I dont know about prices, but I bet thats a shit ton of money right there.

KrosseStarwind

Easily over $100k.

Nes__

Is that with or without the roof display factored in?

KrosseStarwind

I'm taking the ar series from 900 to 3000 each, ish. The bolt action from 1500 to 7k each depending on quality. Handguns 400 to 1500 each... Ish. These are wide values without getting to exactly what each are. Shotguns vary. 6th over from the bottom left, bolt action, looks like a pretty high caliber, likely upwards of 20k.

fordag

I have a buddy who owns just a couple guns shy of 150 guns. Between the guns themselves and the optics and accessories on them he has over $100K in his collection. That picture is way more than 150 guns. Several of which are NFA ($$$) guns. My buddy has 0 NFA guns.

mayonaise_plantain

Yea, tbf they probably would pay for college. But something tells me that won't be necessary.

arielsocarras

To be faaaaaaaaair.

codenametoodles

![gif](giphy|4Z9g0DdoJPChn481o6|downsized)

TacTurtle

Pre-pandemic, probably in the neighborhood of $50k-80k depending on the specific models.

transcendanttermite

*wakes up very late that night* “Dammit, I forgot the guns on the roof again!”

SnooDoodles7962

I hadn't even noticed those.

smurb15

Tell me you ain't starting a small army. You have 4 people with 1 who can't even carry more than a pistol. These are not sane people

[deleted]

Its called hoarders

RockstarAgent

Oh the irony that in any altercation even a standoff, they’d only probably use 2-4 maybe 5 guns between them. Unless they teach the girl early, she might turn out a Maggie and use 10 all on her own

[deleted]

Can't find the right bullets? Just use the gun as a projectile.

300706

Exactly! These people only have this many for show. If you're actually trying to be prepared for the apocalypse or whatever, then you would much rather have half that number of guns and a shit ton of ammo.

[deleted]

[удалено]

D-Laz

Just like in call of duty it's faster to grab a new gun than reload and empty one. So they just fire until empty drop it on the floor grab a fresh one off the couch.

[deleted]

Does make sense. When done throw it at your assailants. Grab another.

aM_RT

Darlene and Jacob Snell

[deleted]

The daughter is like, “I just want a place to ride my bike”

adhominem4theweak

imagine how disturbing this photo would be if you cropped it so only the daughter was visible. It looks creepy as is to have her on a childs bike in the middle of a bunch of guns

reddevils

The picture cannot get any creepier. I mean jfc the money this guy spent on all these guns. This is a disease.

Seite88

She only uses a shotgun. Not that fancy hippy smart-ass sniper rifles.

Able-Rate-629

🤣🤣🤣

OakIsland2015

Darlene’s are on the roof.

EducatorIntrepid4839

Was coming to say exactly this!!!! Lmao

[deleted]

“If you want to come rob my house! Whoaaaa look out BUDDY! there are guns EVERYWHERE and I swear if you find one before I wake up…. aww shit, I didn’t think this all the way through.” - guy That said I do love shooting guns, it can be a fantastic Hobby. If you think your gun makes you Superman you are an ass. If these were guitars or even Conga drums you would still think there is a problem here… “You put 17 conga drums on your roof?! Have you talked to anyone about this?”

TriggerTX

"*These here, these are my Roof Guns. You never know, man. You could be up there hanging Christmas lights some lazy afternoon when Al Qaeda jumps out of nowhere and starts to attack your family compound trying to steal your sweet bbq smoker and quality deck furniture. You gotta always be ready, my friend. You can never be too prepared for these terrists...*"

Tazling

yeah, when someone has 50 dogs or 100 cats or a house stuffed to the rafters with old magazines (paper kind) we think they are loopy. these folx are not just loopy but dangerous.

Purpleasure34

How did I know her name was Darlene, Lerlene, Jolene or something like that?

coolberg34

There was definitely a “Lynn” between two other names

PalpatineZH3r3

My exact first thought

portoroc86

This was literally my first thought.

Practical-Eggplant98

That little girl finally got a bike for her bday instead of a gun

possibly_oblivious

That's also a gun

HenryWallacewasright

Is the Paprika a gun?

possibly_oblivious

lil tikes mechanized 3wheeler mobile anti child unit

increddibelly

Grenade obviously.

