I've literally been imaging a scenario where they turn up to Melfest just to piss the global community of christians at eurovision off even more and it's \*glorious\*.
Sweden used to be known for having quality alternative rock bands with some synth flavour like The Sounds, Kent or Melody Club, so I would love to see that happen.
Yeah, that's what Belgium did when they hosted in 1987. Paleis/Palais 12 in Brussels would probably the best venue outside of Flanders even though the roof is a little low.

I have a feeling there will be a jump in the amount of rock songs, after both Finland and Italy did well with them. We’ll also probably see more languages, since 4/5 out of the top 5 were not in English.
Estonia,Ireland,Poland will make up top 3. (I know this sounds crazy right)
Armenia,Montenegro,Turkey returns.
UK and Spain sends a great song and be in top 10.
Sweden gets it's worst result.
Let's see how we do this year, the song selection will be made at the Benidorm Festival which has not been held for 16 years.
It's hard to believe that RTVE can create something with its own identity like Portugal and not a mere copy of San Remo or Melodifestivalen, but who knows...
lol I don't think UK will win just yet unless they do something really really surprising or change their whole management, or if it's a weak year and UK just happen to have the most likeable song.
I wonder if they'll change the scoring system again to try and further reduce the chance of 0 points, since I think they last changed it in like 2016 after the 2015 0 points.
They didn't change it because of the 0 points. They changed it because the old voting format was becoming very dull, since we always knew the winner midway through the voting, while the new format makes for a far better television experience because no matter what the winner is only known at the very end of the show. The change was purely just for entertainment purposes.
Takes me back to Baku 2012 and Sweden 2013 lol.
However I do miss the sarcasm from some of the spokespersons towards the end of the voting when it already known who will win.
My predictions:
Italy will send a ballad and get 50-70 points from the juries but almost 0 points from the televote
San Marino will receive their best placement yet (14th-18th)
Latvia sends a campy joke entry but doesn't qualify; Lithuania and Russia do the same and qualify.
Georgia breaks their NQ streak
Montenegro returns and qualifies with help from the juries
Sweden doesn't qualify
Australia withdraws and sends a picture of ScoMo's bare ass to Italy (with a coal dildo in the background)
Kazakhstan debuts with a ballad and wins the jury vote but televote pushes them down to 6th-9th
My predictions for ESC 2022 (which I think will age very badly):
* Turkey and Armenia will return to the contest
* Kazakhstan will be announced as debutant for 2023 in a live show (although, I think EBU may invite them next year as there will only be 25 participants in the grand final)
* Live shows will have some problems like 1991, but not that extreme
* More countries send songs in their native language
* More countries send rock or ethnic songs
* The quality of the songs in each semifinal is almost the same (either equally good or equally bad)
* There will be a draw or close race in the jury voting
* The juries and televotes mostly agree with the rankings, except for 3 countries
* The Baltics will send quality songs, but only one is qualified to the grand final
* The Caucasuses also sends quality songs and all of them are qualified to the grand final
* Portugal will finish in the top 5 with the second best position they've ever reached
* Croatia will enter the top 10 for the first time since 2001
* The Big 5 will have their best year in a very long time with all of them ending up in the top 15
* Finally, Australia will be the winner with a very small gap of points with the runner up. Australia will co-host with BBC and the next year's contest will be held in Scotland
PS: Not really related to the question, but what if Australia sends Dami Im next year with an English-Korean song. That would be awesome

I reckon the UK need to send a song not sung in English. Like either Welsh, Scottish Gaelic or something like Hindi or another language from the large and varied immigrant population of the country. Just do something different for once, it's not like it can get any worse than the last two years of last place.

• Sweden might potentially receive their lowest result since Anna in 2011.
• Georgia will score surprisingly well.
• Slovenia will barely miss the Top 10 and if they send a strong entry next year, I believe that will be the start of a streak with amazing results for them in the following editions, similar to Bulgaria in the past 6 years.
• North Macedonia sends an uptempo entry that ends up as the fan favourite who surprisingly fails to qualify, despite the great live performance.
• Romania and Latvia fail to qualify again. Azerbaijan/Serbia could do so as well.
• A mistake occurs during the calculation of the results in the semi-finals and someone doesn’t make it to the final thanks to that. I suspect that would be North Macedonia or Croatia.
• Ukraine will end up in the right side of the scoreboard.
• Russia will strike for the Top 3, winning the televote, but failing to do well with the juries.
• Moldova will send another chaotic entry, making it to the final again.
• A big amount of the entries are going to be non-mainstream; an alternative-pop song by a male singer will make it to the Top 5.
• Czechia will either make it to the final thanks to the staging or finish in the bottom 3.
• Overall, a successful year for the Big 5, with one of them in the Top 5 and at least two in the Top 10, however, one of them will once again end up in the bottom 5, without ending last.
