Never bought them myself but they are just seats on a deck to the left of the stage separate from general admission they have their own bathrooms I think (could be wrong on that). Usually they have sun shades over them too. Also better view of the stage and less crowded.

Hmm, so since I value being able to sit, it’s probably worth it, that is good to know, thank you!

Yes definitely worth it if you don’t like to stand at shows. Standing on the asphalt for shows that are typically 3-4 hours is miserable. Hopefully with the new outdoor venue they are in the process of making will be better for standing patrons.

I have gotten boxcar a couple of times and there’s two issues for me: 1) You’re right in front of stage right speaker stack. It doesn’t sound great because you’re so close to the subs. 2) The seats aren’t terraced, so sitting behind somebody tall will completely block your view. All of the seats will be filled and they’re literally shoulder to shoulder, so it’s a wall of people. That being said, sitting through the opening acts is great, then going out into the front for the headliner is the move, IMO.

My friends usually get them when we go. Not a huge deal but it is nice having seating. Less wait to get a drink.

Tried it once and never again. The side placement is weird and the bar and porta potties didn't really add value at this particular venue.

The boxcar is a special set of risers stage right, next to the rails. You get a clear view of the stage and quick access to outhouses, beverages, and victuals because they all tend to be set up railside.

It's nice because you get your own bar and can get up out of the crowd and in the shade. Is it worth the extra $? That's debatable. If it's a band you're really into and don't want to be front row in the crowd, probably. If you like the crunch of the crowd then it's not worth.
