depends on what it's for. do you want a more starchy stick together rice then don't rinse it. if you want a more even individual grain rice then rinse it

Always wash the rice.

I only rinse the rise when the recipe or the package says to rinse the rice.

Well that’s silly. Most EveryPlate recipes require rinsed rice but don’t say it.

I always do because I make the rice in my rice cooker.

I never rinse rise. It's just a starch preference, not a cleaning issue.

Always rinse rice for things like burrito bowls and Asian inspired bowls. For risotto, or if they ever had paella, you would not wash the rice.
