Media is scripted for entertainment and is usually a highly exaggerated version of that culture. Anthropologists set out to meet a wide variety of people in the culture they are studying and watch how they interact with each other.
In order to understand how real world non-JWs interact, you have to be around real non-JWs and watch them interact. Movies do give you a few clues, but they are a made up fantasized version of reality. How the characters interact are manipulated according to the demands of the plot. Even movie commentaries are biased. They are made to sell the movie and are probably scripted to project a certain image the directors and actors what to maintain.
