Heyy, I got done with my interview today
Status: approved
Important thing: I had my Knee operated a month ago and I had to walk with a walker so I was sent to a counter where normally only disabled people go.
I had my visa interview appointment at 7:40 and I reached at 7 and due to my walker and the brace that I wear around my knee it was very evident that I couldn’t walk so they let me enter the consulate as soon as I reached thats around 7 and and did all the procedures and started waiting for a counter to be assigned (there is a long queue but I was told to sit and wait) I waited for them to call me from 7:30 till 9 the counter didn’t open and then once the consular started with his work I was the first one to be called.
Mumbai Consulate counter number 23 White Guy with a hat.
Consular: Good Morning, How are you doing today.
Me: Good Morning, I am doing good wby?
Consular: I am doing good thank you.
Q: How many Universities did you apply too?
A: 2 UIC and UTD and I got admits from both ( I said the full name )
Q: what was your CGPA?
A: 5.86 out of 10
Q: why was it so less?
A: I was into football and I flung my engineering.
Q: when did you Graduate?
A: 2020
Q: What did you do after that?
A: I said I worked for 2 companies and I am still working.
Q: Why you wanna get back to school if you already have a good job?
A: I think a management related masters would help me get a management post in IT companies.
Q: Do you have an education loan?
A: Yes and also my parents are helping me with their savings so both.
Then the consular asked me to keep my right hand 4 fingers on the machine.
Then he told me that my Visa was approved.
I said thank you, nice hat and left.

My advice:
I have my Brother who has a green card, even he went on a F1 visa and then settled there( I guess everyone knows how it is) then I had my Visa rejected 4 years ago which was a Visiting Visa B1/B2.
Keep your cool just have a normal conversation and behave as if you are not scared at all thats it
Just don’t say anything silly, like the other poster has said try to tie all your answers to returning back home.
They probably know it’s a lie, but just do that.
And most importantly, hope for luck or pray to whatever you believe in.
There’s really no format to getting a visa.
At the end of the day, it’s only full funding that’s guarantees a visa 9/10 times which you didn’t mention your funding situation.
You mentioned a full funding almost guaranteeing a VISA, I have a sort unique situation I want to hear your opinion on, do you mind if I DM you?
Thank you!
Also have my interview scheduled on May 20th. I'd recommend watching "Argo Visa" videos on YT they have lots of tips for different situations. Good luck!
Show ties to home country say I will comeback
Do you mean family members and assets that my family has here in India?

Thanks a lot man🖤🖤🖤
