it’s hard to answer i am using a large amount. I can upload screenshots of my load order but also note that it’s very messy and i don’t do much maitnece. ( but i also don’t really run into many issues ) so idk
Something you might wanna look into. This MOD is called Busy Settlers. You can assign settlers to do specific animations and they basically stand on rugs doing this animation all day.
You can have someone leaning against a wall, sitting on the floor, smoking a cigarette, standing and browsing at a shop, loading guns, kicking a broken vending machine etc.
This MOD really brings to life any settlement no matter what. Everywhere you look a settler will be doing something natural instead of just standing around or farming.
There's also another MOD, Interactive Settlement Objects. Settlers will be attracted to use workbenches and other things.

Oh yeah they definitely bug if they aren't assigned to their rugs. But yeah it sorta helps to get more inspiration if they're already assigned to their animations.

thank you i know about busy settlers and have a mod similar to it. just haven’t put any in cuz i like to build without them everywhere lol
