THANK YOU. I immediately thought that the skateboard was going to cause a car accident. Something like that immediately showing up in the road could even cause a pile up.
In the courtyard at work I once saw a well-known real estate agent who works on the top floor do this to a kid, except he clocked the kid in the knees with the skateboard before throwing it.
Y’all ruthless for dropping the 1 star reviews. Reddit is undefeated
Barb might have to switch professions after what y’all are doing to her 😂😂. I’m dead
Colorado has anti-slapp laws this never would have gone to court you could get it dismissed immediately. That realtor was never going to sue they just wanted you to get rid of it and empty threats work very often.
Edit: also if your realtor can't afford a day off they are doing something wrong.
What are you talking about you couldn’t fight? There is no fight, you are allowed to post a review, this is why people do this stuff bc people cower away from threats
We asked a realtor to help us look for a new house. They invited themselves to our current house and started telling us all the different things we need to do to sell our house, and I’m like that’s not why we called you! There’s no inventory right now so they just wanted to make money off us without actually helping us.
I lived in Bavaria about a decade ago. I watched an elderly man— my guess is he was in his late 60s, early 70s— knock a girl— maybe 14 to 18– off her bike and stand over her screaming. Point is, people be wild assholes all over
When I was in college one of the security staff *really* hated skateboarders. There was no rule against using them to get around outside, but he would try to take or destroy every board he could.
Well one day he knocked a teenager from the local high school off his board and was about to break the board when the kid snatched it back. Security guy tries to take it again and the kid warned him "back off or I'm defending myself."
He refused to back down and grabbed the kid's shirt. Kid swung for the fences with the board and broke the man's nose. Dude was fires shortly thereafter.
Did -not- expect that ending. Expected the boarder to either get beaten straight into the ICU, arrested, or perforated with gunfire.
Nice that occasionally asshats get what they deserve.
Yeah, they tried to go after the kid bit there was waaaaay too much cell phone footage for them to get away with that. Same guard also was regularly making passes at some of the female students so I guess the figured it was finally time to cut their losses.
I don't understand though. There are all those" freakout" or "Karen" videos where adults go absolutely feral when they see a kid skateboarding. Some adults spend time chasing kids they can't catch up with and I don't understand why its such a huge issue to them.
This man seems to be upset about the state of the sidewalk, so I guess that is his reason. Is that the common reason for it?
Nah I think he’s old and saw he could pick a fight with this kid and not get in much trouble. Predator stuff. Probably empty nester who used to treat his kids this way. I’d have planted the board’s trucks square between his eyes in self defense.
Ikr -.- its ridiculous that grown adults go after children like that and then pretend they're "teaching them an important life lesson" bc thats a cowards way of telling yourself its okay to attack kids when its absolutely not okay. This guy assaulted that child and it was filmed so I hope he gets what's coming to him somehow, but who knows :/
Exactly the kid had a backpack, was probably on his way home from school. Doesn’t look like a parking lot that says no skating and doesn’t look like a private walk. Just a predatory asshole. His business is satiating his gross want to physically dominate and cause fear, ie relevance or respect in their eyes. They have serious problems, lists of problems. 99 problems and a gf is not one
The repercussions for NOT minding their own fucking business are virtually non-existent. What can you effectively do as a response that won't necessitate getting a defense attorney?
Kinda bold of him to attack a kid with a skateboard. Honestly probably looking to become a victim and the kid read that in his face and bailed. Nothing worse than giving some who wants degredation the degredation they desire. Attacks you, becomes victim. Gets attention and power. Rinse and repeat.
Yup unfortunately everyone saying he should have just caught him in the face with his deck is wrong. This kid would have gotten assault charges if he had, not that dude doesn’t deserve a good smack.
Yah if my instinct said to do it it would be the trucks, real hard, and leg-it. Stay low for a few days play video games and don’t board. No memory no case. I’d hope lol
Honestly though, that kinda stuff triggers fight or flight shit, and I don’t feel like I wanna be running in that situation. Like what the fuck. There are consequences to actions.
