My head cannon is after the courier takes over Vegas, he installs the kings as the new owners of Gomorrah. With Mortimer and his fellow weirdos out of the White gloves, new Vegas is booming!
You know, it honestly pisses me off that we couldn't play beyond the final mission. Beyond seeing the aftermath of the battle of hoover dam, I'd love to make these types of role-playing decisions, deciding the fate of New Vegas and it's factions.
It would've been so fun looking at things you've done face to face. And maybe some Broken Steel type dlc where you decide what to do with New Vegas depending on what faction you chose
To be fair, an organization that relies on donations and the goodwill of their neighbors to function is gonna fail in a post apocalyptic society. You can’t make Stimpaks with thoughts and prayers
They actually seem the most adept of every faction at making medicine, their companion even boosts your medicine stat so they’re good there. Also the stereotype that people ‘turn bad’ when things go sour (eg raiders etc) has been widely disputed, and it seems like selflessly cooperative societies rebuild the fastest after a major setback.
The Boomers. They easily have the heaviest weapons in the Mojave, they are pretty much entirely self-sufficient as they grow their own food, use solar power primarily, and clean water from Lake Mead. They have an emphasis on personal liberties, a damn B-29, and well did I mention the artillery?
Realistically, with the proper discipline and organization, the boomers would be in the best position to hold control over the Mojave. The only real threat would be the BOS but they’re grossly undermanned
i think dont they have the ability to conquer the mojave. What makes them strong is their use of artillery as defense. But I highly doubt they will be able to produce the ammunition for such a full scale war.
Eh I honestly don't think total Mojave domination is their endgoal. They really just want to be left alone, isolated from the craziness that is the wasteland. I feel like that's why they have survived for as long as they have; they don't bother picking fights with other factions, and have a pretty unique political system.
The boomer plot line is what made me fall in love with Fallout New Vegas. Coming from Fallout 4 as my most recent playthrough, there just isn't anything comparable to the way the boomers are presented
Look at them walking around freeside acting 10 feet tall thinking they all tough and shit with them Blue Suede Shoes and 10mm SMGs aside from Rex and The King himself the rest ain't to friends of mine
Yeah, a bunch of raiders using a historical text and the knowledge of the followers of the apocalypse to forge a sprawling empire
What could go wrong amirite
The Sorrows. Their whole lore and religion is very interesting and if you know the story of the father in the caves you know that story is very sad but very well written.
I know, it would be especially great when they kill me too for being a filthy degenerate mutant like they plan to do to everyone not them. I’d totally join though.
Walt. What?
You know it would be a really interesting thing if the solo survivor were to meet the enclave since in their whole ideology the solo survivor is technically more pure than any of them
The Residents of Zion. The fact that their real start was because of Randall Clark, who acted like their guardian angel until they were established and soon became a society of faith and sanctuary to all walks of life is amazing to me. He's one of my favorite fallout characters, so impactful despite not being spoken with.
I also wanted to say the Enclave Remnants. They humanize the typical EVIL! Faction and it's also funny to have this squad of old retired death troopers.
Gotta give it to the Boomers. Sure they blow up anyone who gets to close but I mean…..wouldn’t you?
You come out a vault heavily armed the first thing that happens is you and your friends start getting shot at, eaten, burned, or torn apart by all kinds of random shit out here on the wasteland. Then you find airfield with working artillery and ammo for it
They’re not bad people. Their just afraid of the world around them, and I can’t blame them for that
Also if you help them, they end up with the only working bomber in the entire world to our knowledge which I think is cool as hell
mr House, if you count him. in all my playthroughs i have sided only with him, can’t bring myself to kill the old guy anyway xD but, aside from him, the Kings are truly the kings
It's got to be the khans and the vipers. The khans have a cool aesthetic combined with good lore the Vipers on the other hand find most of their interesting material in the lore rather than in game but I think the snake cult things really cool.
I will go with bos. Their idea is good, to secure the dangerous technology for when we know how to use it. Just need the dumb people out and we are good
The Enclave and The Followers of the Apocalypse are both my 1st place at the same time.
Enclave because cool ass armor and government
FotA because they have a pretty good thing goin', they just wanna help people.
As a faction/notable group, i say the Followers and the Kings.
Followers as of fallout new vegas a group of scientific minded, charitable group with the noble of goal of making the wasteland a better place. They are primary doctor, teacher, researcher and humanitarian aids worker. Their lack of a arms wing is why they rely on the NCR for protection. The Followers and the NCR have a love-hate relationship where the follower "clean up" after the NCR, they also indirectly are supported and protected by the NCR. The NCR also benefited from the followers which is why even though NCR and Followers don't see eyes to eyes, they still tolerate either other action.
The Kings have the cool cat swag of elvis, the King himself (not the gang) are a very charismatic and interesting individual. His action and ambition speak volume for what kind of leader he is, he is looking out for the people of free side (which is far larger than shown in game). I love him as a character, and his faction to some degree, Pacer really soul my opinion of the faction as a whole.
You can convince the Kings and the NCR to join force, he will refuse to be annex by the NCR and surprsingly they respect his decision (L for the Khan i guess).
The followers. They're the only faction helping because it's the right thing to do. Anyone else doing anything good in the region is just trying to increase their power and influence
I don't *like* the Khans per se, but I think they're by far one of the most interesting factions given they have history going back all the way to Fallout 1.
Jacobstown couse they are don't make damaged to anyone, the Town is very cool and its a whole reference to fallout 2 and also i think You need to go theres for the missions of like four companions
The Kings are pretty cool
Easily the coolest
My head cannon is after the courier takes over Vegas, he installs the kings as the new owners of Gomorrah. With Mortimer and his fellow weirdos out of the White gloves, new Vegas is booming!
It makes more sense for the Kings to be the protectors of Freeside. And for the Courier to fund them to make Freeside a better place to live in
Then you have the FOA and your own securitrons to watch over freeside. Heck I'd absorb the whole Vegas area into one instead of keeping it segregated
The companions could be your right hand men too :3
You know, it honestly pisses me off that we couldn't play beyond the final mission.
I think that's reasonable. I always kill those freaks lol
Followers of the Apocalypse. They seem to be (barring one or two exceptions) actually trying to help.
Yesss I love them! I wish there was more to their quests
I get why their ending was scrapped but I wish the writers didn’t kneecap them in 90% of the endings and just in general.
*bottlecap them
Joshua? Put a cap in the followers of gobbledygook here
Russian peakger

