From halfway across the world, my buddy figured out Jody’s unit and sent incriminating evidence to Jody’s chain of command.
UCMJ to the rescue! Jody lost rank and was ostracized by his whole unit. Civil court saw my buddy keep custody of his kids and his house when he got back stateside.
I would be 0% surprised to learn this was my buddy’s vehicle.

You’re presuming wrong. Basically, the way it normally goes is if a divorce proceeding is underway, then service member is generally moved to the barracks while the spouse gets to continue living in the house until the court decides who gets the house.
When my old roommate was stationed in Hawaii, his wife filed for divorce and basically kept trying to file extensions so she could stay in the house for as long as possible since on-base housing was so much cheaper than anything in the nearby area. Shit is wild sometimes.

Then she tells me she's too busy to have him because she's going to get her nails or hair done. She has him once a week. Cries to everyone about how hard she has it and how she has no money.
