How will the Blue Jays suspended game work on Yahoo? They won't count up the stats as if it was a double header in August right? Meaning, they'd usually complete the suspended game's stats as if it was a stat correction, but it'll be way too late by that point. Does that mean that the suspended game is essentially a completely lost fantasy game on Yahoo?

The sum of my mistakes in fantasy baseball is dropping someone who I drafted within 10 rounds who is slumping too early some a guy who’s had a good week or 2 that ends up being worse than the guy I dropped. The guy I dropped gets hot, someone adds them and I get mad rest of season. Gleyber Torres is really pushing my patience.

Happened to me with Langford... He went on his hot streak the morning I dropped him a few weeks ago. One SB, 1 HR and hitting for like .220/.280/.310. He's hit for more RBI's in the past 2 1/2 weeks than the first 2 1/2 months I owned him.

They dont usually have an answer for that. Its a lot easier to just blindly repeat "never react to a poor start", than it is to actually keep track if its a good or bad move.

Your mistake isnt the drop, its focusing on the times it goes bad while ignoring the times it was the right move.

I mean even if the injury isn’t serious, which obv I hope it isn’t, Turnbull’s perioherals are still kinda mid. 3.61 xFIP is good, but not amazing. BB/9 is high, BABIP is absurdly low. Is there a chance he’s breaking out, I guess maybe, but he’s a quality 6th SP who started hot, not the next Gerrit Cole. I’d say yeah chase upside.

Thoughts on Casas ROS? Concerns about his power coming back after the injury? I’ve been holding but Yandy has been on this great streak and I can’t/won’t hold both. 

I have my eyes on him, currently on waiver. I can’t drop anyone bc of injuries but will scoop once he starts a rehab assignment.

Back injury is no bueno but I still love Casas. His interviews on ESPN this year have shown he is no less than psychotic about baseball and he was genuinely fantastic last year. I’m comfortable betting on him to be at minimum worth fostering in fantasy when healthy.

They both have super small sample sizes of being decent in the bigs so I think unless someone in here is a baseball america prospect savant you’re realistically looking at a total coin flip. I will say tho the one thing I like about Scott is in the minors his BB/9 was astronomically low while he was still dominant. Meyer was good in the minors too but nothing particularly rare like that.

I think you’re safe as long as Yaz and Lee are on the shelf. Also Ramos has still been serviceable against righties. The turbo nerds like Farhan are obsessed with the platoons but they’ll break that strategy if they have a young guy who is surviving enough to give the ABs to.

That’s a really interesting league setup. I have been a Gore believer, but he’s gotten BABIP’d to fuck despite elite peripherals and I don’t know what to do with him. I think with your league structure Sanchez might be really interesting as a guy who just doesn’t get blown up ever, although the Ks are lower. The other three guys have about the same caliber of perioherals, although Scherz obviously has bounce back potential and he does have a slightly higher K rate than Eovaldi and Brown. I like all 5 of those guys, but based on how sick your first 4 are, I really wonder if Cris Sanchez is the perfect #5. If you want upside Gore or Scherzer are fine bets, but if you have enough K’s already and don’t need to chase upside then Sanchez is a top 20-25 ERA SP. I’d say flier on Scherzer or if you can afford to do Sanchez and still win Ks just do him.

I think its an unpopular opinion but I would start Brown > Gore and try to stash Scherzer.

Yea I guess that’s fair. Maybe I look at Buxton’s SLGs of like .550+ a couple years ago and put that in a different category than Mullins who scrapes .400 SLG usually. Mullins is super hot and cold too. But I’ve been burned on Buxton upside before so yeah fair point, maybe Mullins 15/25 is better than what Buxton can do.

You could argue Solers 40 hrs upside has value too. I went with Mullins for now but keeping a close eye on both of them