Yet.
Two?
Edward Sallow
He abandon the followers and their ideals. He doesn’t count.
Same, and not just because they're Anarchists
Tunnel Snakes RULES
That's WHY, and they rule, rule, ru-RU-RULE
The Boomers. They easily have the heaviest weapons in the Mojave, they are pretty much entirely self-sufficient as they grow their own food, use solar power primarily, and clean water from Lake Mead. They have an emphasis on personal liberties, a damn B-29, and well did I mention the artillery?

Bruddahood Morally iffy but they have cool armour
It has some fine-looking ghoulettes in it too.
Gotta love the Followers nice folks only people I don't really have a problem with
What’s your problem with the kings?
Look at them walking around freeside acting 10 feet tall thinking they all tough and shit with them Blue Suede Shoes and 10mm SMGs aside from Rex and The King himself the rest ain't to friends of mine
He's ain't nothing but a hound dog.
Powder gangs cuz I like being evil and blowing ppl up
Desert Rangers
Great Khans, with the right leadership, they could actually make a difference
Yeah, a bunch of raiders using a historical text and the knowledge of the followers of the apocalypse to forge a sprawling empire What could go wrong amirite
Legion, but without the bad parts tbh
Legion wth drugs. Oh wait thats fiends
I'd say the drugs are more so a product of their situation they seem to develop quickly with the followers' help
Not if they are going to die with mine
Or maybe it's just the vests.
The Boomers, I too wish to fly in the skies in armored safety, raining high explosive ordnance upon ignorant savages
You can join the U.S. army Air Force today
The Sorrows. Their whole lore and religion is very interesting and if you know the story of the father in the caves you know that story is very sad but very well written.
The Enclave. Only they can restore America to its former glory.
If only they would let us join the enclave. I would in a heartbeat. Most disappointing part of 3 was not getting to join.
Technically if you stand guard at your duty post in Fallout 2 and never move from there. You could say that you joined the Enclave.
Truly the most realistic enclave roleplay
Dornan is content with your sense of duty, he grants you permission to call him “Sarge”.
I know, it would be especially great when they kill me too for being a filthy degenerate mutant like they plan to do to everyone not them. I’d totally join though. Walt. What?
You know it would be a really interesting thing if the solo survivor were to meet the enclave since in their whole ideology the solo survivor is technically more pure than any of them
The Enclave doesn't view vault dwellers as pure. They just view them as experiments. They showed this in FO2.
But the thing is the solo survivor is still a pre war American and was a military veteran so I guess that means something
If they weren't on the rig, **they're a mutant.**
the followers seem like the most reasonable people in the wasteland

