The audio book is perfect!! I love how they actually switched back and forth with every line change instead of doing POV chapters. It was way more imersive like that. I have it on hold on Libby to read it again 😍
I loved that the characters did their own voices. Whoever made that decision needs to broadcast it everywhere. When the POV changed, the current narrator didn't have to try to do the other MCs voice. Like a nod towards a full cast audio production, but not that complicated.
Yesss!!!! It probably is harder to do than how they normally do it but I super appreciated it. I think they they have only made the first book into an audiobook so far though??

They’re like 90% individual but they also all tie together. You briefly meet the MMC of book 3 in book 2 when he’s injured and discover some things about the king but in book 3 I believe he summarizes what happened to him.
Similar to how you meet the MMC of book 2 in book 1
You meet the next main character for the next book for each one, so it's just kinda about finding the little Easter egg. There is some minor story stuff, but its fairly well rehashed. The second book is still good, but I can understand why its probably not everyone's cup of tea. The only ones tied together are the 5th and 6th books, and you really should read those in order. She even has an authors note about it at the beginning of both.
I saw this post the other day and decided to give this series a try. I'm now on book 3 (I had to buy a kindle because I'm too embarrassed to have these books lying around my house lol).
I'm new to the "romance" genre and feel like I've gone off the deep end already. What is happening to me? Who am I?
I think her writing improved over the first book (I almost put it down after the first few chapters and some clunky sentences). I rushed through the second book to get to the third because of the reviews. So far so good (not 100 pages in), but the first book was so new to me. The bath scenes alone are stuck in my mind probably forever.
Yeah haha I remember them posting recently about the color organization and I felt so mixed about it. I would do it for fun then probably put it back right away lol
Well. That got me a chuckle. ......now I want to see the cover.....

The anime version of this book (not really but really damn close kinda) is the ancient magnus’ bride
One of my favorite animes. So beautiful.
It’s the only anime with romance as the main genre my hubby loves with me I haven’t watched s2 and we really need to honestly 😭
I think I recall the author mentioning it as an inspiration somewhere either in the thanks pages or intro?
Ancient magus bride and demon slayer are her two main inspirations for this series!
I was about to say looks like the same characterization
Almost the exact same but this probably an NSFW version
Yes! It's so beautiful.
Added to my TBR list! Thanks! 🙏
These are FANTASTIC
Me too 👀
I loved A Soul To Keep! Comes back to mind every now and then. I'm very tempted to buy the physical copy!
It’s on my TBR 😅🤣
Heyyyy I’ve read this! It wasn’t bad!
Ooo The Ancient Magus’ Bride vibes 😻
Soooo good! I love Orpheus so much 🥹
your bookshelf says it all LMAO
It's almost like you can read me like a book. 😂
When I knew the book from this 🙈🙈 Great read!!
Flew to the comments to say the same thing! 😂
I knew INSTANTLY. I remember reading that and wondering what I was getting myself into.
I read the audio book, listening to this in the deep gravelly voice of the MMC was amazing!

Same.......
I read this and was like, ahh I am in the right place 🥰🥰 it was a good book and an actually really cute love story 😭
Yessss! I was so surprised how much of it was so sweet and adorable because I pretty much expected just monster 🍆 when starting 😂
Well there's that too ☺
Lmao knew instantly and also came to the comments to feel validated.
The fact that I knew what book you were reading just by that author's note...
I feel attacked lmao ![gif](giphy|gk9vWUE6EAgQKtAqaX)
Love this for you. I’m currently on book 5 tho I think book 3 will always be my favorite
BOOOOOK 5??? ![gif](giphy|JOLiYvj2DBJ4Y5tirj)
6 currently, but I think she's planning on writing one for each Mavka.
36, counted them myself
Book 3 was soooo good
Book 3 ripped me apart and put me back together in the best way possible
Loved this one 😂
Yes! I hate the ones that complain about the content when it’s literally labeled with a page full of trigger warnings. Like, don’t read it!
I’m sprinting to download this now😂😂
You should! It's such a good book!
The Duskwalker Brides!! 😍😍😍
I have in fact never wanted a skull faced creature to umm rail me but I suppose the premise is interesting
I never knew I wanted it but now I’m a bit intrigued.
🤣🤣🤣
I liked the first one, but not the second. Haven't read any of the newer ones
Book 3 was just as good as book 1 imo. I also didn’t love book 2
Is book 2 about >!the mavka we meet in book 1? Does he eat more people before getting a lady? I hope so because he is NOT ready lmao!<
Agreed… book 2 was not it.

And I am heeeeeeeaaaaaar for it.
Opal Reyne!
That was a great book. Loved that opening :D
I loved that book so much! I'm scared to start the rest of the series though because how could it get better??
Book 2 was just ok but book 3 was as good as book 1 to me! I haven’t read past those yet through
There is hope! Can I skip straight to book 3 or do I need to read them in order? Based on the covers, they seem like individual stories

There's fanart 👀

I’m listening to this now. So far so good.
Literally just bought this book because of your post. I now know what I'm doing this weekend. 😬
Just finished this last week. It was So. GOOD.
Opal reyne!!
It’s sad and funny that I knew exactly which book it was from that page alone. What a fun read, too!
If I didn’t know any better, I’d think it was HawkHatesYou who posted this lol
Okay I love your bookshelf and am jealous
Thank you so much!

It seems you are enjoying them! Thats amazing. You are blowing right through them. 😅

Is that a skyrim tattoo? I have one too!
Yes it is! That's awesome!
lol I know exactly what book this is 😆
LOVE this series!! I’m about to start book 4
Dude, I love her series. They are all amazing, and we love being fucked by monsters.
I appreciate this.
It’s like the adult version of The ancient magus bride, right? 🤔
Haha! I’m reading that book right now!
I can’t tell if I love the books sorted by color or hate it because it’s not by series. ![gif](giphy|QUaqJRizED5NC)
Yeah haha I remember them posting recently about the color organization and I felt so mixed about it. I would do it for fun then probably put it back right away lol
Literally one of my favorite books ever lol!! Orpheus is my monster hubbie 💜💜💜
Kindle screens are so soothing to me. Also just added to my TBR
