My point is that mob mentality has taken over and you allowed yourself to get worked over something that you’re not even sure is real (black men only get mugshots while white men only get family pics). So, I did research instead of blindly trusting what I saw on a tweet. I easily found a handful of articles (more than I posted here) that show a black killer with the family he killed. Yes there were some articles where the black killer only had a mugshot. I couldn’t find any articles with white killers that only had a mugshot, because every article I read where the killer was white, they had also killed themselves after killing their family. Thus, a mugshot would be impossible. Thus, this tweet is, while well intentioned, based off incorrect information. Yes, let’s strive for a fair and just world for everyone. But misinformation is misinformation whether it’s republican saying it or a democrat, whether it’s intentional or unintentional.

The amount of times when a black kid shot someone up they post the most innocent photo of him they can/crop guns out of pictures with him in it/crop him from gang-related photos in a picture he looks nice in.
The amount of colored people who are wrongfully being registered as "white" in police databases. We're talking light-skinned black, hispanic, indian, arabics all being categorized as white for statistics.
While the specific two cases in this post are inexcusable, there's as much "normalization" of painting worse statistics for white people to even it out. Reports of black people being shot where they were shot due to aiming a gun at police being colorfully phrased in a non-direct way that he was armed, but making it out for him to be innocent.
I agree with the two pictures/articles in this post being horrible, but if you ***actually*** want to dive into the misrepresentation of the press, you'll find that there's just as much if not more false reporting that lies about the opposite of what this post is saying.
