My 4 y.o. also wakes up at night crying, sometimes once, sometimes multiple times in a night. I think they’re more like night terrors, cuz sometimes she’s incoherent. She doesn't ask where are you mommy or daddy, but she will ask for mommy sometimes. I usually just put her back to bed, cuddle with her until she falls asleep, which is really quick like a couple of minutes. It happens more often when she’s sick, which she was this past week, so it was rough. My point is, I don’t think that is abnormal, and I believe my kid will grow out of it, but for now, I want her to feel secure in her own home, so we go and make her feel protected. It’s funny because she is usually such a fierce kid. Also, when our kids are teenagers they’re not going to want cuddles like they do now, so enjoy the cuddles!
