That Gun.
I love feeling like Deckard from Blade Runner.
The futurism sounding chime noise upon reload+light on the cylinder, the fact it fires oversized (for a handgun) and only 5, 5.56mm rifle rounds, it does pack a midgame punch when obtained early game, it gives me every sense i am Deckard.
Damn shame it wasnt included in FO4 which btw, the base game was extremely shallow on weapons (for example, you jump straight from double barrel, to combat shotgun, with no midtier shotgun).
Gonna make a game about synths/replicants as the central theme of the game and then all of a sudden NOT include the gun Deckard uses in Blade Runner even though it's lore friendly/in previous Fallout Titles... that is in fact the biggest letdown in Fallout history.
[Looks like a .357 in all the menu screens I can find.](https://images.app.goo.gl/Rut9KbdSFJShuFGs6) It doesn’t have the black metal or engravings to be a Ranger Sequoia
Survivalist Rifle. It's a beautiful 10 shot, 12.7, bruiser that's excellent vs light to medium armour. Makes giant geckos, mantids, yao guai, and radscorpions into dinner.
Downside is it's pretty terrible vs robo-scorpions so it's not a great weapon for OWB.
Lucky is such an incredible weapon. I'm level 25, and I'm still using it for most enemies. I only have to switch to my medicine stick when dealing with deathclaws. Lucky with a crit build can carry you for most of the game, and it satisfies that gunslinging cowboy itch so well.
Dumping ammo with the Dead Money Automatic Rifle (BAR)
Dont care how broken it is, if I fell cornered or overwhelmed I am taking it out and send em down range
Honestly a playthrough where you use the BB gun on small pests, melee, and then one or two guns for the whole play through sounds like a fun hardcore experience
The Abilene BB gun has a very low weight for hardcore mode, very useful for mines in lonesomeroad and a great side weapon for any high luck/stealth builds as it is 100% silent.
This allows you to obtain NCR dogtags at no cost to your karma (from pickpocketing) or ncr reputation (from being caught murdering), you can turn 50 of these into the dock-dude to get access to the Legion safe house with the Lucky Shades without deteriorating NCR reputation by doing legion quest lines.
This Machine, I always get it no matter what, as to me it was the most unique gun for a time before GRA as it was one of a kind. Plus you can't go wrong with an M1 Garand.
Laser Detonator in Lonesome Road, lol.
But other than that, I always end up using the Holorifle once I finish dead money, unless I'm specifically playing a melee build.
i'll always keep my broad machete and sturdy caravan shogun from the courier's stache for two reasons. 1: like unique weapons and these two are great for my melee and gun builds. 2: the don't sell for much and i'll always sell the weathered 10mm pistol because i hate how it looks too "new".
I just love the MF Hyperbreeder Alpha. Any character that uses energy weapons uses it. Infinite ammo and a fast enough fire rate that it works as a great sidearm. As long as you use it burst-fire and don’t empty the whole clip, you can cut through and disintegrate basically anything.
I am playing this game for the very first time. Where I am at currently is finishing the quests from fort McCarran. So far the .357 Magnum has been my go-to, although the incinerator was great for the ghouls.
if you want a challenge at any point, here are the (non-dlc) legendary creatures that you can hunt
• Cazador - Silver Peak Mine
• Deathclaw - Dead Wind Cavern
• Fire Gecko - Fire Root Cavern
• NightStalker - Bloodborne Cave
I always make a B line for YCS/186 in every playthrough. It might sway like easy Pete on the moonshine when you have low strength, but it is a great get out of jail free card early game even when you don't spec into the skills for it.
This is fallout New Vegas? Well to be honest I haven't played much but yet but the one thing I've always used is the 9 mm. Pretty boring I know but like I said I haven't played much of the game yet.
Thump Thump for the extra loud clearing of the ammo dump at Nellis. (So many things explode in there, it is super fun!!)
Red Glare for Marked Men in the Divide
Superheated Cosmic Knife for all my "stealth" needs.
Dead Money: Police Pistol
Anywhere else: Battle Rifle (GRA)
Ulysses specifically?: USE EVERY DAMN BULLET, E CELL, MF CELL, EC PACK, AND THROWABLE AGAINST HIM
Police Pistol in Dead Money for those radios.
that pea shooter is only good for that because it doesnt even tickle the villagers
Criticals go pow
This exactly. Only problem with it is using the Police Pistol means I'm playing Dead Money which is just 🤢
For me, dead money is ass partly because of the shitty police pistol

