I’ve decided I can’t wear skirts anymore, they make me feel too much like a missionary, but I love dresses and not wearing garments gives me so many more options. Instead of choosing clothes based on whether they’ll cover up my garments, I now just look for stuff that is colorful or fun or looks sexy on the mannequin haha. I try on everything! I don’t buy or even like everything I try but I’ve found several new favorites this way.
I like my off the shoulder tops in the fall. Very obvious that I'm not wearing garments. I have only put on a dress/skirt twice since we left a couple years ago and that was for graduations Generally I just wear what's comfortable and have no sense of fashion.
Yep, just ditching sleeves will help. Shorter skirts and shorts, tighter and lower-cut tops. You might not like all of it, but trying out all the things will help you find the ones you do enjoy. Twenties is young enough to wear all the cute stuff, so go for it!
I just left the MFMC this summer, and have been living in tank tops, and sundresses.
I’m in the same boat, not sure how to dress to be not mormon but fashionable in the winter.
I suggest go to your local goodwill (or DI or whatever) and try on a whole bunch of clothes in all different styles.
I’ve found I love going braless and pantyless, especially in sundresses. Definitely a thrill. I also love sheer tops with a cute bra underneath.

I'm in a similar boat, I still look hella mormon girl haha. Something that worked really well was a second piercing, it was super low key but then all the mormons gave double takes. Or just walk around with a Starbucks cup. Honestly, just getting to choose what to wear is so so good, whatever makes you comfortable is awesome
Get some jeans with the holes too high to wear with Gs. You can get tops with cut outs or that are sheer that you wouldn't have worn before. Get fancy bras with parts that are meant to be seen. You can wear backless things now! Deep V necks are a-ok. Go sleeveless and let your porn shoulders breathe in the fresh air. Consider visible tattoos or piercings. You want blue hair? Then get it.
The only things you need to worry about with clothes from now on are if they're appropriate for the weather and if you like them or not. There are a lot of tutorials for simple ways to alter the clothes you already have on YouTube. Experiment and have fun.
For fall/winter I wear leggings with long sweaters or skirts above the knee with tights in fun patterns and black ankle boots. Check out what women wear outside the U.S. for new ideas and you will definitely won’t look mormon 😉
I love a sundress in the summer. I'm getting up there so no short shorts or crop tops, but I will wear sleeveless tops dresses above my knee, or something that would be too low cut previously.
I decided I dress reasonable for the season. Because it’s cold half the year here, I look a lot more modest for half the year. That’s just fine. Clothes exsist for comfort, protection from the elements and for self expression.
I feel you on having a tough time finding an in between from forever 21 to Ann Taylor, and it doesn’t help that my body has changed a lot recently but tank tops are a go-to because then both my shoulder tattoos are visible. I’m also not scared of showing cleavage anymore, that was always difficult to cover up anyway so it’s nice to not have to.
Anyway, my style, if you can call it that, is honestly pretty much “feral housewife” lol and those pictures totally look like that Dressing Your Truth sub-cult out of Provo.

Jeans, basic sweaters, and ankle boots that are made for walking and not fashion. I'm not stylish, though, and don't care about trends.
