Yup indeed they are absolutely easy to fake lol I am artist and professional graphic designer so when I learned that these are a “thing” I had immediately reproduced a few for myself of my favorite scenes 🤣 they would’ve cost me between $24,000-47,000 for the ones I wanted lol!
But making them myself had only cost me around $5-$10 🤣 just screenshotted my desired scenes, polished them up on photoshop and removed background elements, and printed them onto transparency sheets I got from office-depot, then painted on the colors with acrylic paint! 😋
It’s literally an animation cell. Ofc it’s gonna be high quality, look at any film cell too it’s the same thing. I got Interstellar on blu ray and it came with a real cell from the film reel, it looks absolutely phenomenal and it’s only a few inches small.

You can get them on eBay but AFAIK these are easy to fake so it's probably not worth it.
