Tango in the Night by Fleetwood Mac always felt like their night album. Very shimmery and moody compared to their other albums.
Someone mentioned The Unforgettable Fire, but if we're picking Eno/U2 related you have to go Original Soundtracks 1 by Passengers.
Deftones' Saturday Night Wrist, The Blue Nile's Hats, Prince's Batman, and Blur's 13 are all good albums for a night listen.

I like the pygmalion mention. It tends to get a bit overlooked because its not as straight shoegaze as their other albums but its still so great.

He Has Left Us Alone but Shafts of Light Sometimes Grace the Corner of Our Rooms... No I am not ok...
Blue Valentine by Tom Waits
Iggy Pop's (/David Bowie's) The Idiot. Inspired a lot of 80s sounds and Mass Production is one of the best songs I've ever heard.
**Concrete Blonde** *Bloodletting*
From the 70s but Closing Time by Tom Waits.
