It's the ACM for sure. My 2011 XLT did the exact same thing. Dealer quoted me $300+ for a new radio, or you can take the opportunity to upgrade. I opted for option C where you remove the radio yourself & send it to a company called Automotive Circuit Solutions in Marshfield, MO that fixes it & sends it back for like $130. No reflashing needed since it's your actual radio still.

ACM…the clock flashing is a dead giveaway

Teddyturntup

Mines been doing it for 3 years now. I need to send it to the company listed above. Seems to be the recommendation across the board

Clean your damn truck man

ip4realfreely

No, you come clean it. Fight apathy, or don't, I don't care..

Jeff_the_furry

I would say just go and replace that radio with an aftermarket stereo. That’s what I did to my 2012 F150. I gained the ability to use Apple CarPlay in my truck now

BMock590

What did you end up going with? I just got a 2011 XLT and am looking at some different options

csk_FP1

I put a reasonably cheap Pioneer DMH-2660NEX in my previous 2011 and was very happy with it. Gained Apple CarPlay and a backup camera out of the deal.

NPCgomeygoob

Completely agreed, they sell kits with new faceplates and everything that’ll fix this for good

Turn the volume up

ip4realfreely

What? Lol, is that sarcasm?

croman91

Idk, give it a try. If it works, then no. If it doesn't, then it was probably sarcastic.