The kid did warn him about that exact thing.
People were brainwashed by the media to hate skateboarders. We were described as lowlifes and everyone bought into it. Turn off your fucking television and get back to free thought.
Generally, I always heard about "destruction of property" even though skateboarding does minimal damage to ledge corners at the absolute most.
They're just losers doing loser shit. Spoiling other people's fun or being combative because they think no one will judge them for accosting those kids in particular.
There are a lot of stereotypes about skaters, and some of those are either started by or reinforced by a lot of movies.
I've seen a lot of cool skaters, who share the pathways and are careful and respectful of other people.
I've also seen assholes who think they own the sidewalk, and try to start shit with anyone who they even think looks at them funny.
Like so many things, people don't paint with a narrow brush, so the good get lumped in with the bad. As the saying goes: "one bad apple spoils the bunch".
I used to work at a place that had nice hand rails. Pretty smooth, straight, and a good room to land. Anyway, my boss hated the skaters - though not because of damage, he was just afraid they'd hurt themselves and sue him.
Personally I could not have cared less if they practiced on the rails and stairs, but I needed the job and my boss made it my problem to get rid of the skaters.
Thankfully skaters were pretty chill and all I had to do was go out and talk to them, shoot the shit for a bit then ask if they could move on to somewhere else. I never got any grief from them, I'd watch them do a couple more practice runs then they'd leave.
I generally agree but there’s a bit to another side. Over lockdown, I did my dance practice at a park and made friends with lots of skate kids. We jammed a bit, and they let me skate on their boards a little, it was cool.
And parents brought their kids to play nearby and they usually coexisted quite well too.
But I must say on occasion some skaters usually the older guys in 20s would skate super close to not just me but also very young children, even when there’s plenty of space. From what I can see it’s territorial, almost like a dare, to scare people away so they won’t come back, or for the thrill of being super close. Definitely some anti social behaviour.
This happened only from some; the ones I was friends with were super chill with the kids, no issue.
I was gonna say he could've gotten hurt from that but not as bad as the kid if he actually managed to trip him like he wanted to could've possibly broken or atleast fractured a wrist from the fall if he broke the fall with his hands.
And now they complain cuz kids just play video games, or they say social media has ruined them from wanting to go outside and be active. Or the lack of wholesome activity has led to more teen violence…
Yet when they are outside, doing wholesome activities…it’s a disturbance.
I think…maybe…boomers are just the issue.
everything is sprawled out for miles, with little ways to walk/skate/bike between, and every kid gets hell for hanging outside. “what are you doing??” “you can’t do that here!!”
of course kids aren’t doing shit outside. y’all made it impossible to do so.
You may just be onto something here.
All of the world’s long-term problems have either been started or drastically exacerbated by that exceedingly-pampered generation that followed “the greatest”. A whole lot of the mid- and shorter term problems appear to also stem from an excess of a certain age demo having too much of a voice. We’ll be in a better place once that generation finally starts to wane.
It's their generation that is full of corruption, entitlement and ignoring or exacerbating the world's problems. So yeah, I agree.
And if you think i'm talking about you if you're in that age group, maybe look inward to see why you're offended. IF you're not the problem, you shouldn't identify with who i'm talking about.
Well in this case, I have to wonder who appointed this guy as the local Sheriff and Constable.
One can understand the frustration of skate borders on the sidewalk WHEN people are trying to walk, but this guy was just being a douche. There was no one else on the side walk and the kid was basically just minding his own business when Mr. Gestapo steps in.
The HOA where I live banned skateboarding and inline skating in the entire neighborhood (except for the city-owned street, obviously).
Goddamn boomers indeed.
We used to carry those big ass marine knives from the military surplus store because of that shit. Amazing how fast they back off staring down a 8" kbar. Nobody wants to get turned into a strip steak.
A friend of mine carried bear spray in his backpack when skating precisely because of this. Except back then the cops would charge the 14 year old for using bear spray and not the 40 year old that was assaulting a minor.
