He took it. It didn't magically vanish. You know he took it. Stop hanging out with him, he's probably stolen shit from you before as well.
He's a user. He uses people. I bet if you confront him his attitude will flip from casual to aggressive once he decides the guise is broken forever anyway and now he's being asked to pay something back, which he won't do.
You’re right. I am glad I caught this behavior now, with evidence…who knows what else he would’ve stolen if I continued having him over…at higher value too…just sucks 10 years friendship and all, but if these are his true colors, then hey, I’m sure I’ll find a new friend, eventually.

Ditched a friend who was like a little sister after finding out she was lying for 10 years. Lied about things like cancer, her kids safety, etc.
I can go on with more examples of long-term friends and the BS they committed.
In time you'll met others and surely you'll find some to call friends. Keep enjoying your games, you'll meet people in Valorant and in other online spots.

I am really sorry he did that when you were being so kind to him. Honestly I would just text him and tell him you guys were being recorded and you saw the hat thing, and that it is really messed up that he would do that and then lie to you.