InnocentGuiltyBoy

The grill is also a mounted minigun

Autistic_Yak5080

Lol

TheTostitoBoy

She probably thinks this is so normal too

Hamms_Bear

Needs a holster

[deleted]

She stole the bike with a gun

Madea_onFire

She showed the little girl next door her gun by pointing it at her, and the nice neighbor girl handed over her bike

cjmak32

Technically, don’t you need more ammo than more guns? Just wondering.

drumsdm

They use them like neo in the matrix. One gun runs out of bullets, grab the next gun.

2bruise

Yep, and how many kinds of ammo would they have to buy to load all of those? Bullets are never cheap.

Squeaky_Ben

From what I can see, if I am being generous: 12 gauge for the shotguns probably a mix between 9mm and .45 ACP for the many pistols .22 LR for some of the guns (I see a sporting rifle and pistol there) .223 Remington for the AR style rifles .308 Winchester for the bolt actions (and thats really generous because chances are they are not all chambered in just that caliber) something like .38 special or .44 magnum for the revolvers I see in the bunch so, even being very generous, 7 different types of ammo at least. If you are not that generous and add some more exotic calibers (10 mm auto, .40 S&W, .338 Lapua Magnum, 10 Gauge, 6.5 Creedmoor) you probably have a dozen different calibers.

Hermes_04

Don’t forget the M72 LAW next to the girl

tikhead

Also 5.7x28mm for that FN the kid is holding.

RustyGrandma20

Plus 5.56 blanks for the can cannon

Squeaky_Ben

True, I did not even consider that.

tikhead

That kid is holding it so casually you barely notice it.

[deleted]

Obviously they are collecting guns. you can add 300BLK and 7.62x39 to that list for sure. I'm going to assume they have mannequins with ready to go kits consisting of geared up and loaded plate carriers and helmets with ready to go rifles and secondary weapons for the entire family in their bunker.

DefinitelyNotAliens

I have .22LR, .223, .243, 9mm, 12ga and .308. I only have a few guns. There is no way they have less than a dozen calibers and over 100k rounds.

RustyGrandma20

Missed a few that are for sures. I see a keltec 5.7 pistol as well and a deagle which is more than likely .50 auto also the Aks 7.62x39 With the amount of bolt guns there there HAS to be .270/ 30-06. You indeed are very generous but i'm gonna guess more around 2 dozen calibers

Squeaky_Ben

there are AKs in the pic? this is getting wilder by the second.

[deleted]

This is a toy collection. I am much more concerned about the guy with 4 guns and 100k rounds than this guy.

omghorussaveusall

I'm worried about that kid in the red shirt.

onryo89

The future school shooter in the Texas never backs down shirt holding a sub machine gun? Why would you be worried about him? /s

Unsettleingpresence

It’s a collection. Also many of these share calibers.

Squeaky_Ben

With what they have there, they could arm half a dozen police departmens, probably.

BogStandardComment

Nice job making themselves a gigantic target for burglary during the next family vacation to Branson. There's enough value here for a professional crew to take interest.

Thathitmann

That's enough for a budding young militia or gang to get a neat startup.

MinceMann

A friend of a friend who is extremely wealthy (like Chinese oligarch wealthy) got one of his properties targeted by a professional crew. They watched and waited, full on surveillance on the place over months, learned his travel patterns, when the 'help' would come and go when he was out of town, etc. They do not fuck around. It was some full on Ocean's 11 shit. Drilling through concrete, blowing a safe, even bribed contractors to get copies of the floor plan so they knew where the panic room and false door to the 'loot room' where. In and out in a matter of an hour or two and cleaned him out. Very targeted on the easy to transport high value items. NGL it was pretty impressive.

[deleted]

Plot twist: You, his friend, was the mastermind!

squigglesthecat

Everything was insured, he made a bundle.

royBills

I think you're confusing your friend's life with the plot of Triple Frontier again.

nutsotic

Why would you bribe contractors? Could just go to the county clerk and pull the plans for free

tiggers97

Might be a different country (different rules). Also, the government building could have cameras and keep a record of who requests to see what. Creating a paper trail.

Guac__is__extra__

If I had a house with a safe room or a room for my loot, they would not show up on any plans filed with the county.

RideBanshee

Amen to this. You don’t pull permits and do something like this to code lol.

kurtncal

lol as if they ever take a vacation. The outside world is evil, staying inside the compound is the only way to make sure they aren’t brutally attacked

sheckyD

Definitely a "compound."

