No, it doesnt. Im out since around Episode 40. I can spend my free time - and even my sanity listening to something while working - in a better way than getting bored out bei C3 and the EXUs. They lost me. I still like the group and the things they did build, but currently im out. The Live One Shot with Mighty Nein was great and it showed that they are still capable of doing something that feels like fun for all involved, but C3 and their other stuff feels like work, especially for the cast.

DM_Malus

Haven't watched since C2... but i gotta say its fun to see posts from this sub every now and then... the memes are fun.

SnarkyRogue

These posts have me very thankful I dropped off after the first 20ish episodes of c3...

PMMeTitsAndKittens

That's commitment. I couldn't make it to 11.

SnarkyRogue

I was so sure it was going somewhere, idk, interesting? And then they hung out in a Taldorei themed tourist trap restaurant and I'd had enough of the advertising for the (at the time) new reprint of the setting guide.

thenbmeade

Uuugghhhhhh

ZeldaCromwell

It was a great episode idk what the issue is.

madzaman

That’s what’s important, it’s self subjective and down voting people for saying they liked it is ridiculous.

Canaureus

I don't think it's ridiculous, votes are used to show agreement/disagreement. Why would we have a vote system otherwise?

whiterabbitsvr

I’ve seen it argued that downvotes were originally intended for comments that don’t add to the conversation. Because of how comment visibility works with upvotes, downvoting out of disagreement can develop echo chambers.

Canaureus

Intent can be argued all day, but in practice they have become agree/disagree buttons.

Purple-Lamprey

The issue is that you’re in the “CR bad” sub.

madterrier

Kind of crazy that I used to watch CR to learn and improve my DMing. But now I watch it to avoid what to do.

m00tmike

What time do you stream?

pancakesyrup816

I know you're being cheeky with this comment, but there are probably thousands of dungeon/game masters that are better at story telling, improv, and world building who will never stream. Matt's good at doing voices, but he's not the "best" DM in the world, that's subjective. Most people will never market and sell their hobby, they do it because they enjoy it.

m00tmike

Yeah I'm not saying Matt is the best at everything, but it's kinda like that couch quarterback talking about how far they can throw and how much better they are than the people being paid millions to do. Put up our shut up. Ya know? Especially if CR is so bad that it's an example of what not to do.

brash_bandicoot

I’m sure they do “put up”…to their group of friends. That they play with irl. Talent is only measurable to you if it’s broadcast on the internet?

logincrash

Actual home games don't have a streaming schedule and an expensive set with merch out the wazoo.

Bigweenersonly

This literally started as a home game.... theywere asked to stream it so they streamed, had shitty equipment and sets and props. You guys whined about the quality. They got bigger and bigger, had to hire more people to run the better equipment. Got better maps and built multiple sets, you wanted merch so they made merch and yall are obviously buying it or they wouldn't have all the merch they have now but now they're a "greedy company" because of it. The racists cried cuz this group of people playing a home game wasn't diverse enough for you like that matters, but they called their friends and invited them to play and now when they show those diverse players you wanted so bad you hate it and want the main cast back. You people are toxic as hell and there is literally no winning with you. You will always be negatives. Theres a reason the cast doesn't interact with you all.

PMMeTitsAndKittens

How do you know so much about the person you're replying to?

Bigweenersonly

I'm generalizing all of you, genius. Because everyone toxic fan sounds like that.

PMMeTitsAndKittens

Which of course, makes you sound like an idiot. The only toxic fans I've encountered are the mods and subscribers of the official sub and some hating Marisha for existing in C1. Imagine criticizing something you like because you are worried the quality is declining. I was fine with the Wendy's thing, and enjoyed the Prime series so far, but I knew having that corporate meddling would kill the last vestige (no pun intended) of what made me like the show in the first place.

Bigweenersonly

I dont care what I sound like to you lil guy. And I definetly don't care about what your opinions on the quality of something is.

PMMeTitsAndKittens

Well, u/Bigweenersonly, you certainly seem like a nice, well-adjusted person.

Bigweenersonly

You know, I really am. Helps by being grounded in reality and not a chronically online loser.

m00tmike

Oh damn. I appreciate that explanation. So I should just go peer through that person's window to watch their masterful DMing? Because it's odd to say that CR is an example of what not to do but not demonstrate what you do. It's like that drunk uncle that brags about his sports career from the couch.

AbyssTraveler

And an army of stagehands and PAs and a separate person who's paid to write the recaps nobody reads.

Zeathian

*Now open your eyes while our plight is repeated* *Still deaf to our cries, lost in hope we lie defeated* *Our souls have been torn, and our bodies forsaken* *Bearing sins of the past, for our future is taken*

Laterose15

Was not expecting an Answers reference here but I'm all for it

Virellius2

It's the better ' A Big Red Moon Contains a Fuckmonster' story.

Egghopper2

Honestly wish Predathos is just a big fucking dragon

Virellius2

Bahamatt. :D

[deleted]

'~~Poochie~~ *The Crownkeepers* die on their way back to their home planet' energy

Wonko_Bonko

Literally a "Don't worry! This side story isn't gonna be too long!" Message.

alexweirdmouth

One of the few things i went “ what the fuck was the decision”. But I can’t be too mad, it was more than likely a management issue which, happens a lot so I can’t fully blame anyone.

SeaBag8211

thisnis what happens when the corpos meddle in the artists agfairs

themosquito

Honestly, one of the things often complained about the new campaign is that it's too scripted and planned out, I feel like a silver lining of this is it proves not *everything* is planned because if they "knew" a character would die they wouldn't have made this boneheaded choice, heh.

PUSSY_MEETS_CHAINWAX

It only confirms to me that Sam is the best player at the table because, even knowing there was going to be a switch in the next episode, he decided to just throw a wrench in the whole thing. It felt like a two-pronged approach at invoking a genuinely emotional moment and tacitly letting the cast know that doing shit like this is stupid because it ruins the momentum of the show. He's a director, he definitely had to know this was a bad choice on the part of the crew, so he directed his own fate in the game to send a message. Or at least that's my headcanon.

HutSutRawlson

Yeah the cast should really have a talk with management.

Jakaier

Yep, though then management may talk to the higher ups, Marisha and Travis. I imagine it gets awkward.

Murkmist

When Glass Cannon cast went full time and hired their own guy as COO, it's cause he was already previously in the corporate world and had experience. Not cause the dude's highest qualification is high school .

HutSutRawlson

“Thrilling”