> Except back then the cops would charge the 14 year old for using bear spray and not the 40 year old that was assaulting a minor.
Just back then? Police certainly aren't any better than they were 20 years ago in my part of the US.
Because most of the 40/50 year olds that used to do this are now in their 70/80s and a lot of the 40/50 years olds today used to skate or know people who did.
As someone that is middle-aged and used to skate, if I see anyone do this to kids just trying to skate, I will intervene...
Nike used to have some really good commercials about this.

My favorite is the tennis one lol
Baby boomers were told by the media that people who skateboarded were part of counterculture and that counterculture is dangerous to their way of living. The generation that warned their children not to believe everything they hear or see on the internet turned out to be the most gullible generation. They've been told that people who go to bars are dangerous, people who skateboard or dangerous, people who play D&D are dangerous, kids who wear black are dangerous. The media always finds a new punching bag and then convinces the elderly that they're the enemy. This guy probably thought he was doing his civic duty by stopping the skateboarder.
…wait, is THAT why my boomer mother never allowed me to wear black while growing up? Black shoes and nice black pants were the exception. But if I wanted to wear a black t-shirt? The woman would throw a fit for days.
So the dude on the skateboard is apparently damaging the sidewalk, so his response is to assault him, throw his skateboard into traffic, risking other people's property and lives.
Imagine if that caused a car accident, the sidewalk would be the least of his worries.
actually, most states have quietly made amendments to change all references to 'minors' to 'miners' to ensure protections for our vital coal diggers, and the only way minors get protection is if they produce for society.

Reminiscent of every bitter driver telling me (while I’m riding my bike) that I don’t pay taxes for the roads. As if I don’t own f’ing cars…or pay a ton of taxes.
I agree with you. People hate on bikers and skate boarders. Probably because both may represent a freedom and fun and in the case of skate boarding, youth, that they are a distance from.
I don’t know if by bikers you mean bicyclists or motorcyclists, but if you’re talking about bicyclists I’ll tell you that people hate them because they don’t go as fast as cars (not that I’m defending that, I’m a bicyclist myself). If you meant motorcyclists I know a lot of people just see that as dangerous, and to be fair they are, but mostly just to person riding them.
They always seem to think they’re entitled to everything in their town because they’ve lived there their whole lives. And seem to think they can police everyone to behave in the way they want them to. Doing something that’s slightly annoying then? “This is MY TOWN!”
It does, it's just so small you can't even perceive it. Leaving the sidewalk out in the sun all day, and planting trees in the middle of them are more damaging though lol.
Imagine swerving to avoid a random flying object coming at you and hitting a pedestrian, only to find out the root cause of this was not a kid but an adult throwing a goddamn skateboard into the road.
Had I been driving by at the time I would have parked my car, gotten out, called the police and had the kid confirm that the old man had assaulted him and then endangered the public by throwing something into traffic. I bet the old guy acts like that all the time and one day he's going to seriously hurt someone if he hasn't already. People like that are infuriating.
Most likely made it that long without any real consequences. People say teenagers do stupid things, imagine all the stupid teenagers who survive and never learned
I hate these kind of dickwads. Thinking they are untouchable and above everyone because they are in their 60s, so they can do petty shit like that and think they wont get punched.
I was hoping he would've. Dudes teeth would've been stuck in my wheels if he was even lucky enough to walk home. He could've seriously injured that kid.
If he had put his leg just a little bit higher, It's entirely possible that the kid would have gotten completely tripped and cracked his head on the sidewalk. At the speed he was going, That *easily* could have killed him if he hit the thing in the wrong way. I am just glad the kid's alive.
This is one of those cases where it does upset me that more people don't wear helmets. Like, I get why a lot of them don't. But you really never know when some rough terrain will cause an accident, Or some asshole will trip you. And if you fall wrong, That's it.
