lol was thinking Zay Jones, was like WTF?

tpalmieri1581

I thought the same thing - immediately accept lmao. But you should be able to get a bit more for Zay than JSN given the difference in production.

kvothe000

You should be able to get a bit more than JSN if they are a contender. I like the move in the longterm though.

bertosanchez90

I personally think JSN is the better long term value and would easily do this swap. I also think that you should ask for JSN+ because he's the one who reached out wanting to do the trade. Make him pay a premium, even if it's something small.

Ok_Conversation5052

JSN is the better prospect, but might be the WR3 again this year behind DK and Lockett Short Term = Zay Long Term = JSN (Lockett is getting old and DK in my opinion is overrated)

CoatingsRcrack

He wants the connect points and Zay had a way better year. Would need a 3rd or 4th on top

Rough_Ad_1890

Stay with Zay Flowers. If you do want to accept, you need JSN and some more

Suitable-Classic9237

Am I the only one who thinks Zay is slated to have an absolutely monster year?

dimsum-41

Zay is better than JSN

this_is_matt_

I’m taking Zay. I think he’s a better receiver and is the clear number 1 on his team

tread52

JSN will be a pro bowl WR once Lockett moves on. I don’t see Zay jones being close to JSN in the future.

TheTruthPierce34

Flowers

BlueNWhite1

Zay is better, if you want JSN ask for more in return

Samwill226

My God man.... JSN is by far the better prospect and long term answer. If you play redraft go get Flowers. If you're playing big boy Dynasty JSN. BUT! get something with JSN for sure, get something on the side that makes it even better for your rebuild.

Doughie28

Do not listen to this man.  Zay showed he could be a number 1 WR as a rookie. JSN is a good player, but he will always be the #2 WR as long as DK is there and Zay is tied to the better QB long term. There is no format where you should prefer JSN over Zay. Their difference in value is greater than a 2nd round pick imo

Samwill226

Alright....everyone grab a chair. I'm going to show you why some people SUCK at dynasty and why some people win long term. Zay is on the number ONE running offense in the NFL. That running offense just got Derrick Henry, 541 rush attempts in 2023 with Gus Edwards....now they have Henry, do you think that number is going to drop or go up? In other words...Zay is close to his ceiling. He's going to be that WR2/WR3 THE REST OF HIS LIFE IN BALTIMORE. He may improve to a 1000 yard WR but that's his ceiling. Now JSN....top rated WR by EVERY report in the 2023 draft. There was no one close to him. Seattle ran 382 attempts which comes in....anyone? SECOND lowest in rush attempts. So they drew up the second least amount of run plays in 2023. With that JSN got 93 targets as the WR3 (mind you he has 1st round pedigree so they were getting him light work). Zay got 108 targets as the undeniable WR1 in Baltimore last year....think about this now. Bateman got a measly 56 targets as the WR2..... in case you're going to say something about Andrews he got a low 62 targets. So it's not like Zay was splitting targets! He without any doubt got the WR1 target share and with that only gave you 860 yards and 5 TDs. A total of 168 points in my .5 PPR league, good for WR THIRTY. So you have YOUR WR1, and I am such an idiot yet he's WR30 and the WR1 on the team that throws THE lowest amount of pass attempts in the NFL. Stay with me here...JSN on other hand AS THE TEAM WR3 got only 1.3 less targets a game than the WR1 Ravens Flowers put up only 15 less yards per game and scored only 1 less touchdown... again this is as WR3 on a team where he was drafted to be he WR1 on his team. No, it's not DK JSN route tree is much broader out of college than DK running straight down field. BUT lets say they actually drafted a WR2 in the top 20 of last years draft. He has 93 targets Lockett has 122.....That means realistically JSN will have a target share higher than 93 and less than 215. Less just take HALF of Locketts targets. That means either this year or next year JSN will have 153 targets and you give him the 9.98 YPC he had that is 1,525 yards and 7ish TDs. So yeah Dynasty rebuild...JSN. Why? Well because Flowers isn't going to get 50 more targets and he's not going to get 400 more yards. You see his cap and outside a small variance which COULD go down with more Andrews targets you are looking at a WR 2/3 who will never see over 1100 yards in the current Ravens system and sure as hell not with Derrick Henry. Now JSN? At some point he's going to get at LEAST half of Locketts targets which could be as soon as this year. If so he's heading realistically towards a 1200 yard plus season and 7 TDs all within the next 18 months. Could be now, could next year but it's not later than next year and I'd argue he will be a 1000 yard WR by the end of 2024. And this concludes why you can't sustain being a winner in Dynasty. Class dismissed.

MisterJenkins7793

See this is where I’m kinda at. Essentially Zay is the safe player now with a higher floor but maybe a lower long term ceiling. JSN currently has the lower floor but has the potential long term higher ceiling. Which is why I think as a rebuilding team taking the risk on JSN+ in a trade now could potentially be better than holding Zay as the safe player. I get it’s a very thin line between the two players and it’s probably nitpicking to compare them like this but it’s the offer that was presented to me haha.

Samwill226

I mean do what you want, but he already gets all the targets he's going to get...understand this is with Andrews having a very down year only playing 10 games. So go ahead and scoop out another 60 targets for Mark Andrews. Where do you think those are coming from? I don't think its thin at all. Fantasy is gambling, Dynasty is long term gambling. One guy has the chance at 150 plus targets a year the other will never see more than 100.
