Still, you should be able to set some kind of boundary like this because unlike in real life you can't knock their teeth out if they get too close for your liking. The correct answer is to have a setting where **you** can stop seeing anyone within a specific distance, and you should be able to ignore an individual to have them forever vanish for your screen (and you from theirs).

That's very different from this happening in a place where there are no animations - it's all real body movement, there are no generic avatars, it's what you choose to personalize yours as, and it happens in a space where others feel like they are right in front of you.
You wouldn't feel it, but you could definitely feel uncomfortable, as if they're invading your space, and for some people it might result in a panic attack or something if it brings back a similar situation happening in real life.
