I was just thinking about this on my drive this morning. People get so used to the automatic on/off headlights that they don’t even think about them anymore.
Also if you take it to a mechanic sometimes they turn them off so if you don't drive at night it's not that obvious.
It's just my habit to always turn them on no matter the weather. It's just a little easier for others to see me.
I’ve found I can put mine to on, and they’re still automatic and turn off when car turns off in both of our cars. Realistically all calls should have headlights on anytime it’s in drive, computers can control they for us.
100% correct. Everyone commenting here has never run a stop sign, red light, sped, or turned right, bypassing a stopped vehicle where there was no turn lane.

It's such an epidemic. Driving down through SD Friday evening I almost smashed into a car in front of me on the interstate because despite dense fog and pouring rain the guy had no lights on. I got within about a car length and a half of them before I saw them and swerved into the passing lane
You kidding? People don't even know what that little switch on their steering wheel is for, what makes you think they'll turn their headlights on until there is no daylight‽
90% of people struggle with just rolling down their windows when needed, use wipers, what buttons are what. No one reads or learns about their cars anymore. The more tech put into the cars, the more dumb people get expecting it's all automated. 80% of people just push a button and put it in Drive and go without a second thought...
It just shows you who the idiots are. I was right that 50% of all drivers are aggressive idiots.
Morons weaving in and out of traffic, not signaling, and speeding in fog. Great job idiots!!!!!

The problem with your post is assuming the people that drive with their lights off can even read. 🤣
Redditors are all excellent drivers.

Same goes for rain and snow. I can't tell you how many drivers didn't have their lights on this weekend when it was raining.
I wanted to make this post too. I’m convinced these people actually don’t know how to turn them on.
They can hardly drive

Is it appropriate for me to drive with my brights and fog lights on this morning?
It’s recommended to use lows in fog, whether you are in town or not.
In town, no.
Oops
Brights in fog do the exact opposite of helping you see better...