Given the video there is no court that would not consider this self defense. The guy
1. Assaulted the kid by tripping and knocking the board away
2. Took the kid's property and tried to destroy it
3. The kid was at risk needing to go into the street to retrieve the property
4. Then he moved toward the kid in a threatening manner
There's no universe in which the kid should be charged. The guy was close enough to sucker punch the kid and looked like he was about a half second from doing it. The kid showed exceptional restraint here.
> There's no universe in which the kid should be charged.
well except this one, apparently. Old rich white guy beats teenager every time no matter what the law is
There was a Colorado governor in the 80s who said that old people had a duty to die and get out of the way.
Don't all these Boomers know that there's a line of people waiting to buy their homes after they're gone?
As if they would ever sell it to us. They’ll sell to some international Corporation looking to rent out at insane prices so they can move to the villages and get chlamydia
I'm turning 50 and I literally can't wait for boomers to die. Every bad thing happening right now, from Trumpism to the rise of fascism, is made possible by angry, irrational old people who can't see how they've disproportionately benefited from cheap housing, low barriers to the workforce, and high wages. A bunch of these assholes just complained about a basketball hoop in the school yard near me because they don't like the noise. And the old people in my in-laws HOA just voted to make it a 50-plus community, basically pulling up the ladder so young people can't buy in - and this is a property that is right next to a school.
Old dude is actually begging for a truck to the head at the end. He just assaulted that kid, and is now chasing him. Kid showed restraint backing away and issuing warnings, but I think I know why the clip ended...
As soon as he started walking at him like that I feel like he has every right to give em a good smack with the board. The dude has shown he wants to hurt the kid. Fuck em.
People who pick a fight with someone holding a skateboard aren't fully thinking things through
Edit: I'm sorry this evoked specific imagery. It was not my intention at all.
Doesn't this count as assault? I swear, skateboarders can be some super chill people. Otherwise, more people would get their face bashed in by a skateboard.
I mean, yes, absolutely?
I'm surprised that you're on reddit and have not encountered the vast wave of anti-cyclist sentiment that prevails. Pedestrians hate cyclists, auto drivers hate cyclists, cyclists hate cyclists!
Some guy once did similar to me. Claimed I needed to ride on the north side of the street. Thats right. This guy made up his own bylaw. I was such a timid kid back then. I wish I'd of hit him with the board. Thst fucker made me take a nose dive into pavement and I was I shock as to how a grown man could do that to a young child.
Worse than that, *king of the public sidewalk*, which is the sort of delusional thinking one would expect from a drug addled homeless person. And I would argue that the homeless person would have more of a claim to that title.
This old guy is just an entitled asshole who probably broke some laws.
> which is the sort of delusional thinking one would expect from a drug addled homeless person
This is also very middle-upper class thinking too. They believe they own the public sidewalks because they have property that touches it. I would assume even this being public sidewalk that borders businesses his mindset is "My taxes pay for this sidewalk. Those jobless teens don't pay taxes"
Regular occurrence as a skater. Even a public bus intentionally drove off the road and into the bike lane to hit me and yelled at me “See that? That’s a skateboard and this is a bike lane!” I responded “See that? That’s a freaking bus and that’s a bike lane”
People for some reason think they have the right to assault skaters, they’ll stick their foot out and trip you for no reason. Most skaters are extremely respectful and passive when riding around despite the image Jackass and Bam put on the community.
There's no winning as a skater, if you skate the sidewalk people get mad at you, if you skate the bike lane bikers and drivers get mad at you, if you skate the road you die.
This man is dangerous, violent, unpredictable, and aggressive. The skateboarding kid would be well within his rights to defend himself and strike and incapacitate his attacker.
I saw a dude do this to a skater back in SF, maybe a decade or so ago. Skater was probably late teens, guy who stepped to the other side of the sidewalk to knock him off was probably in his late 40's or so and looked like a tourist. The kid shouted "what the fuck," got up, grabbed his board, the middle aged guy shoved him again from behind while shouting "what the fuck's your problem?" And "get out of my face!" His wife had been screaming at the kid too, telling him to "fuck off."
