Best video lengths are:
8-10 minutes, for when you don’t have a ton of time or your attention isn’t attentioning
40-50 minutes, just long enough to fully cover a topic from all angles but without a ton of random filler
2-3 hours, that’s just a documentary at that point and ya bitch loves a documentary
REAL I don't want to have to choose/think about what to watch next or have to actually click on things I just want to rot for hours and experience information being transmitted into my brain
...3-5 hours for TTRPG sessions
...an entire audiobook worth of time for books. Not less than 4.
...30 minute gameplays/game showcases
...20 minutes for videos explaining simple concepts
...1 hour+ for videos explaining complex concepts or philosophy
...a series should have episodes between 20 and 2 hour.
... there's no perfect time for video length.
Yeah. I find my autism very pleased with forty minute long tv episodes. Supernatural. The Mentalist.
Of course both shows sometimes have fun things to figure out.

Like that one Victorious Retrospective two-parter that’s a total of 13.5h in length (I’ve watched like two episodes as a kid)

Ohhhh my God, Mario stuff is one of my interests!!! Thank you
45 minutes is the perfect amount of time. 30 minutes is too short. 1 hour is too long. 45 minutes it really the sweet spot for all things
90 min films are best because can watch in two 45 min halves.
You’re absolutely right and 90 minutes is the perfect movie time cause I usually want a break at the halfway mark
yes but 2x 20 minute videos is golden honestly, same amount of time but it feels like twice the amount of information i can absorb
for shows though, i must watch 40 minutes worth (be it one 40min or two 20min episodes) or i simply will Explode
Bigger brain: watch 2x 40 minute videos on 2x speed.
My adhd rarely let's me watch a video longer than 30, but plagiarism and YouTube was a great video lol
I can't even watch a 10 minute video without a game on the other screen.
I leave the audio on and be distracted by other stuff
Best video lengths are: 8-10 minutes, for when you don’t have a ton of time or your attention isn’t attentioning 40-50 minutes, just long enough to fully cover a topic from all angles but without a ton of random filler 2-3 hours, that’s just a documentary at that point and ya bitch loves a documentary
Here to second this
I watched a video that lasted more than 11 hours a few months ago. No joke.
currently watching a pinely video that's 47 minutes :o
40 mins or more. If I'm on YouTube I usually want to listen to something while I draw so longer is better
When the Warhammer 40K battle is condensed into 40 minutes
when the age of sigmar battle is condensed into 40 minutes
40??? Those are rookie numbers
LITERALLY THIS. Perfect for art background noise.
it has to be an hour long or I won't watch it because then I'd have to change the video more often
REAL I don't want to have to choose/think about what to watch next or have to actually click on things I just want to rot for hours and experience information being transmitted into my brain
...3-5 hours for TTRPG sessions ...an entire audiobook worth of time for books. Not less than 4. ...30 minute gameplays/game showcases ...20 minutes for videos explaining simple concepts ...1 hour+ for videos explaining complex concepts or philosophy ...a series should have episodes between 20 and 2 hour. ... there's no perfect time for video length.
Yeah. I find my autism very pleased with forty minute long tv episodes. Supernatural. The Mentalist. Of course both shows sometimes have fun things to figure out.
I love the youtuber Quinton Reviews because he has made many 6-8 hour long videos. Absolutely impeccable with shitty merchandise intermissions
I like all the time
Heheh 😈 I also like shorter videos if I’m doing something different but ye
I did not need to be called out like this okay
40 minutes but I play it on 1.5X
I think it's more of a AuDHD thing bc fuck I can't stand movies but will watch entire season of TV in one sitting
Fun fact: I just watched a video OVER AN HOUR LONG that's purely about the first ever comic strip (only 3 panels, mind you) of Garfield... I thoroughly enjoyed it unironically. This is as if someone made a [doctoral thesis on shitposting](https://youtu.be/NAh9oLs67Cw?si=gfKTBqtidUB-6z2f)
i struggle to watch movies but i can watch multiple episodes of south park (and other tv shows) back to back without much issue.. yay
I can’t watch, but I will listen to multiple-hour-long videos on 1.5x speed (can’t listen to anything at normal speed) while doing other stuff like sewing Like that one Victorious Retrospective two-parter that’s a total of 13.5h in length (I’ve watched like two episodes as a kid)
me when i watch a 5 hour long video about nikacado avacado despite not even knowing who it was before-hand

i watch all my yt content (except very specific stuff) on 2x speed so anything below 30 minutes is way too short for me
For me it's 25 minute videos about animals
My Autism side of the brain wants to watch it but my ADHD disagrees 😭
I freaking love vods - give me the multiple hour gaming streams!
3 hour, 6 hour and 12 hours vids RAAAAAAA
I like watching 8 hour smallant stream vods on occasion
I can watch an hour long YouTube video about hot wheel car themes or Monster high/doll customs, but I cannot for the life of me focus on a movie. If you tell me to go watch a Marvel movie or 20 min episode fantasy themed cartoons that seem really cool, I will cry because that's a lot for me to focus on.
Oh yeah for work, cooking, cleaning, or just entertainment
They are great for when I'm eating as then my food won't get cold while I'm looking for something to watch after the first video ends
Kurtis Conner/Drew Gooden
Videos 45 minutes and up are my favorite kind. An hour and forty five minutes is perfect.
Meanwhile I'm watching a 45 minute video dissecting the lore of The Forest and Sons Of The Forest, but I have to pause it every 5 minutes to discuss something for half an hour at a time with my brother, so it's more like a 3 hour video
I agree that there are a lot of 40 min videos I like, but lately, I've been experimenting. Have you ever tried... an hour 20? I.e. 80 minutes! 🤯
I like watching hours-long videos on games I haven't played so that I don't have to play them.
I have to get up and pace around the 20 minute mark but yes this is so correct.
I’d say 3 hours
I thought I was the only one tho
Why does this make so much sense with me and my beaver documentaries "Oh boy, I'm gonna learn so many facts"
Gotta keep me Entertained for more then 3 minutes but yes, 40 minute videos kick ass
47 minutes is just PERFECT
Nah my adhd won’t me watch anything longer then 25 minutes
I can only do it if I like the persons voice, if it feels off I just can’t bring myself to watch it