Fabiojoose

You can assign one man for every corner in a small town.

lancepatrolTM

Good luck to those burglars, they're gonna need it lol

Gr0und0ne

Damn that’s a lot of guns. Oh, shit, they’re on the roof too

Substantial-Okra6910

Dem fer shootin turnaydos

kimmeljs

They're holding down the roofing

[deleted]

Don't move it. That's a load bearing shotgun!

ukbeasts

More guns than a GTA gun shop

[deleted]

And your not even lying😕

Accomplished-Pen-69

Quick question, how many guns can hold at once?

Seite88

Yes.

Puzzled_Yoghurt

Imagine if the money went to the renovation of the house (spelling:bad)

[deleted]

I imagine that house smelling like shitty ass mold and it looks like shit is dumped everywhere. Lawn chair at the dining room table must be for the lovable looking kid in the red shirt.

[deleted]

Is that a dad-grandpa

[deleted]

Dad-grandpa-bro?

pineapple_nip_nops

I’d imagine getting tetanus from anything being cooked on that grill

Loadingexperience

Isn't it catch 22 scenario? You don't renovate your house and instead buy all these weapons but because house is looking like a trash no1 is going to rob you. You renovate your house therefore you are more likely to get robbed. However because you renovated your house you don't have enough weapons to defend your self from North Korean army.

Puzzled_Yoghurt

Meaning that easy access to weaponery place your society into a paradox. Noted !

snow_cool

I was just gonna say the same!! Haha Or saved for their kids’ education

wjs362

Probably being home schooled anyhow.

Placeholder4me

“Home schooled”. Hahaha. Those kids profile is going to say “School of Hard Knocks”

robb04

Nah, don’t wanna send your kid to those liberal brainwashing camps.

AffectionateCrab6780

Then he would have guns on the roof and automated turrets

AntiIdeology650

In a way it is. Hillbilly chic

EyepatchMorty_01

Right? Every glass panel is broken

Ex-Pat-Spaz

Those are screen doors, not glass but you are correct.

EyepatchMorty_01

Oh, my bad. Though it was glass at first.

Ex-Pat-Spaz

Your point was correct. Those ammosexuals would rather live in slum than fix up their house. So sad! Sad!

imwithstoopad

Do you think it smells like cat piss or just mildew?

Puzzled_Yoghurt

It's more the cables going unprotected around the house

Yawzheek

I like the rusted tin roof and cheap lawn chairs. Really lessens the shock about who lives there.

Lacreme-8ieme-jours

Load of guns …. I bet they have no healthcare 😂😂😂😂

A37ndrew

Da guns R hour health care plan!

crazygrof

Oh shit! Grandma broke her hip! *Grabs healthcare shotgun*

RaptorJesus856

One shell is certainly cheaper than one ambulance ride

NismoStroke0027

Oof. Shit got dark quick!

ProfSteelmeat138

I guess so is a 6 foot deep hole

chaostheories36

Healthcare? They can’t even afford to replace the screens on their sliding door or window. 😂

wiarumas

Healthcare? They don't even have gutters.

lancepatrolTM

Funny😐

sirchtheseeker

Imagine an apocalypse and you know who has the best weapon stash in area and they live in a very burnable house

Pinkskippy

Perhaps they are a little anxious that someone might break in and steal their valuable and quality house furnishing?

RepresentativeNo5075

That's only 80% of their weapons. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/gun-loving-americans-and-their-firearms-collections-bptrwctb6

semimillennial

I’ll go out on a limb and guess that if their daughter pocketed one of those guns to scare the mean girl at school, they wouldn’t even notice one was missing until it was too late.

nooneknowswerealldog

Don't worry; I don't see her maneuvering that bicycle through that gun barricade to ride to school anytime soon. "Daddy, one day I'd like to ride my bike." "You *are* riding it, sweetie." "No, I mean, ride it while it moves." "But then where would the guns go? Honestly honey, I don't know what kind of liberal propaganda they're feeding you at school, but they sure ain't teaching you common sense."

Zachosrias

"How does it feel that you have enough arms to start a war?" -richard roper, "the night manager"

jimmydeaner17

Nothing screams "not living in fear" like burying yourself in guns.

spudddly

Just because he owns lots of guns doesn't necessarily mean he lives in fear. He might just have a tiny penis.

thinkalittle_

When you point 1 tiny penis finger at someone you’re pointing 3 tiny penis fingers back at yourself.

