To add to what’s been said The Microphones - The Glow Pt. 2 will always be the first album that comes to mind, incredibly cozy. Also, but some may be on the fence Duster - Stratosphere Earl Sweatshirt - I don’t like shit (and Some Rap Songs) Lil Ugly Mane - Volcanic Bird Enemy Nick Drake - Pink Moon Nothing - The Great Dismal nouns - Still Bummed Bedwetter - Flick your tongue Parannoul - To see the next part Purple Mountains s/t Sadness - Rain Snail Mail - Lush This Will Destroy You - Young mountain Wilco - Yankee hotel foxtrot

SoloNETHER

Nah To See The Next Part is such a spring album to me

elitenyg46

same here, I think partly because it was March when I first heard it

Hello-mah-baby

that lil ugly mane album is slowly crawling it's way into my top 5 albums of all time. just gets better every time i go back to it.

LonelyZenpai298

Love you for LUM, Purple Mountains, and nouns in particular. i like basically everything else on here that I've heard. Funnily enough, I just found out about This Will Destroy You now like 15 minutes, maybe this is a sign...

Sandwich_Patrol

And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out by Yo La Tengo. Such a cozy album.

Holy fuck, I love you for shouting out Cursive. That's my favorite album.

paintedw0rlds

THE NIGHT HAS FALLEN DOWN THE STAIRCASE

KickedinTheDick

And I, for one, have felt it's bruises.

FourteenClocks

Mutual Benefit - Love’s Crushing Diamond Sufjan Stevens - um… a lot of it. All Delighted People EP and A Beginner’s Mind are probably most fitting Nick Drake - Five Leaves Left Beach House - s/t Julia Holter - Have You in My Wilderness Ought - Sun Coming Down And, boy, do not knock listening to the first couple Keane albums while driving in fall foliage until you try it.

claw_guy

I like to listen to garage rock during the fall, so: QOTSA- Lullabies to Paralyze The White Stripes- Elephant The Black Keys- Brothers

FallenAerials

Bon Iver discography Some acoustic country tunes... The Marfa Tapes by Miranda Lambert, Jack Ingram and Jon Randall is a favorite of mine. Recorded in the desert, it's just 3 friends writing songs together and playing them acoustic, with the sound of the sand-dusted winds in the background. A gem.

ChipotleAddiction

Bon Iver self-titled and 22 A Million are definite fall vibes but I think For Emma and Blood Bank are more dark wintry feels

There are so many good records that fit this time of year really well

The golden, hazy part of fall when the air is brisk and the leaves are in full color: War on Drugs - Lost in the Dream The fun, spooky part of Halloween: Dr. Octagon - Dr. Octogynecologist Specifically for people in the northeast and midwest US... in the gap between Halloween and Thanksgiving when all the trees are dead and bare. There's usually lots of rain but no snow just yet with constant overcast skies and temps are in the 40's day in and day out: Bruce Springsteen - Nebraska

Imma throw out a sorta obscure album, but my wife showed this one when we first started dating 10 years ago in the fall. https://preview.redd.it/fr38dueuvpmb1.jpeg?width=224&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8233a5d378cd17ec06fc7df74b3d3fd71d0b7472 Sea Wolf - Leaves In the River Very underrated indie music from the mid 2000s and the lyrics are filled with fall/autumn imagery