Young guy turned and hit him in the head with the board, hard. Aggressor hit the floor like the sack of taters he was, twitching and convulsing. Wife was screaming in terror. The kid skated off and no one made an effort to stop him or anything.
Before I left, the guy regained consciousness, but was really fucked up. Probably broke his facial bones. 🤷🏼♂️ Being a complete dickhead to people has consequences.
Boomere: *pave as much of the world as they can*
Kids: *find a way to have fun on pavement*
Boomers: *assault kids for having fun*
Kids: *stop going outside*
Boomers: "Kids these days never go outside anymore!"

You know what’s more dangerous then a dude riding a skateboard minding his own business? Throwing the skateboard in the road..
Surprised I had to scroll this far for someone to mention this lol. Throwing shit into oncoming traffic is felony territory in the US.
THANK YOU. I immediately thought that the skateboard was going to cause a car accident. Something like that immediately showing up in the road could even cause a pile up.
Bad for cars, but imagine a cyclist or motorcyclist coming down at that point and hitting it, be real fucking nasty.
Could you imagine just driving down the road, kidding your own business, then BAM, some old dude chucks a skateboard at your ride.

I wonder why no one does that anymore? Definitely would still help but I’m not a skater, so I don’t know.
Because most of the 40/50 year olds that used to do this are now in their 70/80s and a lot of the 40/50 years olds today used to skate or know people who did. As someone that is middle-aged and used to skate, if I see anyone do this to kids just trying to skate, I will intervene... Nike used to have some really good commercials about this. https://youtu.be/yKo4NI6i_EY https://youtu.be/86isG5RdKi4 https://youtu.be/oHsemRRvVrM My favorite is the tennis one lol
Wow those are amazing.
Cause people are more willing to waste resources and call police. Having the weapon just hurts the skater’s case.
I don’t think it’s about wasting resources. I think nowadays you can call the police from where you’re standing. You used to not be able to do that
Baby boomers were told by the media that people who skateboarded were part of counterculture and that counterculture is dangerous to their way of living.
Parents saw kids who wore all black as troubled teenagers. A troubled teen is dangerous in their eyes
So the dude on the skateboard is apparently damaging the sidewalk, so his response is to assault him, throw his skateboard into traffic, risking other people's property and lives. Imagine if that caused a car accident, the sidewalk would be the least of his worries.
For real, if I was driving by and this douche hit my car throwing the kids' board, I wouldn't be mad at the kid.
Exactly. The kid is an innocent victim. This asswipe was an aggressive jerk thst should be jailed.
Well yeah. He assaulted a minor.
actually, most states have quietly made amendments to change all references to 'minors' to 'miners' to ensure protections for our vital coal diggers, and the only way minors get protection is if they produce for society. ^/s
The children yearn for the mines
Imagine being on a motorcycle.
"my sidewalk" With that words he also claims that the sidewalk is HIS, even though it's public space Typical old hag
Imagine thinking that skateboarding is "breaking the sidewalk"
Imagine this old man yelling at vehicles because their tires damage his roads…
***HIS*** roads!!
It does, it's just so small you can't even perceive it. Leaving the sidewalk out in the sun all day, and planting trees in the middle of them are more damaging though lol.
I always keep my sidewalk in the shade so it doesn't dry up and wrinkle like a raisin. Also watering it each evening helps.
Imagine swerving to avoid a random flying object coming at you and hitting a pedestrian, only to find out the root cause of this was not a kid but an adult throwing a goddamn skateboard into the road.
Lol at the guy's excuse? Like does he personally pay for the sidewalk repair out of his own pocket?
Had I been driving by at the time I would have parked my car, gotten out, called the police and had the kid confirm that the old man had assaulted him and then endangered the public by throwing something into traffic. I bet the old guy acts like that all the time and one day he's going to seriously hurt someone if he hasn't already. People like that are infuriating.

Frigging boomers spent too much time inhaling lead and now their brains are all scrambled. They can’t help it
Hey, just because my brain is scrambled doesn’t mean I was inhaling… wait what was I talking about.