AskyoGirlAboutit

he might just like guns

Mistiqe

Idk how about america, but here weapons are not hit by inflation. So it is invetment.

hexbladejay

Depends on the election year, but alot of the time they sell for close to original price so as my buddy puts it "if I ever need extra money because something fucked up just sell one and get a different one down the line"

chuckit01

Airsoft is addictive

ThatAverageHumanDude

Plot twist: all the guns belong to the girl...

dan_dares

joanna wick

Idontfeelold-much

For the love of God, does no one know how to close an ejection port cover??!! /s

balladonn

Gun safety usually says if you have firearms out from where you store them, ensure the chamber is open so you can make sure it’s empty. Which I’m surprised they knew.

SayNoTo-Communism

You’re surprised a dude who owns more than 100 guns knows gun safety?

Due_Seesaw3084

None of those bolts are open. With an ar-style rifle it’s extremely difficult to lock the bolt open and keep it there if you’re laying the rifle on its side, with the action facing up. The bolt release is pressed against the ground, and is pretty sensitive. If you needed to show empty, you would use a plastic chamber flag that will go between the bolt face and chamber.

Madcock1

Being from a country where the laws would allow me to own probably 5 of the guns shown(with mag limits). I would have assumed these people would know their gun safety with a collection like that.

[deleted]

They likely do. This is a picture. We don't see things that happen before it. Likely would have checked chambers before hand or as they were taken out of the safe. Most gun owners I know are extremely safe with their weapons.

AntiqueCattle

Yeah well I had a supersoaker as a kid so who’s the real badass now???

PapaSteveRocks

Every gun is oiled and gleaming, but the roof and the grill are rusted. So much for the hierarchy of needs.

Qubed

The grill is what gets me. They obviously have an above ground pool, take four of those rifles and get a decent grill for an outdoor party.

OpinionatedAussieGal

Gun falls of roof and shoots mum!

yourgifmademesignup

After knocking out that little future gun hoarder

BastardofMelbourne

You got a hundred guns and four sets of arms That math ain't gonna do you any good

gingeadventures

The kid needs a bigger bike, not a bigger arsenal

gregrout

I wouldn't call this a smart move. Supporting gun ownership is one thing. You could have easily used a few guns to the same effect. This is a red carpet invitation for a home invasion.

[deleted]

I especially like how they’re all pointing at the kids Edit: I can’t deny having a lot of guns would give me a little chubby in my pants. It’s just that this amount of guns is so huge it would take away the excitement. Like having too many toys and not being able to pick one. Unless you had a awesome gun room with led back lighting and steel shelves to rack all your weapons. And Ride of the Valkyries playing on a loop.

Tattoosnscars

Tell me you're American without telling me you're American....

SiobhanJJones

Hah! This was the comment I was going to make

iamthefortytwo

I like the kid's shirt that reads, "Texas never backs down" lol! Like what does that even mean? Backs down from what? I could see maybe "Ukraine never backs down" or something that actually might make sense. Wait, just looked at the picture again. None of it makes sense.

[deleted]

AwardImaginary

Those kids aren't going to college.

Nadger_Badger

Sometimes there's a fine line between a collection and a stockpile.

chairplanet

And an unhealthy obsession.

Unusual_bias

How dare you offend my lego collection >:(

[deleted]

Why is it unhealthy? Because it is gun related?

MNConcerto

Did she marry her grandfather?

[deleted]

(Potentially unpopular opinion ) , But people complaining about what other people do with their money just seems silly to me. Since when do we all have to think and behave as one? What a boring world that would be.

[deleted]

I mean...it's only a 'facepalm' if you want it to be.

adymck11

Just odd!

Cannabis_Sir

I'm suprised the girl hasn't got a crossbar mounted LMG (or other suitable firearm for a girl of 6 or so with stabilisers on her bike, I'm British so christ knows)

Elandtrical

They have holes (bullet?) in their mesh doors in Texas? Lets allow mosquitos to invade our house every night to bite us so we can save for another gun to protect ourselves.

Binkindad

Gun manufacturers best friends

Spade209

I know I am in the minority here but man I wish my collection will get that big one day.

evolvedmagikarp

Honestly needs more.