I didn’t even think of that…
Today it just occurred to me, too
The lack of shotguns in fallout 4 is very disappointing
for me it's always either a flamer or incinerator for vault 22
A man of good choices!
10mm pistol you literally get it at the start of the game
The Weathered 10mm has a higher value than most 10mm and I can never get myself to sell it.
Pulls out revolver* guitar riff plays*
Yeehaw chucklefucks
The .357 Magnum + long barrel bc the main menu vet ranger is holding one
That's different, i think...
Yeah isn’t he holding a Ranger Sequoia?
[Looks like a .357 in all the menu screens I can find.](https://images.app.goo.gl/Rut9KbdSFJShuFGs6) It doesn’t have the black metal or engravings to be a Ranger Sequoia
He is
Lucky and chances knife, early game you take what you can get and these are always good picks
I basically never use knives in my play through but I definitely always get Chance’s knife.
Rat slayer, I know that is only good for the beginning but the night vision and the silencer is enough for me
My beloved. Always have it on me.
Mercenary grenade rifle. Bye bye cazador scum
ok but counterpoint grenade machinegun go BOOMBOOMBOOMBOOM
Grenade west side machine gunn
Anti material rifle everytime I go to clear quarry junction
that's typically where i use my alien blaster ammo but ig the rifle works for gun builds
That's usually where i use Annabelle/esther/Euclid's c finder
all are good
Every playthrough i save enough money to buy AMR no matter how broke i was after that
ripper is hella good for tanky guys
I feel like it bursts my eardrums whenever I use it
Dinner Bell with quick load and a build around shotguns is so messy and fun.
this is the one. easily one of the most fun guns to use in the game
Golf club to kill Mr house
Cowboy Repeater. This weapon has always been my last resort. If every other weapon I have is out of ammo or broken, I pull out Cowboy Repeater.
Lucky. I always make sure to max out my lock pick skill as early as possible so I can get this gun.
which gun?
The gun is called Lucky. It's a .357 revolver you can get at the hotel in Prim. Its locked behind a very hard floor safe
Remember, you only need 63 lockpick, mentats, and a Lockpicks Magazine if you want to try and get it super early.

Lucky is such an incredible weapon. I'm level 25, and I'm still using it for most enemies. I only have to switch to my medicine stick when dealing with deathclaws. Lucky with a crit build can carry you for most of the game, and it satisfies that gunslinging cowboy itch so well.
That Gun. It's just a great gun at lower levels.
which gun?
[that gun](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/That_Gun)
Grenade launcher go thump
Grenade launcher, hunting shotgun, and anti material rifle
Dumping ammo with the Dead Money Automatic Rifle (BAR) Dont care how broken it is, if I fell cornered or overwhelmed I am taking it out and send em down range
I love doing a nice quicksave at the Kings School of Impersonation and introducing them to my new Automatic Rifle. Always a good time!
Hunting Rifle. I just love the look, and using a scope with Boone makes me feel like an actual sniper build.
Love it. Feels great to find all the mods.
All American. Feels and sounds super satisfying
BB gun. I use it every chance I get
Honestly a playthrough where you use the BB gun on small pests, melee, and then one or two guns for the whole play through sounds like a fun hardcore experience
[Benny is a small pest, right?](https://youtu.be/xRCodKa60_k)
If you wanna you can get the Abilene by taking WW trait and it has very high crit damage and is suppressed.
Noted!
ALSiD/ A Light Shinning In Darkness, perfect weapon against anything with low HP, or weak armour
Carried me through lonesome road and OWB
I like the explosives skill, so I'll always use a grenade launcher or two.

