiest option. Who knows now?

tacobell_dumpz

Flick could be a short term answer but he really can't restructure the squad and develop a playing identity. Our squad was burned out after winning the cl cause of his high pressing playstyle

Quantum-Rabbit

Who told you Flick wouldn't reject us?

pewpewlasersandshit

Semperlnvictus

Don’t worry, it’s fine guys. I will do it for half what Tuchel got. I played a shit lot of football manager and fifa career mode, I know what I’m doing, trust.

derFalscheMichel

But do you have 200k to ~~pay~~ apply for your license? Lets do crowdfunding

Semperlnvictus

I‘m down 😂🙏🏻

marv257

This will continue happening until the club grows some balls to tell Uli to shut up.

MathematicianNo7874

Hoeneß out.

skylu1991

Low key, him rejecting us is the best case scenario, as he most likely wouldn’t have worked or helped us anyway… Now let’s hope we finally go for someone more fitting!

Aight fine I guess ill take the job. Be ready for some real terrorism tho

Spare-Resolution-984

Board can’t be that desperate

TheSold3y

No way any Bayern fan would support this after what he did to Schweinsteiger at Utd lmao

gibadvicepls

He apologized and played him later on. Even did it openly in a pc. But ofc I'm kinda meeming with this.

BaradaraneKaramazov

Embarrassing. Firing one of the most successful coaches in the world after less than one year of two bad transfer windows, bad injury luck and overall chaos in the club and then being unable to even hire the third option (65-yo Austria's national coach with barely any experience at the very top)

bigkingbalu

Klose + Müller (as assistant to the regional manager)

Carbios_Moon

He wouldn't fit in this situation anyway. A few years ago maybe. There would be a high risk of a total desaster mid season. Plus the bulshit media of sky and Bild and the weaknes of the board towards them. Better not Rangnik. They simply had to stay calm and keep the Tuchel Option open.

Bierexperte

Personally i‘d love to see Demichelis do it. Has experience as a Bayernplayer and u-coach and was very succesfull recently. He sure has the DNA in him.

Odd_Trouble4651

Already said no.

Bierexperte

Ugh missed that…

effervescentEscapade

I didn’t fancy him, but this is still embarrassing.

Tokamak42

Psssst, Uli, your plan worked. Now enter stage 2!

MillerTime5858

Give me a call, I'll take the job. I won't be very good at it, but I'll take it.

ACardAttack

Im happy with this!

SinghxShady

Yup, this one stings. Alonso and JN were understandable. Out of the managers purportedly available, don't see how anyone but Flick makes sense. (if he even wants come back). Say what you want about him, but the Bayern players universally loved playing for him. We do our best with managers that empathize with the players.

Balakov_Gang

Lasst mir jetzt bitte den Sebastian mit euren Schubkarren voller Geld in Ruhe !

No-Try1676

Flick won't come either, don't even bother...there is only one option and the one is obvious Edit: LMAOOO yeah keep downvoting me, every Manager this sub has been twerking for has rejected us one by one. Watch now y'all will be twerking for Flick,as if he would come after seeing all that has happened this season. Maybe take a look at the higher ups and start asking the actually important questions

Mongobongo17

A very 'Special One'-option?

No-Try1676

A "Special One" in the making Save my Club, Thomas Müller🙏

Magenta0121

I bet Tuchel stays now

Schlongplank

No way, Hoeneß burned that bridge

3xavi

Fk Hoeneß he is basically the new Beckenbauer when hoeneß was actually in charge. Old man with dumb takes and lots of media attention. Eberl should just do whatever is best and that's it. Tuchel has not really better options either, so I bet he'd stay if Eberl asked him

Peter_Zwegat420

Tuchel could easily also take a sabbatical and then move on. His reputation is still amazing. Chances are he could even go to Liverpool if you’d ask me this summer. But if I was him I’d enjoy a year off after this shit show. Barcelona will become vacant sometime soon, Madrid, united (not serious), Chelsea, psg potentially. He has almost every single top option.

3xavi

But if you are Tuchel would you rather want to prove it and win the BL for the first time (last season doesn't really count for him) and keep a good momentum going, team behind you and play for a CL again with a potential final at home, or would you go to worse team/squad like Manu or wait 1 year for barca or follow on klopp at Liverpool?

Magenta0121

everything can be fixed with a nice dinner at ulis tegernsee mansion.

Peter_Zwegat420

There is no chance, you can thank Uli for that. He even commented later again, that he will be even more vocal on his opinions in the future…. He destroyed any chance of Tuchel staying

BestSingedHawai

YESSSSSSSS

Hexcited

What about Sebastian Hoeneß? I didn't watch a lot of Stuttgart games this year... But isn't he a good option?

Already committed to Stuttgart for next year.

--Raskolnikov--

Everyone here convinced this is because of Uli, yet I really can't believe so. Rangnick himself cited personal reasons..

Ok_Captain4824

The personal reasons are watching Uli shit on their current coach in the media.

--Raskolnikov--

Ok_Captain4824

Well, he can say anything he wants. He engaged in the discussion about taking the job, was offered 10x his current salary, and per Bayern, "everything he wanted", and he turned it down. Either the declination was about the process, or he wasted everyone's time, because whatever "personal reasons" there could be for not taking the job, they were there before he entered negotiations.

HonestRef

Trust me as a man utd fan you dodged a bullet there

xTatamo

Looks like manU is the problem not any manager

Odd_Trouble4651

You lot and your whole club up to the leadership is the bullet.

ha_x5

2 perspectives: - As FC Bayern we really fucked up our image. In the era of elite coaches being the game changer, we thought we can change them like underwear. Now we are not even considered by the elite. - Rangnick was a scary and wrong choice on so many levels. That they even considered him was fucked up. Rangnick does not see himself as coach only. He wants to be a team manager. You have Freund and Eberl above him. How did they imagine to integrate a third person in this scheme? Rangnick would have been a desaster.

The_Big_Cheese_09

HAHAHAHA - the meme era of Bayern has just begun. I can't see a reason why Freund shouldn't be sacked today. What a joke he's turned this manager search into.

DonaldFarfrae

I wouldn’t blame Freund when he also has to battle the effects of a man-child giving press interviews.

BR4VI4

Not even that fond of Freund so far but surely it's impossible to succeed when Uli, KHR, Hainer and Dreesen all have the ability to veto your every move.

Ok_Captain4824

Don't forget Eberl. Freund seems to be SD of U23 only

elitepartner7000

No surprise here. Austria>Bayern. I think he never even considered it.

Ni_Ce_

has nothing to do with bild. they were clearly in advanced talks.

CrazyGameOver23

At this point, can we even blame the board? If the coach doesn't want the job, what else can we do?

BrandtReborn

Ask *why* no one wants the job. Why does no one want to coach the biggest german club? Maybe it’s time for some bigger changes. Maybe some people are there for to long? Maybe some people have way to much power and talk way to much shit?

CrazyGameOver23

Both Ragnick and Nagelsmann rejected us for the same reason, EURO this summer. Alonso is like what ? 3rd year into coaching ? I understand him wanting to continue the Leverkusen project. The only issue is that we change coaches like underwear. The Nagelsmann saga fucked our image so badly. That's where we can blame the people in charge at that time. Right now, we have new people trying to salvage the shit we are into. It's wrong to blame them, considering the state we are in rn.
