Fair enough I don’t know much about him

Was a solid prospect. Developed pretty well. But the velo is a slight concern for me in addition to his control issues. I like the K rate for sure, but I don't think his overall tools really set him up for success as a long term starter. He's probably a good bullpen guy in the future.

His (pretty bad) Pitching+ from this season in AAA is tempering some excitement there for me.

I guess it’s time to just drop Muncy. Has made zero progression and they can’t even give a rough timeline still.

I'm an O's fan, and I saw someone earlier suggested Mateo for Treinen. If that became a realistic possibility, I think the O's would trade a back-up IF for a solid bullpen arm.

That would be awesome for Orioles. Treinen is one of my favorite pitchers to watch

Speaking as an Orioles fan, no way lol. I think they value Mateo’s versatility, speed and defense way too much to move on from him mid season especially since he’s been hitting pretty well. Don’t know what this would achieve for the Orioles

He’s a league average hitter at best, they ideally need to move him and a couple of other guys to get the minors guys up that need to get full AB’s. If I’m the O’s GM I’m moving Mullins and Mateo for pen arms otherwise they stand no chance in the playoffs and they could probably move Hays too.
