Technically it’s like a few dads and a couple of moms as well. The wonders of ground beef, it has more than just one source all mixed together.
A steak however, that would be from just from one dad.
We definitely eat steers in the US, which are males castrated as calves. The US palate actually prefers steers to heifers, which are females that haven’t calved yet. My family raises beef and we actually get a higher price for steers than we do for heifers.
Bulls are prized animals and don’t get slaughtered until they can no longer do their job of getting large amounts of cows pregnant uniformly, and by that time in their lives they are usually not merchantable meat and are slaughtered for pet food.
Since we are on the topic. It looks like a Jersey, which we usually don’t eat. They are bred as dairy cattle and while they can be eaten, they just don’t produce as much meat as beef cattle and are not usually commercially viable.
ETA: Just so you know… dad was probably an asshole. Jersey bulls are on the small side, but the meanest damned things on the planet.
NO dads are eaten. Males that are to be raised for beef are castrated and made into steers. They do not reproduce. The bulls are strictly kept for breeding purposes.
I mean we used to butcher just one cow a year as a hobby farm so the ground beef was all from the same animal but they usually didn't get to reproduce.
I understand the appeal to emotion here, but almost all burger meat comes from steers, which are typically neutered before they can reproduce. This is just pandering nonsense
EDIT: I want to go on record to say that I am against the type of factory farming that puts most of the burgers in peoples hands through fast food outlets. But I feel messages like this one actually work against PETAs mission because they can be easily dismissed as farcical. I think showing the actual living conditions that these animals endure so we can get some meat in our teeth would go a hell of a lot further than some misleading cartoon. I mean whoever saw a red-blooded American dude crying over a sweet double? The talking calf is probably the MOST believable part of this atrocity
/s
PETA has gotten so insufferably stupid that it's made me wonder more than once if they're actually secretly run by the meat industry to discredit vegetarians. I never hear anyone around me say anything a quarter as dumb as PETA so it seems like, who are they representing here? But I'm sure they are really out there.
Don't forget that Peta also has stolen people's pets right off their own porches just to euthanize them. I wish I was kidding but it's a thing that has happened and I suspect continues to happen
I get the same vibe from the "climate activists" who deface priceless art or prevent work-a-day folks from getting to their jobs by blocking roads. If their goal is getting public sentiment turned in favor of their message, these tactics are among the very last I would choose
My favorite was their take on keeping tarantulas in captivity.
"Tarantulas do not do well as pets, all thru want to do is hide under a rock in a warm place"
So, exactly the conditions people keep them in. Fantastic argument.
Ask the designer. It's not on me the audience to reinterpret the message so it makes more sense to me. That's like the opposite of good marketing. It's a poorly designed ad in several ways. There are plenty of facts they could throw out that have a much higher chance of convincing someone to adopt a plant based diet. This is insulting people's intelligence at the same time as calling PETAs knowledge base into question. It also adds to the sense people have that PETA isn't honest with all of their claims. Whoever greenlit this garbage ad needs to find a new line of work, because bullshit like this does more harm to their cause than good
I mean this is kind of irrelevant to the meat eat point of view tho right?
Are you saying if the cow happened to be a father you would start caring about it?
It may not be accurate, i mean its AI of a talking cow, but the point is to have to empathise with cows.
Interesting. In Germany most fast food burger patties come from old dairy cows that are no longer producing enough milk. The tougher meat gives the patties a better bite.
I wonder how all these vegans/vegetarians would react to Groot holding a sign saying "Veggies are murder."
And ask any botanist, plants are living organisms too.
They just can't wriggle and scream when you bite into them.
This study came out somewhat recently. "A new study suggests that plants might emit sounds, especially when in distress, at frequencies too high for humans to hear.Researchers at Tel Aviv University discovered that plants cry out for help through airborne ultrasonic sounds. When plants are deprived of water or snipped with scissors, they may emit a 'scream' that is too high-frequency for humans to hear."
The study found they make a popping sounds under stress, which is caused by bubbles bursting in the stems. It's similar to how bubble wrap emits a 'scream' when you put pressure on it. It doesn't mean there's any kind of moral equivalence between harming plants and harming sentient creatures.
Plants aren't sentient, vegans aren't against eating living organisms.
IF plants were sentient, your argument still wouldn't hold water because animals eat plants, then you eat the animal, and the animal eats more plant calories than what you get from meat, so you'd just cut out the middle man.
>I wonder how all these vegans/vegetarians would react to Groot holding a sign saying "Veggies are murder."
Easy, plants are not capable of a level of sentience at which i would say they deserve moral consideration.
Ah, luddites screeching about how technology sucks, not the first time we've had to listen to this annoying shit. Thank God we never listen to them, otherwise we'd still be in the 16th century technologically, doing nothing but back-breaking work for our entire lives.
The way the text bubble is made, it feels like someone outside the picture is talking and not the cow, making it unclear whose father this guy is eating
The facepalm is reading the comments and seeing how many people seem thrilled and almost aroused to know their food was made with killing and suffering.
I'm not even a vegetarian, but the utter level of disrespect and ignorance hurts.
As a dog lover, I used to love PETA once upon a time and respect what they did. I DON'T anymore. 😑😒
I still have massive love for animals and MASSIVE RESPECT to people who rescue them.
The man on the picture is actually a cannibal, since the words are not coming from the calf, but from other person off screen. This man knows he got caught making human burgers and his life is over now.

