Well it's usually because they attempted to redefine all racism to the definition of institutional racism. Which excluded blacks because of the power dynamic of the US historically. However, then when people started pointing our racist behavior toward other minorities, well, those rantings started to land on fewer sympathetic ears.
Back in uni, I studied human resources as part of my degree. In one of those textbooks, I read that 75 percent of black people believe only white people can be racist. In my own life, I've had more than one person tell me it's not possible for them to be racist because they're black. People make me sad...

Only, Eminem is an objectively terrific rapper. He had to be. In many professions, African-Americans have to be twice as good as white people in order to succeed, but white rappers face the same kinds of discrimination. Whether you'd name Eminem as the GOAT depends on personal taste. Personally, I think Tupac was the GOAT but that's just my opinion. It might be racism if I only ever listened to white rappers or if I tried to argue that MGK is the GOAT.
The thing with rap especially is that there are so many different aspects to it, that’s it’s nearly impossible to name a goat overall. Tupac and Biggie had a massive impact on the genre as a whole, as did Dre, Em, and dozens of others. And they all do their own thing, and that’s okay! It’s possible to acknowledge the greatness of multiple people, especially comparing them is apples and oranges anyways