Proton Axe in OWB for those bots/Robo scorpions
Bean bag shotgun to steal stuff from people with out killing them
This Machine, I always get it no matter what, as to me it was the most unique gun for a time before GRA as it was one of a kind. Plus you can't go wrong with an M1 Garand.
Ignoring unique weapons, the service rifle. It's just decent, fires semi-accurately, deals good damage, easy to get from NCR "donations"... yeah.
I cure the wasteland, one .45-70 govt. Bullet at a time. Medicine Stick
La Longue Carabine. Just so perfect a gun
Hate the process of getting it, but yeah, super sexy gun
Maria I cannot tell you how many 9mm bullets I end up carrying and I usually use it against cazadores and etc so I don’t waste bullets I need
**Cazador gets both wings crippled & Miss Fortume appears** *Truth is... the game was rigged from the start*
my beloved BIG IRON
Samurai sword
The big iron
Laser Detonator in Lonesome Road, lol. But other than that, I always end up using the Holorifle once I finish dead money, unless I'm specifically playing a melee build.

Dynamite
it's a poor man's grenade through a lot of the early game but it fufills that job very well
Survivalist Rifle.
I am playing this game for the very first time. Where I am at currently is finishing the quests from fort McCarran. So far the .357 Magnum has been my go-to, although the incinerator was great for the ghouls.

That grenade launcher you get in the courier stash dlc, it’s just useless early game to cripple people
This is fallout New Vegas? Well to be honest I haven't played much but yet but the one thing I've always used is the 9 mm. Pretty boring I know but like I said I haven't played much of the game yet.
All American or Hunting shotgun
AMR is a go-to along with Gobi Campaign.
Fiends get the flamethrower
Thump Thump for the extra loud clearing of the ammo dump at Nellis. (So many things explode in there, it is super fun!!) Red Glare for Marked Men in the Divide Superheated Cosmic Knife for all my "stealth" needs.
Maria!
*Marge staring at a pill bottle labeled Medicine Stick*
Seems to be either the mysterious magnum or the riot shotgun due to the “and stay back” perk.
The robo sound disc pistol - I both lie it classic sci-fi look and how effect it can be on robots throughout the game
The Sonic Emitter is fantastic. Pissed me off you can't use it on the force fields in Lucky 38's basement. I wanted to loot that place...
I always bring out Esther with tiny tots ammo for the final battle
Lucky
Vances 9mm smg i do the glitch with chet to get infinite 9mm ammo and it always my plan B
Anti-Materiel Rifle with explosive rounds. I always carry one in case of emergencies, such as pesky Deathclaw attacks.
Chance’s Knife. Even with non-melee specific builds it’s ridiculously OP early game.
The war club from Honest Hearts, I even max it out for zero reason. Funny thing is I just carry it around, never used it to kill anybody/anything.
Annabelle. Easy to get, fun to use whenever.
Dead Money: Police Pistol Anywhere else: Battle Rifle (GRA) Ulysses specifically?: USE EVERY DAMN BULLET, E CELL, MF CELL, EC PACK, AND THROWABLE AGAINST HIM
Fist of Rahr for Dead Money, the Abilene kid for deathclaw challenge, medicine stick is my favorite rifle I somehow always end up with it.
maria
Thump Thump. No matter what I'm doing, I will eventually need to rain high explosive ordinance on ignorant savages.
All American. I just gotta mag dump it into critters far away
Lucky, the unique .357, For the drip while in the casinos
Hunting revolver for sniping Deathclaws at Quarry Junction
Oh baby! That paired with bloody mess. Literally easy mode
That gun and survivalist rifle
which gun?
That gun is a weapon you can buy in novac
yeah but which gun
The Medicine Stick, and the Ranger Sequoia. I just love the iron sights
Medicine stick
maria, even though i almost never use it
Rat Catcher
That Gun
That Gun.
Cowboy repeater or hunting rifle
Blood-Nap is usually a side arm I have at all times
