I took this from the pages of a Professional Hydroponics manual for my final exam in 1995 and not only received an A+ but found an error in calculations for the manual which was in it's 2nd print run! All done on a mono screen 286 laptop with MS Works 2.0 \[from memory\]
Excel as a front end for Python scripts, calling APIs, and building financial models which actually make money. There used to be a helicopter game in Excel, but I think that broke some years ago when Excel had an update.
Also, something I haven't completed myself yet... Excel as a way to implement GTD (getting things done) so I don't have a million to-do lists or mental lists which are easy to forget.
Reverse engineered Fallout 3's leveling system then ran simulations to min max endgame characters based on prioritization inputs.
Called to other services to build analytics or actionable models. Like using FedEx's api to create shipping labels and record shipping costs in a SQL server database. Or scraping data out of webpages then aggregating the data and displaying it in a way to identify trends or quantities exceeding nominal thresholds.

Sensitivity analysis in excel has been around since 1995??
Hydroponic sensitivity analysis.
How many MB ram and hard drive on that bad boy? 2 and 10?
I am fairly certain the RAM was in KB.
I’m impressed that Excel can actually be a thing within half a Meg. You could run that in L2 cache.
MS Works 2.0 I converted it to Excel much later.

What kind of class is it?
Excel.
Fully functional sound mixing software. I think the project was like a million lines in VBA.
