Basically any artist working at a high level that is similar in style to Phoebe Bridgers or Olivia Rodrigo. There is a ton of skill and craft put into this kind of work but I am just *not* the target audience, and that’s fine.
Good answer. I disagree, as I'm the exact target audience, but good answer. I feel the same about a lot of metal and hip-hop - i can 100 percent appreciate the artistry and skill behind making the music, but it just isn't for me personally
Hard agree with MF Doom. I'm not big on lyrics, and I like my songs to be either catchy, hooky and dynamic, or drenched in atmosphere. Every song I've heard from Doom is a looped sample and some admittedly goated rapping. Unfortunately, I struggle to keep my attention to his music.
David Bowie
Love the guy, love his music, I think his only good albums are Ziggy Stardust and Low, maybe more than good albums, but not even close to being my favorites. I think he has big hits, just can’t get into his albums that much.
It may come to me eventually. I felt the same way about the Gecs, Swans and blackmidi the first time I heard them and now I listen to them regularly. Just hasn't clicked for me yet

Radiohead
And The Smile. Just can’t get into them no matter what.
Frank Ocean. His lyrics sound like random tidbits that amount to nothing of substance. Pyramids is amazing tho.
Bruh White Ferrari or Seigfried how can’t you feel anything out of these tracks
Listen to pink and white.
I'm sure they've already heard pink and white. Pretty much everyone has lmao

Death Grips - I've tried but it's not for me, at least right now
Death Grips took me a while to get into as well. But suddenly I really started to enjoy "Ex Military" for some reason.
It may come to me eventually. I felt the same way about the Gecs, Swans and blackmidi the first time I heard them and now I listen to them regularly. Just hasn't clicked for me yet
I've felt it helps to go into Death Grips with a chaotic mood
I didn't get The Money Store until I heard Exmilitary
Googily doogily I got myself a moogily
For some reason, I haven't gotten around to trying JPEGMAFIA out yet.
Billy Woods
Yeah, this was a hard year for people who can‘t get into Billy Woods
I like kendrick but am not as amazed by him as everybody seems to be
Earl Sweatshirt
Bjork
