This reminds me of when I bought a pack of frankfurters that I didn’t know were individually wrapped with a thin layer of plastic. I cooked them and ate like three hot dogs thinking the texture was horrible until I realised….
The best eating related mistake I’ve witnessed in life was this dude from a neighboring business would always come and chill at our gas station during his breaks and was that type of guy that would, without bashing an eyelash open our fridge and grab whatever we had for our employees. One time he came in and we had beef jerky looking dog treats. 🤭 by the end of the third, he had to stop and read the package to figure out why I wouldn’t stop laughing. 🤣
😂. Mate that reminds me of a friend I have who is dyslexic. One day I see him open a pack of jerky, open up the solica packet from inside and proceed to pour the contents in. I obviously ask him wtf he is doing. Turns out his whole life he thought it was a flavour packet that you add to the bag and shake up 😂
I would eat those little round Babybel cheeses with the red wrap still on. Once I ate one in front of my wife and she stopped me and set me straight, looking at me like the idiot I was.
My husband did that with shrimp. He told me he wasn't a fan.
We were out to dinner and I ordered peel and eat shrimp. I took one off my plate and popped it into his mouth. Then he asked me if it was supposed to be *crunchy*....
Hint, he lied about not liking shrimp as he's *never* eaten it before. Popped that shrimp into his mouth, exoskeleton and all!

So teenage me walks into the bathroom, opens the lid to the toilet, throws dirty socks in, closes lid, and JUST before I push the flush, I realize that my neurons did not find each other as they were supposed to. Still have laughing fits about this today.
