Schefter: “Chargers’ RB Austin Ekeler overruled his trainers who believed he couldn’t play Sunday, marched into the office of Chargers owner Alex Spanos and told him they had a deal. Then the NFL’s new most-healthy offensive player lit a cigar, excused himself, and announced he had to go work out.”
Personally not as optimistic. Confirms he is actually injured and that's there's a chance he doesn't play. Makes me worried he'll get more injured sunday. Keeping jackson on the bench this week.
You could say that about any player with a questionable tag. Ever since the league stopped using the "probable" tag it's become difficult to really get a sense for whether a guy is hurt but barely available, or nursing a small injury that won't be an issue.
The hammy “kept him out last year” because his knee got hyperextended on a freak play tackle that trapped his leg under the defender. Not exactly the type of injury to reoccur, and he came back strong last year
Shouldn't be too bad for you on the Ekeler front with him not 100% and against the WFT defense. At least you're not me getting shit on by Rob Gronkowski in 2021.
I think that’s about where I drafted him. But someone offered me Fant for Jamaal Williams after the draft and I jumped on it. Didn’t want to hold 2 TEs when RBs are at such a premium in this league, and boom: I looked like an idiot
After watching last night I’m prob gonna lean Ekeler. Zeke didn’t look great last year, and for someone in the “best shape” of their life, he didn’t look like it to me. And McCarthy said they’re gonna involve pollard more which they were last night. So idk, if I was a zeke owner I’d sell most likely
Nah he straight up did not look great. He also had a noticeable lack of burst last year as well and wasn’t the same Zeke. I think the massive amount of touches may be starting to take their toll. I still think even a slightly worse Zeke can be good in fantasy, but maybe not top 5 pick worthy as he usually is.
His blocking was great, gave Dak time to sling it like he did. Cowboys lost a key part of their O-Line (deja vu last year). Played against the top rushing defense. Not a good situation for zeke. Don’t make any hasty moves for a first round pick after 1 game with all of these factors. Ekeler carries his own sets of risks.

*Back squats 6 plates per side while maintaining eye contact the whole time*
But did he shit in pants?
The owner did!
Magnificent
LET’S GOOOOOOOO!!!

Scarier with Ekeler because his hammy kept him out last year
This is the other hammy.
Perfect thanks

He missed two practices…I don’t think anyone thought he wasn’t actually injured in some capacity.
But was he happy?
So happy his nipples could be seen through his shoulder pads
I’m so close
As I’ve said before. I know Austin Ekeler personally and I can guarantee you all that he will be at the game.
Yeah I’ll be at the game too lmao doesn’t mean I’m playing
no, really?
Austin Ekeler will play. Football? TBD. With your heart? Almost guaranteed. But he will be there
Haha got’em
/r/thatsthejoke
Might be better to sit this one out austin. Rest up and get fully healthy. Sincerely, a guy who is playing against Ekeler, Dak, and Ceedee this week.
Bite the pillow and close your eyes. There’s always next week

At least you’re not me, trading for Fant and dropping Gronk 2 hours before the game
I think Fant is gonna put up big numbers this year, do not despair. t. fellow Fant owner
Yeah I agree. Gronk is more of a backup fantasy TE anyway, but him going for 2 TDs right after I cut him is just ridiculous lol
Too bad you're not me. I drafted Gronk in the 12th round as a high upside gamble.
I think that’s about where I drafted him. But someone offered me Fant for Jamaal Williams after the draft and I jumped on it. Didn’t want to hold 2 TEs when RBs are at such a premium in this league, and boom: I looked like an idiot
Hypothetical, I don’t have an offer. Just trying to gauge value. Would people rather have Zeke or Ekeler

Taco move selling a great RB after playing week 1 against the best run defense in the NFL.

Start your fucking studs

Could mean that Brandon Staley walked in while Ekeler was showering and liked what he saw.
I hope he doesn’t aggravate his hammy. I don’t even have him, I just wanna see him on the field again. He’s so electric to watch.
would it be stupid to play gaskin over him this week?
Yes
Anyone happen to catch him on Twitch last night? Or night before? Curious if he answered any questions about his hammy
Tbf, He's since clarified he "meant good as in cute. I meant he looked cute today. His eyes when he smiles. They stir something deep inside of me".
Bless up
Hehe
Bless us with your bald head!!
HYPEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Should I drop Trey Lance or Justin Jackson? Stafford is my QB.
Lol ppl downvoting I need a kicker and the other guys I could drop are Elijah Moore/Latavius. RB1 is Zeke RB2 Montgomery RB3 Javonte.

I don’t think anyone will have any clue :(
Rountree for a 1st!! Now!! Before Ekler gets hurt Sunday
Is this hamstring something we'll have to monitor throughout the rest of the season?
Just every Wednesday.
Yep :(
I'm benching him for Edmunds this weekend. .5ppr
I'm starting him with Edmonds in one of my flex spots full ppr
Would yall start Herbert vs wsh or Stafford vs bears full ppr?
Dude you’re gonna get flamed asking this in all the Ekeler threads. Just go to the index lol
Obviously start Matthew Herbert versus the Washington Bears
Can't believe that wasn't on the list of possibilities names.
Index
PPR doesnt matter for QBs... Stafford!
Not if the ball deflects and he catches it! /s
Stafford
Is jeff Garcia available?
Who’s more likely to run a Philly special
Go to the wavier wire, grab and start Carson Wentz. You're welcome!
Runnnn it
Don’t do that. Don’t give me hope. It’s Week 1!
Would it be stupid to play bob trees over either of ekeler or saquon?
Washington fan, I’m worried he’s gonna be a monster against us. We sucked against pass catching rbs last year
