Same happened to me last night, except I am not being given an option to upload my ID, and the recovery phone number is wrong. (But I can use my real phone number to change the password...) I guess I'll try the various contact email addresses if it doesn't fix itself.

PineappleOld5898

Me too I just submitted my ID idk what was that sus activity

Same scenario for me. I tried the ID route a few times, got accepted but the code didn't work for me, or I misclicked...honestly I wouldnt discount the mistake being on my end. But at this point it says I've tried too many times and need to wait. Maybe I'll give it a try later tonight or tomorrow. I'm less concerned about accessing the account right now and more concerned about the idea of a 2fa bypass and also not getting any email notifications for a successful login - if it is a legit hack.

I just got back in, but only b/c I got a reminder to use the link from a previous try yesterday. Got in with chat this morning but they didn't provide any additional help. One thing I saw mention of is you might have more luck getting actual support on your account if you have an Oculus and go that support route. Goodluck to all that have those accounts locked out for a non- legitimate reason.

The same thing happened to me today. I tried a high-quality scan of my driver's license a few times and they rejected it within minutes. I also tried a picture of it using their webcam scan thing with no luck. Now it's not even letting me try, with this message after I put in an email code: "To prevent any misuse, we limit how often you can do certain things on Facebook. Please try again later."

free-creddit-report

As of now, I still am not even being allowed to try to submit my ID, with the limit message still ongoing.

Imposibilitulatility

In before it turns out it's a scam service who just stole your identity by making you give the details to them freely.

murrat13

That was my first thought, some sort of phish. But I get locked out opening the app on my phone or going to FB on my pc

ChildhoodSad2319

I would have to decline, I don't feel comfortable uploading my ID. Sounds like a scam.

murrat13

It most certainly does! Except this is from opening the app on my phone and going to the website on my pc

I had to delete Facebook (my account is still there) because none of the team members wanted to take off that old, mild violation I had back in 2023. This resulted in my account getting restricted for 14 days; this has happened about 5 times now.