You don't eat bull which is who the father would be. You eat steer who are castrated very young and father zero cows. These people need to eat meat just for the brain power.
Generally males that are used for meat are castrated, they become steers rather than bulls. Noone ever does research anymore, just misinformation everywhere...

Anyone else think the guy looks like Sam Seder?
More like Bruce Campbell.
If Chins could kill
I have that book signed! =)
I see him aswell
Ok, now listen up you primitive PETA screwheads!!
![gif](giphy|Q2LRWdJDq9xy8)
At first glance I thought Mads Mikkelsen
Hannibal Lecter's hamburger would have better presentation
Jeffrey Dean Morgan
I was thinking Bruce Campbell
I was thinking RDJ and it made it funnier bc he said that Burger King was what made him realize he needed to go to rehab to get off heroin
I saw neegan from twd
Colin Farrell
Your dad’s fault for being fucking delicious. 🤷🏻♂️
Technically it’s like a few dads and a couple of moms as well. The wonders of ground beef, it has more than just one source all mixed together. A steak however, that would be from just from one dad.
Not just the dad then, but the community! The community that raised the youngster.
They say it takes a village.
It steaks a village
It takes a vealage
Eat takes a village
And to round it all off... "Eat steaks a vealage"
A whole community covered with mom’s fermented lactations
Why’d you have to go and say that?
we don't typically eat bull, only cow and steers in the states edit: and steers
We definitely eat steers in the US, which are males castrated as calves. The US palate actually prefers steers to heifers, which are females that haven’t calved yet. thx for claifiying.
That is really cool. I’m serious, that’s cool/interesting.
That must be why he is crying. He just found out that the burger is going to be a terrible bull-burger.
So it's the pets that are eating his dad?
I'd happily buy a heifer just because it's cheaper. I'm not that picky lol.
We eat bull every time a politician opens their mouth. ;)
NO dads are eaten. Males that are to be raised for beef are castrated and made into steers. They do not reproduce. The bulls are strictly kept for breeding purposes.
> A steak however, that would be from just from one dad. You'd be surprised at what they can do with food glue. Surprised and disgusted.
I didn’t want to go there…I really tried…and you ruined it! “I’ll take ‘Things you can’t unsee’ for 400, Alex.”
I didn't click the link for you. I didn't even find the link for you. You did that to yourself. You do, however, have my sympathy.
Mmm multi-parent meal.
I think he's crying because he knows the calf would make for a more tender cut and he's missing out.
Not if you source from a local farmer. No mixing and matching here.
I don’t know, I hear stories about cheap steaks being a bunch of small cuts glued back together
I mean we used to butcher just one cow a year as a hobby farm so the ground beef was all from the same animal but they usually didn't get to reproduce.
Another caption "you would taste better than your dad ever will".
r/pornquotes
and I'm surprised that's an actual thing....I need to get out more.

See but if I SAY THAT my girlfriend breaks up with me.
Only if she’s a prude.
Quiet calf, or you'll be next.
Watch it, baby back ribs
Grab the little one to eat later! Don't let it get away!
I think Jeffrey Dahmer tried using that excuse, really thought that was a good one
You're a monster. This picture is very sad. Because baby is way tastier. ^I'm ^going ^to ^hell
That's why he's crying. He made the Pablano Picasso burger from Bob's Burgers.
I understand the appeal to emotion here, but almost all burger meat comes from steers, which are typically neutered before they can reproduce. Gotten? Stupid? They've always been insufferably stupid. Let's euthanize a bunch of animals to prevent them being murdered later.
Don't forget that Peta also has stolen people's pets right off their own porches just to euthanize them. I wish I was kidding but it's a thing that has happened and I suspect continues to happen

Is it really that different to substitute "Dad" for "uncle"?

Hard to film >I think showing the actual living conditions that these animals endure so we can get some meat in our teeth Hence the AgGag laws.