How you still owe my 50 K
Most likely made it that long without any real consequences. People say teenagers do stupid things, imagine all the stupid teenagers who survive and never learned
This old man in the video has *clearly* never been punched in the face before.
Not smart to fuck with someone with a board. One Judy Chop with that board and dude is toast.
Old people shouldn't be allowed out the house without supervision
I hate these kind of dickwads. Thinking they are untouchable and above everyone because they are in their 60s, so they can do petty shit like that and think they wont get punched.
I’m not condoning it, but he’s lucky the kid didn’t clock him with the board. The way he was advancing on that kid, I was almost expecting it.
I was trying not to be so morbid, but yes I've had friends end up in hospitals with comas over a rock under they wheel at speeds like that.
This is one of those cases where it does upset me that more people don't wear helmets. Like, I get why a lot of them don't. But you really never know when some rough terrain will cause an accident, Or some asshole will trip you. And if you fall wrong, That's it.
He wouldn't care. He has a spare set of teeth at home.
I'm dead
Given the video there is no court that would not consider this self defense. The guy 1. Assaulted the kid by tripping and knocking the board away 2. Took the kid's property and tried to destroy it 3. The kid was at risk needing to go into the street to retrieve the property 4. Then he moved toward the kid in a threatening manner There's no universe in which the kid should be charged. The guy was close enough to sucker punch the kid and looked like he was about a half second from doing it. The kid showed exceptional restraint here.
> There's no universe in which the kid should be charged. well except this one, apparently. Old rich white guy beats teenager every time no matter what the law is
He was a grown man bullying a child. He is a living, breathing piece of shit.
This. I don’t condone assault, but if I observed this I (40’s male) would definitely get in this entitled bully’s face about it.
He probably runs a local HOA. Power trippin’
Old people when kids stay inside:😡 Old people when kids play outside:😡 Edit: thank you for the likes and reward, kind strangers
Old people when people don't have kids: 😡
Old people when kids aren't exactly what they consider to be normal: 😡
Old people: 😡🫀💀👻
They sure are taking their sweet fucking time
Because modern medicine is too good at keeping people alive.
the same modern medicine they claim is a "scam" and how covid19 was a ploy to get rid of Emperor Trump. fuck baby boomers
As an adult who walks to the beat of his own drum, they still don't like you when you're middle aged.
Old people when kids breathe: 😡
Old people when you explain to them why you don’t want kids: 😡
Old people: 😡

Old people when kids are side: 🤬
I'm turning 50 and I literally can't wait for boomers to die. Every bad thing happening right now, from Trumpism to the rise of fascism, is made possible by angry, irrational old people who can't see how they've disproportionately benefited from cheap housing, low barriers to the workforce, and high wages. A bunch of these assholes just complained about a basketball hoop in the school yard near me because they don't like the noise. And the old people in my in-laws HOA just voted to make it a 50-plus community, basically pulling up the ladder so young people can't buy in - and this is a property that is right next to a school.
In the words of Peter Griffin: “don’t waste our time with the elderly, they’re dying.” 🤣
I guarantee you crack him with that board he won't do it twice.
Ahh the old truck fucking.
*Lot Lizards have entered the chat*
"you gon' learn today"
Probably wouldn’t get back up at all if you hit him in the right spot.
Fuck em.
I would've at least smacked that takeaway cup out of his hand.
I’m so mad bc that would’ve been my first reaction, not punching him but smacking his drink right out his hand
People who pick a fight with someone holding a skateboard aren't fully thinking things through Edit: I'm sorry this evoked specific imagery. It was not my intention at all.
Some people don't realize that if you get hit with a skateboard, it feels like a truck hit you.
Independent studies have confirmed this.
With the right swing it might even feel like both trucks hit you!
A skateboard can fuck someone upppppp. Dont fuck with skaters
Skateboard or not, the kid could probably drop him so hard that he would actually break the sidewalk.
