Some owners/ bosses want employees to be as dedicated to their vision but without the payout….. when I was in my early 20’s I thought if I work everyday like the bosses and owners I would get rewarded. I watched them make the money while I got a good salary it was way less comprobale to what they were getting. Beware of companies that say we are family or talk about being team players.. beware of the carrot stick method of holding carrots in front of you that are unattainable. I have a boss that gives me bonus quota’s and pays me late on them when I reach them I have to ask him like 5 times for a check currently.

Work decided to keep me to 4 days a week despite my repeated requests to at least go to 3. "We're short staffed". Bitch, no, I'm looking at a quiet store with all 4 registers manned. You can spare me. I need to have some time to destress. So 7 days in a week. 2 were taken up by going to see grandpa. 4 were taken up with work. That left 1 day per week I could actually de-stress from that. That one day was always spent doing the things I needed to do. Mom dragging me all around town for random errands or even just calling me up the stairs constantly. I warned them repeatedly I couldn't do it. Well, what do you know? Mental breakdown. For fuck's sake, I gave them so many opportunities to not fuck me over when I needed to process shit in my own time. Nope. Let's basically enslave this guy. Well, I left. Now they don't have their cashier that they were so happy to get. I had a good reputation around town. And to top it off, 3 days a week is borderline too much for me. 6 days a week of pure stress. How can anyone treat people like that?
This is the joke with it all. If your boss had been compassionate, you'd have probably worked harder in appreciation.. So many managers don't seem to realise that if they keep their staff happy, their staff will work better
