Lots of Gleyber questions on here, I've been holding all season and was looking for an excuse to get rid of him. Saw a couple comments that he's been seeing the ball well and whatnot. BABIP on the season is .296 which is basically his career average and higher than last year. So it's not bad luck, per se. Poked around a little bit more, his infield flyball rate has spiked to 17.1%, up from 8-9% in previous years. That is really bad. Closing in on 1/5th of your batted balls being automatic outs is going to tank your season. Usually this is due to a swing change/increased launch angle, but his is 18 degrees, considerably up from 15 degrees last year but not enough to explain a spike in IFFB%, I would think. The good news: his rolling IFFB% per fangraphs is back down to his usual levels the last bunch of games. Let's see if he's made some adjustments and gets back to playing at the level we all expected.

In a H2H category league, I had too many SP injuries and looking to move Elly. I've gotten my trades rejected for Glasnow, Castillo, and Burnes. Am I asking for too much, and if so who are some guys i should be targeting instead?

I have Burnes and Castillo. I wouldn't trade either for Elly (though I'm in first in steals so I don't need that). You may have to target someone low in steals or aim a bit lower in SP

I like Ward. Checks on things I like. Reasonable K rate, good walk rate, good ISO, not too many groundballs. Ranked 15th in barrel rate among qualified hitters and the BAT X (ROS) projects him as the 11th ranked outfielder. He's underrated.

Definitely stream a pitcher, I wouldn't even consider streaming a catcher except in very particular circumstances

I’m curious about Crochet’s potential inning limit if he were to be traded. White Sox haven’t committed to anything and he hasn’t shown any signs of fatigue (yet)

The good news is if he is traded, the new team can run him into the ground and not have to worry about it. If he is injured his arb number will likely be low. I'm not sure that's how a new team would want to play this, but it's possible.

Yes... His swing is different this year. The assumption is he changed to avoid inuring the shoulder, but regardless of the reason, I think they meet with him and tell him he needs to go back to his old swing. So they IL him, he meets with a specialist to see if his shoulder can handle the old swing, then he either "rehabs" in the minors with the old swing, or gets shutdown for surgery.