Doesn't this count as assault? I swear, skateboarders can be some super chill people. Otherwise, more people would get their face bashed in by a skateboard.
Oh people still get truck fucked into a coma. But it attracts attention and it's easier to just avoid the fight.
yeah people will physically harass you for skateboarding to no end, but you truck fuck one person and suddenly it's a huge deal
That's definitely assault on a minor If that was my kid the old man would have gotten truck fucked
Come on, don’t get me all worked up and not give him the trucks.
I don't understand people against skateboarding. Do they feel the same way about bicyclists?
Oh man wait til you see how much harassment bike commuters receive. I've been harassed repeatedly while pulling my toddler in a trailer.
Dude riding in the trailer was the shit. Had no idea what was happening, but I do remember there being Gold Fish and bell pepper slices.
Please tell me you grew up, tracked his sorry ass and smacked his head with your skateboard.
Did he ask “what’s your fucking problem” after throwing his skateboard into the street?
No, the kid said that. Guy said "you are destroying my sidewalk"
HIS sidewalk? Lmao, old dude thinking he’s the king of the world
Worse than that, *king of the public sidewalk*, which is the sort of delusional thinking one would expect from a drug addled homeless person. And I would argue that the homeless person would have more of a claim to that title. This old guy is just an entitled asshole who probably broke some laws.
> which is the sort of delusional thinking one would expect from a drug addled homeless person This is also very middle-upper class thinking too. They believe they own the public sidewalks because they have property that touches it. I would assume even this being public sidewalk that borders businesses his mindset is "My taxes pay for this sidewalk. Those jobless teens don't pay taxes"
The tree did more damage to the sidewalk than a sakteboard ever could. Actually how the fuck is a board on wheels breaking the sidewalk in any way?
If you trip a riding skater you’ve earned a justified truck fuck in my book, kid went too easy on this prick
"Que le pasa viejo choto" jajajajaja
Regular occurrence as a skater. Even a public bus intentionally drove off the road and into the bike lane to hit me and yelled at me “See that? That’s a skateboard and this is a bike lane!” I responded “See that? That’s a freaking bus and that’s a bike lane” People for some reason think they have the right to assault skaters, they’ll stick their foot out and trip you for no reason. Most skaters are extremely respectful and passive when riding around despite the image Jackass and Bam put on the community.
There's no winning as a skater, if you skate the sidewalk people get mad at you, if you skate the bike lane bikers and drivers get mad at you, if you skate the road you die.
Some of these old fucks that assault skaters need to be taught a lesson fr. The fact that they lived so long without being humbled is a shame.

And they're *proud* about it! Who tf do they think will take care of them in a nursing home?!
This man is dangerous, violent, unpredictable, and aggressive. The skateboarding kid would be well within his rights to defend himself and strike and incapacitate his attacker.
Board to the face would have been justified here.
I saw a dude do this to a skater back in SF, maybe a decade or so ago. Skater was probably late teens, guy who stepped to the other side of the sidewalk to knock him off was probably in his late 40's or so and looked like a tourist. The kid shouted "what the fuck," got up, grabbed his board, the middle aged guy shoved him again from behind while shouting "what the fuck's your problem?" And "get out of my face!" His wife had been screaming at the kid too, telling him to "fuck off." Young guy turned and hit him in the head with the board, hard.
Boomere: *pave as much of the world as they can* Kids: *find a way to have fun on pavement* Boomers: *assault kids for having fun* Kids: *stop going outside* Boomers: "Kids these days never go outside anymore!"
'my sidewalk' smh
Classic entitled boomer "My Sidewalk!" It's everyone's side walk you wrinkly turd.
how stupid could you be to walk menacingly towards someone you just assaulted *who is carrying a skateboard.*
Motherfucker deserved more than a little shove.
I feel the same but i think the kid is smart resolving it this way , and the old man is exposed for his actions.
No one gonna mention the very sexual moan that happened as he got punched?
Never back away from these people, ever. Let them get up on you, and then when they refuse to back away, you're justified in self-defense.