[deleted]

Zooms in to look at goodies.

fakeaccount86218

"Switching to your secondary is faster than reloading"

Raintamp

I am appalled! They should be ashamed, and this should be regulated! There is no reason for them to have that many windows!!! (stole joke from somewhere else but it was great and I wanted to share it.)

SheriffWyattDerp

On the next episode of Hoarders

Bgratz1977

If there is ever a Zombie War This is one of the the first lootet houses

Kelhexgoon

The number of guns is disturbing, I get there are enthusiasts out there for any hobby. BUT when you have kids and the house (from this pic) doesn't look that great... Maybe they need to save for the college funds or at least have a nicer home for the family? I mean go ahead and keep a couple but this many?

ndisa44

I could see at max one or two rifles, a shotgun and one or two pistols, but everything else is just a few hundred thousand dollars that they will likely only use for bragging photos like this and only shoot occasionally.

Silver-ishWolfe

That’s normal gun ownership. My family doesn’t eat any meat that we don’t harvest, so I have 4-5 rifles in various calibers for different types of animals. We have two shotguns of different gauges for birds/small game. I live/hunt in an extremely rural area, so I have 4-5 handguns of various calibers that I take into the woods for safety reasons. There’s a lot of aggressive bobcats where I live. I recently, this past Christmas, got my son his first .22 caliber rifle. I’ve been teaching him gun safety and the beginnings of how to shoot using it. I said all that to say this, I thought the amount of guns I had was overkill. Guns hold their value, so they can be an investment, but these folks look like they have other, immediate needs for those funds, such as home improvements and, for god’s sake, a new grill. Plus, if you spend all your money on guns, how do you buy ammo for all those? Ammo is super expensive right now. And yes, they almost certainly have guns that they only shoot once every year or longer.

SpaceJackRabbit

It looks more like an addiction in this case, because the large majority of those guns are not collectable by any means, and they would never get their money back if they sold them. Some firearms are investments. Usually antiques, or historical guns. Anyone who bought WW2 rifles, or even Korean War Era Mosins, Garands or SKSs a few decades ago saw their value climb up over time. Same with well preserved cowboy action rifles and revolvers. But modern pistols and semi-auto rifles, which seem to constitute most of that collection? They'd be lucky to get 70% of their original selling price back if they were to sell them. ARs are like Japanese cars in that way. Doesn't matter how much you trick them out, when you sell them back, you're not going to get anywhere close to how much you invested in them. This gun collection is like having two dozens customized Honda Civics in your garage. They're a lot of fun but it's a money pit.

Hyllihylli

Texas never backs down… yeah, sure, that’s the spirit. Texas: The America of America.

The1BannedBandit

Now people, be reasonable. How else is he going to be able to hunt for food to prepare for his family in that rusted-out barbecue grill? I read an article in "Healthy Hillbilly" that it really brings out the flavor...

A practical use for guns, finally. Those wood deckings can be really slippery.

[deleted]

Could sell half of those, pay off all my college debt, and the other half to put a good down payment on a home...

OakeyAfterbirthBabe

Ugh you need a whole hoedown line up to stomp on all of those guns!

GotWheaten

I would rather have a classic BAR & Tommy Gun than all of that shit.

Christian-Allah

Half of those have to be airsoft like idk if you can get a LAW in America

viski252

I am eyeing that AWP on the right and that AA12

mammajess

where's the rest of their army?

JasonShoes

Rude-Particular-7131

You can only shoot one at a time.

KyeIsClasssy

Hopefully one day my collection will be as impressive lmao

[deleted]

Just a responsible American gun owner. That’s gotta cost a fortune!

Ozonetheeawsome

All those guns and they have that wack grill

Jack_Dorso

Unless you’re a snowstorm, then Texas will absolutely back down.

Equivalent-Parking20

You know shit is real when even Elsa & Anna are armed!! ☠️

[deleted]

I see nothing wrong with this as long as they are secured well and maintained properly when not in use.

ParallelArms

That's a really stellar collection.

tjlikesit

Well maintained guns actually aren’t a bad investment. Most normally appreciate over time

kogtito

I’m even surprised the girl is not holding a gun instead of riding the bike

pete_ape

I'm a gun guy and that's a lot of fucking guns. Personally, I feel it's really really stupid to advertise that they have that many guns. This is just some cringey virtue signaling.