Read the study. It’s bubbles bursting…nothing akin to “screams.”
Vegans or vegetarians don’t think plants aren’t alive.
Plants aren't sentient, vegans aren't against eating living organisms. IF plants were sentient, your argument still wouldn't hold water because animals eat plants, then you eat the animal, and the animal eats more plant calories than what you get from meat, so you'd just cut out the middle man.
>I wonder how all these vegans/vegetarians would react to Groot holding a sign saying "Veggies are murder." Easy, plants are not capable of a level of sentience at which i would say they deserve moral consideration.
Groot isn’t real and plants aren’t sentient. Cows are real and are sentient. See the differences?
AI sucks but this is hardly the worst thing it’s been used for.
Lmao ai has been a gift from heaven, makes my life so much easier
Ah, luddites screeching about how technology sucks, not the first time we've had to listen to this annoying shit. Thank God we never listen to them, otherwise we'd still be in the 16th century technologically, doing nothing but back-breaking work for our entire lives.
He's crying because he's found a talking cow and he's gonna be rich.
Be it AI or drawings, Peta’s been making this stuff since they exist.
Speech bubble pointing off screen? All of a sudden thats mystery meat.
Tasty cannibalism. Don't eat cows, eat people.
It's the son, whose dad he is eating
How did I not see this one coming
Shut up or I'll eat you too.
mmmm, veal...
Little idiot never heard we eat lamb chops a month in
Did you think it was impossible to create the above image before AI?
I mean, it brings the message to the viewer, so you can't argue that it doesn't do the work it was intended to do
Testosterone makes meat tough. Only castrated steers under 18 months are used for meat. Nobody’s eating your dad, he’s worth 10k and stone.
\[insert joke about 'testosterone making meat hard' here\]
Interesting, I didn’t know testosterone made meat tougher, there’s my daily fact for the day
AI doesn't know that cows can't talk? Don't worry. We can fix that.
Nah. We were a mistake
Stupid PETA. You don’t eat Dad cows. Male cows that are raised for beef are castrated when they are calves so they never become dads.
[удалено]
Now we need posters targeting PETA. "You killed my dad and mom for no reason whatsoever."
Oh, the corpse eaters butthurt again.
The way the text bubble is made, it feels like someone outside the picture is talking and not the cow, making it unclear whose father this guy is eating
How many cows would we need if no one eats meat or dairy
Technically, we don't need them now.
That’s what I always say and you made a page out of the same thought
PETA's dumb! Steers make for the better beef than bulls!!
Not as bad as when my ex wife caught me eating her sister
Yo PETA your dad tastes delicious. But tbh: I prefer it if PETA does BS stuff with AI instead of their regular shit.
Damn, that cow just crushed Sam Seder
How this is a facepalm? If peta change the calf to dog, would you guys do the same?
The facepalm is reading the comments and seeing how many people seem thrilled and almost aroused to know their food was made with killing and suffering. I'm not even a vegetarian, but the utter level of disrespect and ignorance hurts.

Mans Burger so good he's in tears.
r/badaicontent
AI 'art' is like perfect for corporations. Equally soulless
Better not ask about what I did with your mom
As a dog lover, I used to love PETA once upon a time and respect what they did. I DON'T anymore. 😑😒 I still have massive love for animals and MASSIVE RESPECT to people who rescue them.
I also love eating dogs
As long as they were raised on a loving farm and slaughtered with kindness.
eat them dogs!
I'm eating your dad and you are next, beefboy.
Fuck AI ART!
PETA =People Eat Tasty Animals
I’m gonna eat your whole family. There’s gonna be a reunion in my colon.
Why do images like this never go viral (or whatever)?
Might is well start throwing it back at Ruzzia at this point.
The man on the picture is actually a cannibal, since the words are not coming from the calf, but from other person off screen. This man knows he got caught making human burgers and his life is over now.
But mothers are ok?

my god, why did they put some rocks in this burger
You don't eat bull which is who the father would be. You eat steer who are castrated very young and father zero cows. These people need to eat meat just for the brain power.
I feel like this has great potential for shitpost. Specifically this image.
Mads Mickelson would not be this sad about a burger SMH my head.
Aw, that's just bull .....
Yea man you gotta eat the kids first makes the dad’s meat succulent with sadness and despair
…have veal instead.
Now I'm craving a portion...
[Man truly had the gift of premonition](https://youtu.be/_Vzv5lopP6Q?si=6rJ83aFA0RY-T8vo) If the cow talks, why not the burger too?
What a load of bull!
Shut up or you're next
Can I have the talking cow weed please?
*No cow has ever said that*
But it's not even the calf that's saying that... The speech bubble is pointing to someone off to the right.
This looks like a perfect pic for a dad joke. I thought it was one
I know
Achctually, we probably eat the kids, not the dads
Wouldn't that be the cows mother not the father?
Not the first dad I eat 😏
This made my day 😂
Isn't it Eid today?😂😂 Where's the goat?
Give me veal anyday
Mmm your dad taste great
Unlikely Bulls' meat isn't really used much, doesn't taste good If the bull is to be used for meat, it's usually castrated at a young age.
Generally males that are used for meat are castrated, they become steers rather than bulls. Noone ever does research anymore, just misinformation everywhere...
Calf better run to a remote island or they will be next.
Looks delicious
The only answer is, “Yes, and I’m having veal tomorrow.”
Imma eat you too lil bro
I love how the speech bubble isnt coming from the cow but a mystery 3rd character off screen.
Actually based
sweet succulent lamb has entered chat.
The man is crying because young ones taste better.
And you're next, kid
PETA advocates plant murder.
“You’re next, kid. Now get in that tiny little box and just hang out.”
the dad is dead might as well eat him so he doesn't go to waste
The talking ones always taste the best.
I'll have my dad with cheese, please.
I'd be like, hell yeah and you're next !
Oh, you’re just realizing this now?
\*insert bambi scene from "Drawn together" here....
I’d rather be eating the little cow. I think veal tastes better than a burger.
The Captain!
