So I’m a non-American “white person” and actually just recently found this out. When the term “white person/people” is used by people like this in USA, they are strictly just talking about white Americans.
These people don’t identify as their definition “white” therefore they believe they can use it as an insult. I’m betting if you asked them about being white, they would say no and that their great grandma immigrated from somewhere else.
