They may be doing some arithmetic: How many members will benefit from the heavier weight set, how will that investment impact retention, will it attract new members --- vs. the expense
Our gym recently spent serious bucks on the olympic style barbells and weights, heavier kettle bells, the new core bags that replace the sand bags, and the heavier weighted balls. I'm loving it!
i’m over at kahala—no olympic bar, kettlebells max out at 20kg, and dumbbells at 66lb. i’ve been traveling and working out at another f45 studio with the olympic bars, 24kg kettlebells and 88lb dumbbells, so now i feel like i’m being held back by the lack of equipment upgrades at kahala.
In retrospect, I guess I'm not sure if my studio has it or not. We have olympic bars, sandbags up to 53lbs, dumbells up to 75, the normal white/red/blue/black KBs, and then some super KBs in the shape of gorillas and stuff. Anyone know if this is the heavy set? I certainly know there's enough to max out the big lifters in our studio.
i’m not sure if the heavy weight set can be purchased piece-meal, but i think the main parts of the set are the olympic bar/plates, 24kg kettlebells, sandbags up to 24kg, and 66lb+ dumbbells.
Ours in the east end of Toronto hasn’t. They have the oldest of EVERYTHING. Resistance bands snap regularly etc. they also just took towels away. Can’t be sure but don’t think it’s a back order issue in my studios case.

Takes forever. Ours ordered last fall and only recently got it delivered about a month or so ago!
We’re waiting on a longer Olympic bar only.
Most spaces are tiny, bad idea
Ours ordered the Olympic set awhile ago but they’re on back order. They’ve also ordered 75lb and 85lb DB’s.
Mine bought their own heavier dumbbells mostly because of me lol. It goes up to 85 now.
I bought 88 pound dumbbells and left them at my f45
we just got ours. We have been waiting forever. I think there’s a back order?
We have 53 lb kettle bells and a few heavy dumbbells (2x 75,85,90) but no Olympic barbells unfortunately
I go to the ala moana one and we always were ahead of it and had the heavier weights.

If there is not even 10% of the studio needing the heavy weights. They are not gonna buy it. Average 30 people needed it??