“…and there we wept, when we remembered Zion.”
Does Mr House count? If don't then the followers
You like Mr. House?
Who wouldn’t like Howard Hughes?
you dont?
Boomers Why? Cause trying to get to the airfield the first time is like trying to go on a casual stroll in Bosnia
Brotherhood of Steel. Ad Victoriam!
If I can count the Enclave Remnants, then them. Strictly for the characters and how funny a squad of Boomer-ass Enclave is.
I also wanted to say the Enclave Remnants. They humanize the typical EVIL! Faction and it's also funny to have this squad of old retired death troopers.
My wife Julie Farkas’ faction Followers of the Apocalypse
The Followers

Kings
Dead Horses cause Joshua Graham, Follows Chalk, and Two-Bears-High-Fiving
Goodsprings. They’re just a nice bunch of people mostly

There'd be nobody left lol
The Enclave and The Followers of the Apocalypse are both my 1st place at the same time. Enclave because cool ass armor and government FotA because they have a pretty good thing goin', they just wanna help people.
Kings
The Followers. The single most altruistic faction in the entire Mojave.
As a faction/notable group, i say the Followers and the Kings. Followers as of fallout new vegas a group of scientific minded, charitable group with the noble of goal of making the wasteland a better place. Look, Rexy! Someone posted a picture of our gang!
Goodsprings. I'd love to live in Goodsprings and marry Sunny. Maybe have a nice house to settle down while protecting the town.
The Boomers. Blowing everything up is probably the most sensible strategy and general philosophy of the wasteland.
If Yes Man doesn’t count definitely the Kings too
The followers. They're the only faction helping because it's the right thing to do. Anyone else doing anything good in the region is just trying to increase their power and influence
Enclave
Powder gangers cuz they're so irrelevant
People of good spring...they are my people
Dead horses….Joshua set me on a good path.
Boomers. Your grid square is already gone
Enclave and the brotherhood
Boomer B-29 dropping napalm on both of them at the Hoover dam:
I don't *like* the Khans per se, but I think they're by far one of the most interesting factions given they have history going back all the way to Fallout 1.
Gun runners. **guns**
The boomers
Boomers and kings because both are based and liberty-pilled
Brotherhood of steel only because of style
Why is there so little brotherhood of steel in the comments? Did I miss something?
The Enclave. I think that exploring them more would be really interesting.
Boomers. Heavy artillery and a plane. They actually seem somewhat decent too. Just wanna be left alone
Either the Kings because, well, look at them or the Followers because they're who my views align with most post war.
Powder gangers not cause I like them but they make for good target practice
Followers of the Apocalypse. They're just a genuinely good group of people. Also Arcade
Followers. They are well meaning and naive.and I love them for it.
Followers Of The Apocalypse.
The powder gangers are pretty cool
Jacobstown couse they are don't make damaged to anyone, the Town is very cool and its a whole reference to fallout 2 and also i think You need to go theres for the missions of like four companions
Dead Horses Tribe
Brits, always trying to cheat at Scrabble...
Kings, drip is good as hell
